Abstract

This research is motivated by physics learning which is still centered on the teacher and the limited of teaching materials that can be used by students so that students have difficulty in understanding the subject matter. Physics learning requires students to search, experience, explore, and discover for themselves. The purpose of this research is to produce physics teaching materials through a valid nuanced boon constructivism approach and to find out the validity of physics teaching materials through a nuanced boon constructivism approach. Research conducted includes the steps of research and development according to Sugiyono. The stages carried out in this study, that is:1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validatian, 5) design revision. The feasibility test was conducted in the form of a validity test by three physics lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and natural science of Padang State University and Three teachers from different schools, which is State High School four of Pariaman, State High School one of  Nan Sabaris, and State High School two of Batang Anai. Data collection was performed using a validity instrument which was then analyzed using a Likert scale. Based on research that has been done, produced products in the form of teaching material through a nuanced boon constructivism approach on Newton’s law of gravity and  impulse momentum. The product that has been made is rated highly valid from several components of content worthiness, linguistic component, presentation component and grapich component with a percentage of the average value obtained which is 83,5. This teaching material can later be carried out practicality test and effectiveness tests that will be developed by future researchers so that they can be used in learning activities.

Abstract

The low of student’s achievement for physics learning in SMAN 15 Padang is caused by the lack of student activity in learning process. Constructivism is an approach which points the importance of building knowledge for student by participating actively in learning process. The using of teaching material such as student's worksheet in learning process can be support the learning activity. Student’s worksheet can direct the mindset and create student's independence in learning and finding knowledge. Therefore, a research has been implemented which aim is to know the influence of student’s construtivisme worksheet in creative productive learning towards to students physics learning outcome grade X SMAN 15 Padang. The population of quasi experiment research which design randomized control group only design are all of class X SMA Negeri 15 Padang that is registered in academic years 2013/2014. The technique of selecting sample is Cluster Random Sampling. Research shown that there is an influence of student’s construtivisme worksheet in creative productive learning towards to students physics learning outcome grade X SMAN 15 Padang quantitatively on significant level 0.05. So that the using of student’s construtivisme worksheet in creative productive learning can increase student’s learning outcome in kognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspecits

Abstract

This research is motivated by a change in curriculum by the progress of education from time to time. One of the facilities in curriculum is a textbook. In the lesson textbooks used must contain the required curriculum structure such as excellence potential, local wisdom and  regional needs. One form of local wisdom and regional needs, namely knowledge or understanding of disasters that can be understood through textbooks. Suitable subjects to be integrated with disaster material are IPA. Where, Indonesia is a tropical country that is prone to disasters such as threat of lightning. Science subjects are one subjects that is very suitable to be integrated with knowledge about lightning. This study aims to determine the level of suitability of the science material with the curriculum objectives in science lesson textbooks for SMP/MTs class IX semester 1 and to determine the suitability of the science material in the science textbook of  SMP/MTs class IX semester 1 with lightning material. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population of the data in this study is all grade IX textbooks for SMP/MTs in semester 1 from various publishers in Indonesia and the data samples in this study are class IX books of semester 1 published by publisher 1 and publisher 2. The research data was taken using research instruments with data collection techniques through documentation studies. The results of the study showed that the level of suitability of the Science material with the curriculum objectives in the science grade textbooks of grade IX SMP/MTs semester 1 from publisher 1 with the appropriate criteria (82,294%). Whereas in the subject textbooks publisher 2 with sufficient criteria (72%). Then the level of suitability of the Natural Science material in the grade IX textbooks for SMP/MTs in semester 1 with lightning material for Chapter 1is not appropriate, Chapter 2 is not appropriate, Chapter 3 is not appropriate, Chapter 4 is not appropriate and Chapter 2 is appropriate.

Abstract

Physics subject in learning need to be supported with learning materials to help students understanding the physics concept. Currently, the use of teaching materials using IT to support physics learning is limited. Alternative solution of this problem is a video-based physics learning materials using sparkol videoscribe. This study aims to produce product such as video-based physics learning materials on the subject matter of geometry optics and optical instruments that valid and practical.Types of this research is research and development (R&D). This method consists of 10 steps according to Sugiyono (2012:409), that are the potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, product testing, product revision, user testing, product revision, and mass production. However, the study was only conducted until the seventh step. The object of research is a video-based physics learning materials using sparkol videoscribe that validated by 5 validator, and 3 teachers and 10 students to practicalities. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques.Based on research that has been done, product of video-based physics learning materials using sparkol videoscribe is categorized valid from the aspects of material substance, appearance visual communication, instructional design, and the use of software with an average value of 87.55%. Product research is also considered practical by teachers from the content aspect of teaching materials, ease of use, efficiency of learning time, and benefits with an average value of 84.83% and practical as well as categorized by students with an average value of 87,08%

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of inquiry based learning models in physics learning. The effect of applying the IBL model will be investigated from the results of previous studies. This research uses meta-analysis. Meta analysis is the study of a number of research results in the same problem. In this study, the analyzed documents are written about the effect of applying the IBL model in learning Physics. The written documents used were 10 research journal articles taken in accordance with the objectives based on the research theme. The main instrument of this research can help to guide the research documentation itself. Analysis of the data used is qualitative data analysis in the form of narrative from the studies found. The results showed that the application of the IBL model in Physics learning had different effects. The effects of applying the IBL model include understanding Physics concepts, scientific literacy, logical thinking abilities, learning outcomes, creativity, scientific attitudes, critical thinking skills, creative thinking abilities and can reduce misconceptions among students in learning Physics. Therefore, the IBL model can be used as one of the choices of educators to obtain better learning outcomes and the full ability of the students themselves.

