Abstract

The Physics learning outcome as the standard of mastering learning concept did not reach the minimum passing standard yet. One of the causal factors is the lower rank of interest and motivation which are influenced by the teachers method in delivering Physics learning material. Therefore, the researcher applied the laboratory-based learning with Physics Kit. This research heads for observing the influence of laboratory-based learning with Physics Kit by using Contextual Teaching Learning approach to the Physics learning outcome. The type of this research is a quasi experimental research. The analysis data technique used conversion of score to value, normality test, homogeneity test, and the test of two means comparison. Based on the research outcome, the researcher analyzed the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domain data. The research outcome showed the working hypothesis, there is a significant influence of laboratory-based learning application with Physics kit by using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach to the Physics learning outcome can be accepted with alpha 0.05

Abstract

The result of physiscs learning of XI class MIPA students at MAN 2 Padang was not yet fulfilled the expectation, seen  in the student score that has not fulfilled the minimum completeness criterion (KKM) that determined. The purpose of this research is to see if there is influence of scientifically based on LKPD using discovery learning model to physics learning result. The type of research used is quasi experiment using randomized control-group only design. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Sampling of data is limited to two domains of learning result that is knowledge and skill aspect with written test instrument in the from of a multiple choice question on knowledge aspect and performance instrument by using a scoring rubric on skill aspect. The result of the analysis shows that rhe average of experimental class for the learning outcomes in the knowledge and skill aspect is higher than the class control. The result of the analysis show that the average of experimental class fot the learning outcomes is the knowledge and skills aspect is higher than the class control. It can be concluded that the use of scientific-based LKPD using discovery learning model has a significant influence on the student’s physics learning result of XI class MAN 2 Padang.

Abstract

One cause of low achievement IPA competence of learners is the lack of use of teaching materials with the essence of integrity of the material in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. As an alternative solution to overcome these problems is needed teaching materials that includes the integration of materials with integrated learning oriented. The purpose of this study to investigate the effect of the use of teaching materials handout integrated learning oriented towards achievement of competencies type of integrated science class VII students of SMPN 31 Padang. This type of research design Quasi Experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. This study population of students of class VII SMPN 31 Padang enrolled in the second semester of the school year of 2015/2016 with a random cluster sampling technique. In this study, the competence of the attitude measured using observation sheets, competency knowledge using written tests and competency skills are measured using a portfolio assessment. Based on research activities that have been implemented, the data obtained attainment of learners on three competence. The average value of achievement of competence attitudes and competence skills of the experimental class is bigger than the control class, where the average value in the attainment of knowledge of the control class higher than the experimental class. The results of data analysis research conducted at the level of 95% was concluded that there was no effect of the use of integrated learning handout oriented towards achievement of competencies type of integrated science class VII students of SMPN 31 Padang

Abstract

In the 2013 Physics Learning Curriculum is more emphasized on the Learning Process using the Process Skills approach to enhance students' Scientific Skills. based on observations in the field, it was found that the process skills had not been maximally performed. learning resources that become the main guidelines for teachers in Implementing Learning Activities are textbooks. however, the textbooks used in high schools in West Sumatra are very diverse, and it is not yet known which books can facilitate SPK. After the Survey, 4 books were used for a higher frequency, 3 of which were recommended by the government. This study aims to find out which books can facilitate the Implementation of Science Process Skills Presentation. Data was collected using an instrument analysis sheet, containing ten indicators of Science Process Skills (SPK), with 32 indicators. The instrument was validated by three experts obtained at the first expert with a score of 0.98% categorized as very valid, the second expert with a score of 0.96% categorized as very valid, and the third expert with a score of 0.85% categorized as very valid. The instrument was analyzed on the six main subjects, namely: Direct current electricity, Static electricity, Magnetic fields, Electromagnetic induction, Alternating current circuits, and Electromagnetic waves. The data collection technique used is the study of documents. Data analysis Techniques used Study content. The research results obtained that the books are used as a reference for Physics Learning in Class XII of Semester 1 High School which has the highest proportion of SPK Indicators, namely books by Writer Ketut Kamawijaya, Wawan.P with Grafindo Publishers in 2016, while books with the lowest proportion of Indicators Namely book by Author Sunardi, Paramitha Retno.P, Andreas B. Darmawan 2016.

Abstract

The students learning outcome in physics learning is low, it is caused by the learning just focused in teacher. The teacher is as prime information source and the students are passive in learning activities. The purpose of this study is determining the effect of Prezi zooming presentations of students learning outcome in class XI SMAN 12 Padang. The method in this study is Quasi Experimental with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this study is all students in class XI IPA 1 SMAN 12 Padang. The technique sampling that used is Cluster Random Sampling with class XI IPA 1 as experimental class and XI IPA 2 as control class. Data of cognitive gained from test, data of affective gained from obeservation sheet and data of psychomotor gained from score rubric. Data of cognitive analyzed by test and the significant level is 0,05. Score final of experimental class is 81,34 and score final of control class is 76,40 by using t-test, we get t count > t table

