Abstract

This research motivated by the process of science learning that less attention to ensure the individual differences and learning styles of students, so the potential of the indiviual can’t develop optimally. The learning science includes the science process skills such as observing (visual activity), problem solving (intellectual activity), do the experiment (somatic activity), communicate and asking questions (auditory activity). The students will be remember and understand about the concepts if the teacher involved the students to do the experiment. The teacher can apply student-centered learning approach to convey the material through the explanation, using demonstrations and provide an opportunity to show the performance of the students directly. The approach is known as SAVI approach. This research is include Quasi Experiment. The design of this study is Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this research is all the VIII grade students at Junior High School 1 Padang in 2013/2014. The sample was selected by purposive sampling technique. The data of this research is the achievement of competence that include  3 aspects using assessment techniques such as tests for cognitive aspects (form of a written test questions objective) is performed at the end of the study and a non-test for affective and psychomotor aspects (observation sheet). The data analyzed was done by using equality test of two average which use t-test. Based on the analysis of the data, there is a significant impact on the achievement of student competencies SAVI approach to learning by using the experimental method with the real level of 5%

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Guided Inquiry Worksheets in Physics Learning. The method used was a meta-analysis that summarizes and analyzes research results that have been published nationally and internationally relating to the guided inquiry student worksheet towards learning Physics. The analysis sample was twenty journals published in the 2013-2020 range. Writing instruments in the form of coding sheets that summarize data and journal information. The results of this study are the guided inquiry LKS which is seen from the second level of effective education which is almost the same, namely 0.72 at the high school level and 0.73 at the high school vocational education level. Seen from the learning material, guided inquiry LKS is more effective on straight motion material, static fluid and vibration & sound waves with a high category. Judging from the dependent variable used, the effectiveness value with a high category is found in literacy skills, higher order thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This can be concluded that the inquiry LKS guided in physics learning is effectively used in the learning process.

Abstract

Learning the nested models combined with the scientific approach can be used to integrate student learning skills and enhance learning experiences. Das Sein shows that the integration of science materials in the books used in schools is still separate, the scientific approach is incomplete, and the learning outcomes of students have not yet reached the value of the science standard. The solution to this problem is to apply the Integrated Science Text Book Based on Nested Models with Character Values Themes of the Movement of Living Creatures. This research aims to investigate the differences in student learning outcomes and the relationship of Integrated Science Textbooks in the Scientific Approach to Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of SMPN 13 Padang. The type of research conducted is quasi-experimental research with research design Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this result were all class VIII students of SMPN 13 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 Academic Year. Sampling in the result was conducted by combining purposive sampling technique and cluster random sampling. The research instrument consisted of the posttest sheet, eksperiment evaluation sheet, and student attitude observation sheet. The data in this result were analyzed using descriptive analysis, two mean similarity tests, simple linear regression, and correlation tests at the 0.05 significance level for all student competencies. The results of the study concluded that there were significant differences in student learning outcomes between students using Character Value Integrated Science textbooks with students using School Books and there was a significant relationship between the application of Character Value Integrated Integrated Science Textbooks to student learning outcomes for all aspects of learning outcomes. In the similarity test the two average states there are differences in learning outcomes for all aspects of student competence. In the product moment correlation test expressed the level of moderate and very strong relationships. In the test of correlation significance there is a significant relationship. The calculation of the determination coefficient obtained the percentage contribution of Character Value Integrated IPA Text Books for attitude aspects of 16.74%, knowledge aspects of 16.893%, and skills aspects of 67.16%.

Abstract

Experiments simulation product made by using Adobe Flash CS 3 Professional software in order that students can understanding of physics concept. This product is intended to analyze the phenomena and symptom  that occur in a real experiment. The aims of this research is to produce a valid, practical and effective of an experiments simulation. This research including Research and Development (R & D) type and the instrument of research used pieces of the validation by experts, teachers and student response sheets as sheet practicalities, and learning outcomes assessment sheets. Based on the data analysis obtained average value product validation is 4.05 which suggests that experiments simulation have high validity. The average value of the result data analysis of practicalities is 85,5% meaning attempts simulations are practice. The test results obtained from the sheet effectiveness of student learning outcomes before and after the study showed an increase in student learning outcomes, experiments simulation effectively used in teaching physics in Senior High School grade XII. Abstract

