Abstract

                Indonesia is prone to landslides. Analysis of the level of suitability of high school physics material with landslide material is important because not all physics material can be integrated with landslide material. Until now, it is not known the level of conformity of high school physics material with landslide material for at least one semester. This study aims to determine the level of suitability of high school physics material with landslide material. This type of research is a descriptive research and uses a qualitative approach. The population used is all material which is a field of physics study and the sample is Physics material for SMA/MA curriculum 2013. The instrument of this research is an analysis sheet of the suitability of Physics material with Landslide material in the form of tables and data collection techniques through documentation studies. The results showed that the physics material for class X semester 1 was in the very appropriate category and semester 2 was in the very appropriate category, the physics material for class XI semester 1 was in the quite appropriate category, the physics material for class XI semester 2 was in the very appropriate category, physics material for class XI semester 2 was in the very appropriate category. class XII semester 1 and semester 2 are in the inappropriate category. This research implies that physics material with a very suitable category to be integrated with landslide material is easy to develop into a physics book integrated with landslide material.

Abstract

Learning in process standard asks learning material. In fact, the use of learning materials is notoptimal yet. A solution to solve this problem is using learning material oriented problem solving method.This research aims to investigate the effect of using teaching material oriented problem solving method inimplementation of process standard toward students’ learning outcomes in SMAN 7 Padang. Type of thisresearch is Quasi Experimental Research which is designed by using Randomized Control Group OnlyDesign. The population in this research consisted of 4 classes from XI IPA 3 to XI IPA 6 in SMAN 7Padang. The technique used to take the sample is purposive sampling. The sample of the research is gradeXI IPA 5 as experimental class and XI IPA 6 as control class. The technique of data collection are writtentest for cognitive aspect and observation sheet for affective and psychomotor aspect. The technique of dataanalysis is done in hypothesis test through t-Test in real level 0,05 for cognitive, affective, and psychomotoraspect. The results obtained from this research as follows: first, the students’ score for each aspects is 76,182in cognitive, 81, 333 in affective, and 78, 182 in psychomotor. The result of students score is above KKMthat is standardized by the school 75. Second, physics learning material oriented problem solving method isnot very influential to increase students’ score in cognitive aspect but it has been influence in affective andpsychomotor aspect.Keywords: Learning Material, Problem Solving Method, Process Standard, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The motivation of learners can be enhanced through contextual and meaningful learning by integrating real problems that exist in the surrounding environment into teaching materials of learners, such as earthquake waves. The purpose of this research is to investigate the difference, influence and contribution of LKPD integrated material of earthquake wave to the competence of learners in CPS type simplex model on wave material in class XI SMA N 2 Padang. This type of research is quasi experiment with randomized control group design only design. The study population is all students of class XI MIPA SMA N 2 Padang. Sampling of research using technique of Purposive sampling. The research data is the data of students learning outcomes knowledge competence, attitudes and skills and the value of integrated LKPD earthquake waves. In order to know the difference of competence of the students, there are two equality test (t test), while to know the influence and contribution of LKPD to the competence of the learner, the regression and correlation test is done on the real level of 0,05 for all the competence.The results of the research through correlation test obtained the value of knowledge rs 0,78, attitude 0,62 and skill 0.73. LKPD's contribution to the knowledge aspect is very strong, with a contribution percentage of 60.49%. LKPD contribution to attitude aspect is strong, with contribution percentage equal to 38,73%. LKPD's contribution to skills aspect is strong, with a contribution percentage of 53.03%.

Abstract

Thinking critically is needed in solving problem or finding solution. The background of this research is still lack students worksheet that can develop the ability of the student’s critical thinking. Scientific approach can help the students to build the knowledge through this scientific method. The solution to solve this problem is use a worksheet that can practice the ability of a student’s thinking. The purpose of this research is to observe the effect of application worksheet nuanced critical thinking skill in scientific approach to the learning outcomes of Physics students grade X at SMAN 2 Padang. The population of this research is all students Xth grade at SMAN 2 Padang in academic year 2015/2016. Sampling by purposive sampling technique. Data of this research includes student learning outcomes in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Research instrument are written test, evaluation sheets and sheet performance attitude. Based on the analysis data obtained on average student learning outcomes of experiments class on the cognitive, affective and psychomotor is 80,49; 78.71; and 79.29. The result of this research that there is a significant influence of the application worksheet nuanced critical thinking skill in scientific approach to the learning outcomes of Physics students grade X at SMAN 2 Padang

Abstract

The purposeeof thissstudy was to determineethe level of validity of theworksheet that has been systematically and precisely made. Based on observations at SMAN 8 Padang, the level of concepts mastery and students learning outcomes in Physics were not optimal. The result midterm of physics at SMAN 8 Padang which was generally less than the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The low student learning outcomes in learning were caused by several factors, firstly the implementation of physics learning has not been carried out by both according to the demands of the 2013 curriculum. According to the teacher, the demands of the 2013 curriculum are too many, including the usingof  models, media, and learning assessments. Then Learning resources used in schools are textbooks and students whorsheet, but the students whorksheet( LKS) were not made by teacher. The worksheet used was not were HOTS-oriented yet. While HOTS-oriented questions are very important to train students' high-level thinking skills. After perfecting the product, the validation results obtained an average value of 91.95%. Overall, instructional materials designed are in the valid categories so that they are appropriate for students to use for learning.

