Abstract

LKPD is one type of teaching material that is used as a learning resource in the implementation of education in schools, including in learning Physics. The reality in school, in the learning process that occurs specifically in Physics subjects, is that learning outcomes are still low. One of the reasons for using the LKPD used is not optimal. The noble character demanded by the curriculum has also not been seen in the LKPD. Besides that the LKPD used is not based on the Discovery Learning model optimally. One teaching material that can overcome this problem is LKPD based on the Discovery Learning model with character values. The purpose of this study was to produce LKPD based on the Discovery Learning model with character values to improve students' physical competencies in business material and energy, momentum and impulses. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development) with the object of research is LKPD based on the Discovery Learning model containing character values. The instrument of data collection in this study is a validity sheet for experts to determine product validity. Practical sheets for students in the form of questionnaires to determine the practicality of LKPD based on Discovery Learning models with character values in learning. Based on data analysis, two results of this study can be stated. First, LKPD based on Discovery Learning models containing character values in business and energy and momentum and impulse material are valid and appropriate to use in the learning process of Physics. This is indicated by the average validity of experts and practitioners respectively 86.76 and 96.19. Teaching materials also have good descriptions. Second, the use of these Physics teaching materials in the learning of class X high school students is practical with an average practicality value of 81.02.

Abstract

Creativity of educator in the learning process is the key to improve the competence of learners. One way is by developing teaching materials creatively to attract learners to learn. Using animated story based handout is an alternative to improve the competence of learners. This study aims to investigate the Effect of animated story based handout in POE's learning model to the achievement of student competencies at the SMP N 7 Padang. This research classified into Quasi Experiment research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The research population was all students in grade VII registered in the academic year 2015/2016. The technique sampling was cluster random sampling.. Research data includes knowledge competencies, skills and attitude. The research instrument is in the form of a written test for competency knowledge, scorring rubric for competency skills and observation sheet for competence of attitude. Data were analyzed using statistical test of equality of two average (t-test) and chi square test. The result of the knowledge competencies show experimental class and control class different significantly on the real level of significant 0,05. This difference is believed to be the effect of the treatment given to the experimental class, so that it can be said that hypothesis is accepted.  Then, for skills and attitude competence, data was analyzed using chi square test. The result shows there are no significant effect of using treatment given, so that it can be said that hypothesis is not accepted on the significance level 5% and dk 1

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning models with the help of animation media on student learning outcomes on thermodynamic material and mechanical waves in class XI MAN 2 PADANG. The method used in this experiment is to use quasy experiments with random control group designs. The population in this study were students of class XI MAN 2 PADANG who were registered in the even semester 2018/2019. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique whose research results are concentrated in cognitive and psycomotor values only. After conducting this research it can be concluded that problem-based learning with the help of animation media has a good influence on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study originated from the fact that there are school students who did not pass the national exam . One of effort that does by the educational unit is additional subjects for the preparation of national exams. Based on this issue, study conducted with the aim of producing a Physics Assessment book based SKL of national exam level SMA/MA which a valid and practical . The type of research conducted Research and Development ( R&D ). The instrument used to collect data is: expert validation sheet, questionnaire of teacher responses and test trial. Validity test conducted by seven validators with the overall appearance suggests that the book is valid with an average value of 78,96. The test results in the practicality aspect, shows this highly practical book for teachers with an average value of 81,98. The results of a limited trial of exercises test are good. As results, it’s concluded that the Physics Assessment Book based SKL national exam level of SMA/MA is valid and practical.

Abstract

 Based on the observations, data from student's response shows to the nuclear physics lecture is that the nuclear physics material is an abstract material so it needs visualization in the learning. The facts found that in the learning process of nuclear physics material there is no virtual laboratory activities yet. The virtual laboratory is needed by the students in visualizing the abstract material of nuclear physics. This research is developing a student’s worksheet on the radioactivity material to support the activity of virtual laboratory applying PhET simulation. This study aims to see the advisability of validity and practicality of the student’s worksheet products developed. Research type is research and development (R & D) by applying the ADDIE model with stage analyze, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Using the research instrument with the form of validation and practicality questionnaire are obtained data of the average value of student’s worksheet validation is 91  with the category is very valid and the average value of student’s worksheet practice is 88  for lecturers and 89  for students with category very practice. The results of this study indicate that the student’s worksheet developed are valid and practical for use in supporting virtual lab activities.   Keywords : LKM, virtual laboratory , Physics Education Technology