Abstract

Based on the 2019’s UNBK value in indonesia, the physics value obtained for west sumatera is 47.5, that cualified as relatively low. And the result of the analysis of two physics textbook in senior high school in Padang city  using the inquiry indicator instrument is 47% wich can be categoried as low.  So, those textbook haven’t facilitated the learning inquiry. One solution can be done by making a constructivist-based physics modules in inquiry learning. This study purposed to determine thw validity and practicality of constructivist-based physics modules in inquiry learning on the subject matter of XI senior high school classes.This reasearch type is R&D (Research and Development) by Sugiyono in consisting 10 steps. R&D research steps include potential and problems, data collection, products design, product validation, product revisions, product trials, and product revisions. This research limited to product revisions after product trials (practicality). Tests conducted to see the feasability of the modules that have been designed that is validity and practicality tests. Validity test was conducted by 3 experts (validators) who did the assesments of the six components of the validation of the module that have been designed.The practicality test was by physics teachers (3 peoples) and students of class xi IPA in Padang city Senior High School (15 peoples).The validity test consists of six components, namely the content feasibility test, the construction feasibility, the feasability of inquiry, the feasability of the language, the appearance of the module, and feasability of the constructivist, with an overall average of 82% in the very valid category. Practicality test obtained from the teachers response to the six practical indicators, namely the contents of the module, the performance of the module, the convenience of the module, benefit of the module, the presentation of the inquiry components and the construvtivist componen with an overall average of 81% in the very practical category. Whereas students responses to the six indicators of practicality with an overall average of 85% which categorized as very practical. So, constructivist-based physics modules in inquiry learning are in the very valid and very practical categories so they can be used in the learning process.

Abstract

The purpose learning in 2013 curriculum is demanding students competence holistic achievment  such us in knowledge, attitude, and also skill. it was proven by looking into 2013 curriculum which improved the balance in student’s hardskill and softskill. But, in the fact, analysis result of curriculum 2013 learning such as learning processes, learning device, and evaluation studying have not been achieved properly. The solution to these problem was the use of teaching material which integrated with spiritual intelligence in problem based model for competence achievement of grade X SMAN 16 padang students. This research used quasi experiment research which randomized control group only design. The research population sampling is grade X MIA 4 as experiment class and X MIA 5 as control class. The obtained data included spiritual attitude competence, knowledge, and skill of students. Data analysis for all data were processed by descriptive statistic, two average equations test, simple linier regresion and corelation analysis. Based on data analysis, conlude that there were significant different and impact for students achievement by using teaching material which integrated with spiritual intellegence for grade X SMAN 16 Padang, which significant value 0,05.

Abstract

This study is based on the background that in physics learning teaching materials in the form of Student’s Worksheet (LKPD) is necessary, so that learning is not inclined to the teacher-centered. In addition, the students’ competence is still low in terms of levels of cognitive processes can be improved through the use of LKPD. This study aims to produce the products such as oriented LKPD complexity of content and cognitive processes in the material vectors, also to know the quality of LKPD terms of validity and practicality. This study is the research and development using the 4D model. This model consists of 4 stages, such as define stage, design stage, develop stage, and disseminate stage. However, in this study the 4D model reduced to 3D, so the study was only done to develop stage. The subjects of the study consist of three lecturers from the Physics Department, FMIPA UNP as a validators and 2 Physics teachers SMAN 10 Padang as validators and practitioners. Data were analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative analysis. Based on the research that has been conducted, it was resulted the LKPD oriented complexity of content and cognitive processes. Product research is categorized as very valid aspects LKPD requirements, aspects of the complexity of the content in LKPD, aspects of the complexity level of cognitive processes in LKPD, and aspects of learning model components the guided inquiry in LKPD with an average values of 81.8. Product research is also categorized as very practical by teachers with average values of 84.6 from the aspect of completeness, scope, presentation, benefits, and opportunities implementation of LKPD

Abstract

In general, achievement of Physics competence of students in high school is still low. Observations result at SMAN 14 Padang, the causes is the strategy used is not fully centered on the activities of students, and the teaching materials that used have not been able to improve the thinking ability of students. This study aims to determine the Effect of Using LKPD oriented Metacognitive Strategy on Physics achievement of Student’s Competence in X Grade of SMAN 14 Padang. Research carried out included in the type of quasi experimental research (Quasi Experimental Design) with the design of Posttest Only Control Group Design. The study population is all MIPA X grade of SMAN 14 Padang in academic year 2017/2018. Samples were taken using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research instrument used is a test for knowledge competence, observation format for attitude and skill competence and completed with assessment rubric. Data on the three competencies were analyzed using t test at the real level of 0.05. Based on the result of data analysis, there were significant differences in both sample classes. The result of regression analysis shows that there is strong correlation between LKPD oriented metacognitive strategy to knowledge and skill competence. The result of product moment correlation analysis showed 55% value for knowledge competence and 33.54% for skill competence. So it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the use of LKPD oriented metacognitive strategies to the achievement of the competence of students in X grade of SMAN 14 Padang.

Abstract

Learning model that is less engaging students in the learning process and the low reading interest of students make the learning process runs less effective. It is characterized by student learning outcomes that are lower than the expected maximum graduation criteria. To overcome these problems, the use of media images on brochures learning model applied in problem based learning. The Type of this research is quasi experiment  with design is randomized control group only. Population of this research is all class XI MIA  who registered in the 1st half 2014/2015 academic year. Samples were taken at random cluster sampling technique. The research instrument are the ultimate test for cognitive, observation format, self assessment sheet and peer assessment sheet for affective domain of learning outcomes, and performance assessment rubric and portofolio assessment sheet for psychomotor learning outcomes. The results showed that the average outcomes of learning physics class experiment better than the control class for the third domain of the real level of 0.05. This indicates that the picture effectively used to improve student learning outcomes physics