There are some things that cause low learning outcomes of students. Firstly, students are less involved in the learning process. Secondly, teachers are unable to accommodate all the needs of students. Thirdly, students are less interested in reading materials related to physics. The aims of this work is to determine the effect of the implementation of guided inquiry learning model using brochure on the results of physics learning class VIII on light material and optical devices. This research is a quasi-experimental design with randomized control group only design. The population was all 8th grade students in SMP Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP, academic year 2016/2017. The purposive sampling with cluster random sampling technique was used. The reseaarch instruments used in this study are result of final test to measure knowledge aspect, and perfomance assesment sheet to measure skill aspect. Data are analyzed by testing the equality of two average. The equality testing are done to both of aspects, knowledge and skill. The result showed the average value of learner at both classes are 85.16 and 78.28 for knowledge aspect, 85.46 and 80.56 for skill aspect. By t test, for both aspects, we got that t>ttable, it means the alternative hypothesis is accepted. By the descriptive data, we got that there are a significant influence from the model implementation.. We conclude that the guided inquiry learning model using brochures has a significant effect on the results of physics studies on lightweight and optical devices in the SMP Development Laboratory UNP.

Abstract

The 21st century is known as the knowledge era. This era challenges students have various abilities. The government has answered this challenge by improving the quality of education through revising the 2006 curriculum become the 2013 curriculum. In the 2013 curriculum was applied integrated science teaching to improve competence of students. Another government effort was to encourage the school literacy program. But the real condition of the schools showed that knowledge aspect of students was still quite sufficient. One solution to solve this problem was to apply of integrated science worksheet by integrating the scientific literacy in teaching. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of the application of science student worksheet on the theme of the use of pressure by integrating scientific literacy on the competencies of grade VIII students in SMPN 31 Padang. The type of research which used was a quasi-experimental design with group Randomized Posttest-Only Control Grup Design. The sampling technique which used was purposive sampling and cluster random sampling. The population of this research was all grade VIII students of SMPN 31 Padang. The sample class consists of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. Class VIII.3 was used as the experimental class and class VIII.4 was used as the control class. The instruments which used in the data collection were written test sheet for knowledge aspect, observation sheet for attitude aspect, and performance assessment sheet for the skills aspect of competencies. The research data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and a comparison of two means test. The result of hypothesis testing indicated that there was a significant difference between the competencies of students who use integrated science student worksheet with students didn’t use it. The result of this test indicated that integrated science worksheet has a significant effect on competencies of students, including aspects of knowledge, skills, attitudes on grade VIII in SMPN 31 Padang with 95% confidence level. Therefore, integrated science worksheet by integrating scientific literacy can be implemented for science teachers and students in science teaching.

Abstract

In this research, background of the problems are students’ low in scores and lack of motivation in increasing their thinking ability because teaching learning process is more dominated by the teacher. An inappropriate strategy in teaching learning process makes students become lack of interaction that leads them to find out physics concepts during teaching learning process. This study aims to investigate Effect of Strategi Pembelajaran Peningkatan kemampuan Berpikir (SPPKB) by using LKS toward Physics’ Learning Outcomes.Type of this research is Quasi-Experimental Research.  Randomized Only Control Group Design is used in this research. The populations of the research are all tenth grade students in SMAN 2 Pariaman registered in the academic year 2013/2014. Cluster random sampling technique is used to take the sample. The sample of the research is X1 class consisted of 31 students and X2 class consisted of 33 students. Variables consisted of the independent variables with the application of SPPKB by using LKS. Dependent variable is the students’ learning outcomes, and control variables are the teacher, materials and the allocated time that is given for both of them are similar. Procedure of the research consists of preparation, implementation, and conclusion. Technique of data collection is through a written test for the cognitive, affective aspect and observation for psychomotor aspect. Technique of data analysis is by using the hypothesis test of equality of two average tests by using t-Test at real level 0.05 for the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspect. The hypotheses of the test is about the equality of two test average two-party testing criteria; accept Ho if {-t (1-1/2 α) <t <t (1-1/2 α)}. The score of T tabel for each aspect is 2.00. t hitung for cognitive aspect is 4.06, then t hitung > t table (4.06> 2.00); t hitung for affective aspect is 2.29 so that t hitung> t table (2.29> 2.00); t hitung for psychomotor aspect is -2.54 then t hitung < t table (-2.54 <2,00). The results of these three aspects are in the rejection area of Ho, so that there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class. So, it happens because of the effect of SPPKB by using LKS on temperature and heat lesson in learning outcomes of students in physics. So,it can conclude that hypothesis of “that effect of SPPKB by using LKS on the temperature ans heat lesson in study physics in class X SMAN 2 Pariaman” can be accept at the real level 0,05. Abstract

