Abstract

This study examines the elements of change in the 2013 Curriculum and its impact on the development of the Islamic Education curriculum at Madrasah Tsanawiyah YPI in Batang Kuis District. The 2013 Curriculum introduced a significant shift in the Indonesian education system by emphasizing a balanced development of knowledge, skills, and character rooted in spiritual and social values. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach to provide an in-depth understanding of these changes. Data were collected through document analysis of official curriculum guidelines, books, scientific articles, and previous studies, as well as in-depth interviews with teachers and administrators at the madrasah. The findings show that changes in graduation standards, content, processes, and assessments have encouraged the implementation of contextual and value-based learning approaches, such as integrating religious practices, scientific learning methods, and comprehensive assessment strategies. However, several challenges remain, including limited teacher understanding of the curriculum framework, insufficient resources, heavy administrative workloads, and difficulties in assessing affective competencies objectively. These obstacles affect the effectiveness of curriculum implementation at the madrasah level. The study highlights the importance of ongoing professional development for teachers, improved infrastructure, and collaborative involvement of educators, parents, and policymakers to ensure that the goals of the 2013 Curriculum are fully realized. The findings provide valuable insights for enhancing Islamic Education curriculum development in response to current educational demands.

Abstract

The development of an Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum in MIS FAUZAN AL ISLAMIYAH is a crucial aspect in shaping the character and morals of students. This article aims to identify the main components and their respective functions in the PAI curriculum development process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method that focuses on literature related to curriculum theory and PAI implementation in MIS FAUZAN AL ISLAMIYAH. The results of the study indicate that five main components in PAI curriculum development include learning objectives, teaching materials, learning strategies, evaluation, and the learning environment. Each component has interconnected functions in forming an effective curriculum system. Learning objectives serve as a direction for achieving students' religious competencies, teaching materials as the content delivered, strategies as the delivery method, evaluation as a tool for measuring results, and the learning environment as a supporter of the process of Islamic character formation. With a comprehensive understanding of the functions and interrelationships between components, PAI curriculum development in MIS FAUZAN AL ISLAMIYAH can be directed in a more structured manner and in accordance with Islamic values and the demands of the times.