Abstract

Handout based on the model STM (Science Technology Society) can facilitate students to understand the physics material and apply the concept of physics in everyday life. The general objective of this research is to produce handout based on the model STM (Science Technology Society) is a valid, practical and effective for substance and phase change topic in grade VII junior high school. The research conducted is a Research and Development (R & D). Data collection instruments were: sheet of validation experts, practicality test sheet by physics teacher, practicality test sheets by students, and the test results in cognitive domain. The results of research are: 1) a valid handout based on the model STM (Science Technology Society) with validity value about 89,59; 2) practicality handout by teacher value about 89,6; 3) practicality handout by student responses value about 88,5 and 4) handout is effective to improve learning physics of outcome of students

Abstract

This research is motivated by the demands of Curriculum 2013 on the four dimensions of knowledge taught in physics learning. At the Curriculum 2013 known metacognitive knowledge includes factual knowledge, conceptual knowledge and procedural knowledge. Metacognitive is the ability of students to control cognitive aspects. From the results of previous research, metacognitive knowledge of students is the lowest than the other three knowledges. Based on observation and interview in the school, the achievement of competence of students is still low, one of the causes is not much effort by teachers to develop metacognitive of students. Efforts to develop metacognitive of students can be done with metacognitive strategies. Learning that involves metacognitive is important to improve thinking ability and ability to solve the problems of students. One solution is to develop LKPD (worksheet student) oriented metacognitive strategy. The purpose of this research is to produce LKPD which is can to be used in physic learning, so that it is hoped that the competence of student can be achieved.Research conducted is research and development (R&D) using ADDIE development model that is reduced to the analysis, design and development. The research subjects consisted of three experts as a validator, physics lecturer FMIPA UNP, and two physics teachers to test the practicality of LKPD and one class X MIPA 4 SMA Adabiah Padang as practitioners to give response to LKPD.The result of research shows that LKPD oriented metacognitive strategy is in very valid category by experts with validity value 85,1%, and very practical according to teacher with practicality value 85,4% and is in practical category according to students with value 79,9%.

Abstract

Problem-solving competence of students in the competence of knowledge attitudes and skills in learning physics is not optimal. This is because the learners beloum understand and less interested in learning. besides learning the physics itself is too monotonous and lacking in appeal. thus, this research using model Scaffolding problem solving. Problem-solving skills can be improved through the use of learning problem solving. One of them Scaffolding Problem Solving. This type of quasi sampel research with the study design one shot case study. the entire study population of learners class XI SMAN 1 lubuk alung. sample taken by cluster sampling; so the result XI mia 2 was selected as the study sample class that has 33 students. This is a research instrument in the form of an essay writing test for competency knowledge. observation sheets, self-assessment and peer assessment to the competence of the scoring rubric for the attitude and competence skils. Data analysis using the test at level 3 competition. hasil 0.05 significantly all the research shows that using scaffolding model of problem solving there is a significant contribution to the competency learners

Abstract

2013 curriculum revision in 2017 emphasizes the important subjects such as Strengthening Character Education (PPK), 4C skills (communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity), Literacy, and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Based on observations conducted found that the implementation of the curriculum according to the demands of learning physics 2013 revision in 2017 is still lacking. Problems found included the lack of ability of the students in learning. Which gained the ability of students are 40% of Lower Order Thinkung Skiils (LOTS), 38% of Middle Order Thinking Skills (MOTS), and 20% of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Besides, learning and teaching materials were available yet supportive learning HOTS oriented. Therefore, to improve the student’s HOTS in Physics, a resource-oriented HOTS is needed and developed, where the materials consist HOTS indicators and levels of Bloom's taxonomy revision Anderson, for HOTS category, student worksheet which is developed in this study also used guided inquiry learning model. This model was chosen because it is one of the learning models that can support the achievement of HOTS in learning. This study belongs to the type of R&D (Research and Development) by using Borg and Gall models. The research procedure consisted of potential problems, data collection, product design, design validation, the revised design, product testing, product revision, utility testing, product revision, and bulk products. The instrument used is validation sheets. This study is limited to the stages of product trials and product revision. Product trials conducted are limited trials. The validity of the product carried out by three expert. Based on the data, the validity of the results obtained by the experts with an average of 84.62% with a category that is very valid. Overall, HOTS oriented student worksheets in guided inquiry model are in the category of very valid. So,it can be used  in the process of learning physics to see it’s practicality and effectiveness.

Abstract

This research based of the a problem in teaching and learning proses with not apparent invisibility of interest in students to learn science. Based on these problems, resulting in student's learning outcomes is not maximized. By those reasons student worksheets oriented Science Technology Society (STM) is one of the learning materials that are considered effective to overcome these problems.Type of research is quasi- experimental research design. The population of this research is class XI of science program SMAN 1 Solok enrolled in the academic year 2013/2014. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument is the final test for cognitive learning outcomes, observation format for affective learning outcomes, rubric scoring for the psychomotor domain of learning outcomes.  Data obtained from the research were analyzed using  tes t to cognitive test and two average similarity to the affective and psychomotor domains. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of using student worksheets  oriented STM by integrating the value of character the ability of the student in the cognitive, affective , and psychomotor domains at the 95 % significance level