The 2013 curriculum is designed in order that the students have all competencies, which include spiritual competency, social attitude, knowledge, and skill. Social competency is an important competency to be developed in learning the physics materials. In the process of learning physics, it is required learning materials contain social intelligence values. However, learning materials at schools have not put the values of social intelligence based on the 2013 curriculum. This study aims at producing physics teaching materials with content of social intelligence on parabolic motion, circular motion and Newton's law. The type of research is research and development (R & D). The object of this study is teaching materials with the content of social intelligence in physics learning in grade X high school students. These research and development steps consist of ten steps. However, in this research was limited to the sixth step that is until the trial of the product. The instrument used are validity test sheet and effectiveness test sheet. Based on data analysis, there are two conclusions obtained. First, the teaching materials of physics with contents of social intelligence values developed in accordance with the structure of teaching materials and have a high value. Based on the value given by the validator obtained an average of 85.5 with very high category. Second, teaching materials of physics with the content of social intelligence values developed effective used in the study physics. This can be seen from the increased aspects of knowledge after using the teaching materials of physics with the content of social intelligence values.

Abstract

Low achievement of student's competencies are caused by lack of motivation and lack of problem-solving abilities of students. The effort that can be done is using geothermal energy integrated Student Worksheet for IDEAL Problem Solving learning model. The integration of geothermal energy as a real problem in lives of students is expected to increase the competencies of physics and foster energy thrift attitude in students. Solve the problems in Student Worksheet using IDEAL step Problem Solving also expected to enhance student's problem-solving abilities. The purpose of research is to investigate whether there is influence and the contribution of Student Worksheet integrated geothermal energy to the achievement of student competencies and investigate whether there is any significant impact on the achievement IDEAL problem solving competence of students' knowledge. This type of research is a quasi experimental. Design of research is randomized control group only design. The population of research is all student of grade XI MIA in the first semester of the 2015/2016 academic year. The results showed there were differences in average significant in both samples to the third-class competence. With correlation obtained contributions Student Worksheet integrated geothermal energy in the amount of 36.40% in the competence of knowledge, 60.58% on the competence of attitude, and 54.78% on competency of skills. Furthermore, the average value of the control class physics learning outcomes before and after using the model IDEAL Problem Solving also shows the average difference was significant. Based on this it can be concluded that there are significant integration and contribution of geothermal energy to the achievement of competencies of physics and there are significant problems IDEAL use soving towards the attainment of knowledge of students

Abstract

Communication skill, collaboration, critical thinking is a demand in education of this 21th century, because these skills are needed by student to compote against global competition, so that the education is a top priority in realizing high-skilled students. In order to have these skills, teacher can use learning models that support students in achieving 4C skills that are assisted by a learning device. It is not easy to achieve these skills, especially in learning physics. Student could only understand the formula but their ability in the process of problem solving and determining the use of formula appropriately was still low. This was because students were still fixated on the sample questions which was given by the teacher. Researcher are interested in creating a product based on problem solving syntaxes in which each syntax integrates4C skills. This study aims to produce a valid and practical worksheet to use. The type of research used in this study is the type of research and development (R&D). This study was validated. Based on the research that has been done, the resulting product is a problem solving based worksheet to achieve 4C skills in the heat temperature material and the kinetic theory of gas class XI SMA / MA. The products that have been made are validated by experts. The results obtained from the assessment, the product has an average value of validity of 87,2% with a very valid, This shows that LKS is feasible to be used in the learning process. So that it can help and make it easier for the teachers in achieving the demands of 21st-century education.