Abstract

The problem in this research is the extent to effect of applying the generative learning model towards achivement of competence IPA student of class VIII SMPN 7 Padang. Generative learning model is designed so that students can improve conceptual understanding and critical thinking of students through interactive participation in learning activities and can increase students' motivation by involving students directly in the discovery of a concept. This research was a quasi-experimental with pretest-Posttest control group design, the two groups selected at random, and then given a pretest to determine the initial state between the experimental group and the control group. The population in this study were all students of class VIII SMPN 7 Padang enrolled in academic year 2015-2016, the sample was taken using cluster random sampling technique. Competence knowledge is measured using written tests, competency attitudes measured using observation sheet and skill competencies are measured using performance assessment rubric. Data competence of knowledge, competence, attitudes and skills competency test were analyzed using two average similarity with the real level of 0.05. Based on research data, obtained an average student learning outcomes in the experimental class competencies of knowledge, attitudes and skills higher than the control class. The results of data analysis using a third competency test the equality of two average with the real level of 0.05 indicates that th> tt, this means that there is a significant impact on the application of the model Generative Learning competency achievement grade science students SMPN 7 Padang

Abstract

Learning based on curriculum 2013 is still not applied by teachers and teachers has not yet varied the learning model used so as to impact on low learning outcomes. The study aims to determine how the implementation of the Learning Inquiry Model is assisted by the Pictorial method of Riddle with the learning outcomes of students ' physics. This type of research is a pseudo-experimental study with the design of Posttest Only Control Group Design. A knowledge aspect assessment instrument in the form of posttest and skill aspect. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistical techniques. Testing homogeneity obtained by the results that both classes have the value of GIS homogeneity to the results of learning teaching Inkuiri assisted by Pictorial method Riddle of 0.422 with significance value 0.05. So the distributed research data is normal. The hypothesis test results were obtained a probability value of 0.000 so that H0 was rejected and H1 received study of the students ' arch motion in an experimental class using the learning Inquisitors guided by the aid of a higher riddle pictorial method Compared to the control class that uses the inquiry learning model is guided. The average grade of an experiment class is 80.17 and the average value of the control class is 75.57. It can therefore be concluded that there is a significant influence on the application of learning model of the Inquisies guided by a method of pictorial riddle towards the improvement of physics competence of grade X students at SMAN 1 Sutera.

Abstract

This article based on research that title “ influence of  using student worksheets (LKS) based of direct instruction in reciprocal teaching approach  to physical competence of students in class XI of  SMA N 2 Painan”. This research based of the  problems are role of students in teaching and learning process  is not optimal yet and limitation of training facilities to thinking like student worksheets (LKS). The type of this research is quasi experimental . The populations of this research were all students  in class XI IA of SMA N 2 Painan who listed in the academic year 2013/2014. Sample of this research was selected by cluster random sampling technique and the class was selected as experimental class is XI IA2 and control class is  IA1. The instrument is used to collect data is written test for cognitive domain and observation sheet for affective domain and performance assessment form for the psychomotor domain. Data analysis techniques which used in this research ware normality, homogenity, and equality of  two average test at real level  0.05. The results of the data analysis of cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain show that there is influence of  using student worksheets (LKS) based of direct instruction in reciprocal teaching approach to physical competence of students in  class XI of SMA N 2 Painan.

Abstract

      The 2013 curriculum requires teachers to encourage students to think at a higher level and possess higher-order thinking skills known as Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). To achieve this the teacher must consciously and continuously practice using learning strategies with an orientation to training students to think at a higher level. This relates to the learning components that must be prepared by the teacher such as learning models, learning media, and teaching materials. One of the aids for students is teaching materials in the form of worksheets. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population of data in this study is the entire semester X semester I high school physics textbook used by 23 schools in West Sumatra. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was the highest school physics class X 1-semester worksheet used by schools published by two different publishers and four worksheets made by Physics teachers in the school where the worksheet was used. The data in this study were taken using LKS presentation analysis instruments and data collection techniques through documentation studies. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the Analysis conducted on the Physics Worksheets for Class X Senior High School Semester I related to the availability of HOTS components obtained the results of the analysis that LKS who obtained a percentage with the fullness of indicators on the highest HOTS component namely LKS made by high school subject teachers 12 Padang 39%. Whereas the Physics Worksheet that received a percentage of the fulfillment of indicators on the lowest HOTS component was the Worksheet published by CV Grahadi 14%.

Abstract

Kinematics is a part of physics. It discusses about motion without regard to the external forces which cause the motion. In senior high school, kinematics is divided into three of basic competency. They are straight motion, parabolic motion and circular motion. The important of part for this topic is relation graphs of several magnitudes are often presented. Kinematics graphs are often not thoroughly discussed at school. So most studets can’t analyze the graphs about straight motion and parabolic motion. To overcome this problem, a media are needed that has developed at this time. That is often used in physics learning, especially in motion. Its name is tracker. Tracker is a free video analysis application that can be downloaded using internet. This application was developed by Open Source Physics which is able to analyze the graph of movement of objects through video. Through the use of this applicatio, it is expected that there will be an increase in student learning outcomes