Abstract

This research based  on less students learning outcome on physics at school. One of the solution for this problem is through LKS application that oriented by Strategi Pembelajaran Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir (SPPKB). The purpose of this research is to observe the influence of LKS application that oriented by Strategi Pembelajaran Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir (SPPKB) to students learning outcome on physics in grade X of SMAN 8 Padang. The type of this research is quansi experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this research is grade X students of SMAN 8 Padang by using purposive sampling technique to take sample, where is X6 class as the experiment class and X8class as the control class. The data of this research is the learning outcome of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The research instrument are objective test to the learning outcome of cognitive aspect, observation sheet to the learning outcome of affective aspect, and scoring rubric to the learning outcome of psychomotor aspect. The conclusion that can be take from the result of this research is there the influence of LKS application that oriented by Strategi Pembelajaran Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir (SPPKB) in students learning outcome on physics in grade X of SMAN 8 Padang in significant level 0,05

Abstract

This study aims to create a valid and practical CTL-charged module and environmental literacy used as a source of physics learning for high school class XI for kinetic theory and gas thermodynamics. The research objective is achieved by applying the development research model based on Sugiyono's design. Sugiyono's development design used consisted of seven stages of research. The validity test was conducted at the physics laboratory of UNP and the practicality test was conducted at SMAN 14 Padang. The instrument of validity was a questionnaire consisting of six aspects of assessment which were developed into 26 indicators and translated into 57 items of assessment. Practicality instruments for teachers and students contain four aspects of assessment consisting of 14 indicators and broken down into 37 points of assessment. The results of the validity test by three expert lecturers who gave an average value of 87.15 determined that the development module was valid with a very good level of validity. The results of practicality tests by teachers and students with an average value of 96.26 and 89.18. Based on the average value of practicality according to the teacher and student module development results can be said to be practical with a very good level of practicality. This shows that the module of practical development is used as a source of physics learning for class XI high school. Referring to the results of the validity and practicality tests that have been carried out it can be concluded that the resulting development module is suitable for use as a learning resource.

Abstract

Result learn of student interest of SMA N 1 Ranah Batahan not yet is matching with the one which expected. This matter seen at result learns of student interest most not yet reached KKM. This Research aims to investigate the influence of usage of physics handout base on thinking aloud pair problem solving to result learn of class student interest of XI SMA N 1 Ranah Batahan Pasaman Barat. This Type Research is experiment quasi designed by the research of design only group control randomized. Technique intake of the sample the used is sampling purposive because gone to the teacher in school only teaching two class that is a class so that both classes assumed homogeneous and normal to be is up to the standard of the sample which is representative. The interest which is evaluated in this research is attitude, knowledge, and skill domain. Domain attitude instrument the used is observation sheet, knowledge domain instrument use problem in form of a double helix, and skill domain instrument use score rubric. The result of obtained by data analysis is research having taken steps indicate that mean assess higher experiment class from at class control at attitude and skill domain. While at domain knowledge of higher control class. So that can be concluded that there is influence meaning usage of physics handout base on thinking aloud pair problem solving to result learn of class student interest of XI SMA N 1 Ranah Batahan Pasaman Barat at attitude and skill domain.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the poor quality of the competence of  physics students in high school caused by various factors, including the existence of teaching materials are applied educators. Students worksheet (LKPD) is one form of teaching materials. The purpose of this study was to find the effect of application LKPD based on dimension of knowledge and cognitive processes in Problem Based Learning (PBL) toward the competence of physics students at grade X SMAN 7 Padang. The type of research was a quasi experiment research with randomized control group only design. The population was all students at grade X MIA SMAN 7 Padang who were registered in the 2016/2017. The technique sampling was purposive sampling. The data of research are aspects of attitude acquired through observation sheets, aspects of the knowledge acquired through achievement test, and aspects of the skills acquired through the sheet performance. Materials physics involved in this study about the uniform circular motion and dynamic of objects motion. To find the effect of application LKPD done by statistical t-test, followed by a simple linear regression analysis and test product moment correlation to the variables of the study. Based on data analysis competence of physics students in aspects of attitudes, knowledge, and skills of the experimental class respectively 81.79, 83.3, and 81.74 is higher than the control class is 78.85, 78.62, and 78.30. T test results that there is a significant difference between the competence of physics students learners using LKPD based on dimension of knowledge and cognitive processes compared to those without. From the results of data analysis with a significance level of 0.05 was obtained effect of application LKPD based on dimension of knowledge and cognitive processes in the aspect of attitudes, knowledge, and skills, respectively for 13.88%, 33.27% and 14.49%.

Abstract

There is a tendency for students to gain lack of competences. One of the factors is the minimum sources for students to study on the demand of 2013 curriculum. Therefore LKPD based on GI with mind map method is created in order to motivate students to be active in improving their competences. This study aims to investigate the differences and effects of LKPD based on GI with mind map method towards the competences of science class students of VIII SMPN 31 Padang in the aspects of knowledge, attitude, and skill. This was a quasi experiment research with randomized control group only design. The population were all of the students of VIII SMPN 31 Padang in the academic year of 2016/2017. This research used purposive sampling. Class VIII 6 was the experiment class while class VIII 7 was the control class. Data of the study included the competences of knowledge, attitude, and skill. Instruments of the study were a final test of knowledge competence, observation sheet of attitude competence, and scoring rubic of skill competence. T test was used to analyze the differences of students’ competences, linear regression was used to analyze the effects, and correlation test with r 0.5 for all competences. At the end of the study, it was an urgent to find out one of the ways to improve the students’ competences of knowledge, attitude, and skill.