Abstract

The development of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum at the Vocational Tahfidz Institute is an important aspect in shaping the character and morals of students. This article aims to explore various approaches in the development of the PAI curriculum at the Vocational Tahfidz Institute. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method focusing on literature related to curriculum theory and PAI implementation at the Vocational Tahfidz Institute. The research findings indicate that there are four approaches that can be applied in the curriculum development process, namely: Academic Subject Approach, Humanistic, Technological and Social Reconstruction, Integration-based, Contextual and Spiritual. Furthermore, the development of the Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum can be carried out by internalizing and injecting Islamic values into various subjects within an educational institution. Therefore, a comprehensive and integrated approach is truly necessary to maximize the capacity and capability of students.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of lifestyle and digital marketing on the Facebook platform on purchasing decisions in the used car buying and selling business in Lampung. This study uses a quantitative method by collecting data through questionnaires distributed online to 130 respondents who have made decisions to purchase used cars. The lifestyle variable is measured through indicators of activities, interests, and opinions, while digital marketing is measured through accessibility, interactivity, entertainment, credibility, irritation, and information. Purchasing decisions are measured using indicators such as product conviction, purchasing habits, recommending to others, and repeat orders. Data analysis using multiple linear regression shows that both lifestyle and digital marketing significantly influence purchasing decisions. The results of the t-test and F-test reinforce these findings with significance values less than 0.05. These findings confirm that a marketing strategy that combines an understanding of consumer lifestyle and the utilization of digital platforms like Facebook can enhance consumer purchasing decisions in the used car business in Lampung.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the current conditions and obstacles and formulate strategies for developing teaching materials and learning resources for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP PAB 2 Helvetia. The research approach used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with IRE teachers, the school principal, and students, observations of the learning process, and a review of curriculum documents, syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials used. The research results indicate that the development of PAI teaching materials still heavily relies on standard textbooks provided by the government, while teachers' creativity in developing additional teaching materials is relatively limited. The main challenges faced include time constraints, high administrative burdens, lack of specialized training in developing innovative teaching materials, and limited access to diverse reference sources. Nevertheless, teachers, students, and school officials are highly aware of the importance of more innovative, contextual, interactive, and integrative teaching materials. The strategies identified include adapting learning materials to the needs and characteristics of students, utilizing simple digital media, developing learning activities that encourage critical thinking, and integrating Islamic values into everyday life. This study recommends enhancing teachers' competencies through continuous training, providing adequate supporting facilities, and strengthening collaboration between teachers, schools, parents, and policymakers to create effective, meaningful, and character-building Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the curriculum theories adopted in the development of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum at MIS Fauzan Al Islamiyah and evaluate their relevance to the objectives of Islamic education. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, where data are collected through in-depth interviews with the madrasah principal, PAI teachers, and other relevant parties, supported by direct observation of the learning process and a review of curriculum documents such as syllabi, lesson plans, and madrasah archives. The results show that the development of the PAI curriculum at MIS Fauzan Al Islamiyah adopts a constructivist approach that emphasizes student activeness in building knowledge through discussion, group work, and problem solving. Learning is systematically designed through introductory, core, and closing stages by involving small and large groups to hone critical and creative thinking skills, and connect the subject matter with students' real experiences. This curriculum successfully integrates cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions that align with Islamic spiritual and social values. However, several challenges were identified, such as teachers' limited understanding of the curriculum framework, limited supporting resources, high administrative burdens, and difficulties in assessing students' affective aspects. This study recommends improving teacher competency, providing supporting facilities, and strengthening collaboration between madrasas, parents, and policymakers to optimize the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop teaching materials in the Islamic Education curriculum at the Darul Iman Islamic Boarding School in Southeast Aceh Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with boarding school leaders and PAI teachers, direct observation of the learning process, and review of curriculum documents and teaching materials. The results of the study indicate that IRE teaching materials are integrated between the national curriculum and the boarding school's unique curriculum, covering subjects such as aqidah, fiqh, akhlak, and the study of classical Islamic texts as a distinctive feature of boarding school education. However, most teaching materials are still taught traditionally without systematic modules or textbooks, leading to challenges in the consistency and integration of content. Some of the obstacles identified include limitations in teachers' competence in designing innovative teaching materials, a lack of training in teaching material development, a lack of engaging learning media, and budget constraints. To address these obstacles, pesantren have implemented development strategies such as regular evaluations through teacher meetings, enriching materials with contextual examples, utilizing digital media, and encouraging teachers to participate in training on modern teaching material development. Collaboration with external parties, such as academics and Islamic education practitioners, is also emphasized to produce innovative teaching materials while maintaining the pesantren's unique characteristics. This study concludes that the development of PAI teaching materials should be directed toward balancing the deepening of religious knowledge and the integration of general knowledge through an interactive, adaptive, and contemporary approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of philosophical, psychological, and sociological foundations in the development of the Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum at MTsS Fahmussalam al-Aziziyah and its implications for curriculum effectiveness. These three foundations are essential elements in designing a holistic and contextual curriculum. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using observation, interviews, and document analysis as data collection techniques. The findings reveal that the philosophical foundation has been conceptually integrated into the curriculum objectives; however, its practical application remains limited and has not yet fully shaped the students’ internalization of values. The psychological foundation has begun to be considered through learning approaches that take into account students’ developmental characteristics, although there is still a need to strengthen the alignment of strategies with learners’ needs. Meanwhile, the sociological foundation is visible through community-based religious activities but is not yet fully embedded in the curriculum content to address contemporary social issues. These three foundations significantly influence the effectiveness of curriculum development. A curriculum that is not holistically grounded in these dimensions risks losing its ideological direction, social relevance, and pedagogical meaning. Therefore, the development of the PAI curriculum should be more integrative, reflective, and responsive to students’ development and the dynamic challenges of the surrounding society.
