Abstract

The implementation of the merdeka belajar kampus merdeka (MBKM) curriculum in education study programs at private universities in the social sciences cluster in Lombok is still facing various problems and dilemmas, even though the government has established regulations and guidelines for its implementation. This study aims to identify the challenges of implementing the MBKM curriculum in private tertiary education study programs within the IPS (Social Sciences) family in Lombok. It also seeks to analyze and elaborate on the dilemmas that arise during its implementation. The study utilizes a qualitative method by combining two types of methods, namely library research (literature review) and field study. The findings of this study indicate a lack of budgetary support from most institutions, including insufficient competence and concern among lecturers, resulting in a low level of student interest in the implementation. On the other hand, the dilemma faced in its implementation is that the curriculum and academic culture are primarily developed internally within tertiary institutions, while externally, there is a scarcity of partner institutions that share the same vision as the business world and industry within the context of the social sciences field.

Abstract

The Mobilizing Teacher Program is a local government initiative to strengthen the competence and quality of teachers, with a focus on improving pedagogical abilities, leadership, and the application of innovation in the learning process. The writing of this article uses a descriptive qualitative method, the data collection method used in writing this article is by means of observation and interviews. The place used as the writing of this research article is in the center of the Central Java Provincial Movement Teacher Center, which is located in Surakarta City. The research results show that the Teacher Mobilization Program has an important role in improving the quality of teachers in Central Java. Through BBGP, teachers have the opportunity to participate in training and coaching aimed at improving teaching skills, understanding the latest curriculum, and applying innovative learning methods. In addition, the Teacher Mobilization Program also functions as a forum for teachers to share experiences and knowledge with fellow professionals. This collaboration helps increase motivation and enthusiasm in creating a more effective learning environment in the classroom. The purpose of writing this article is to find out the profile of BBGP and the quality of teachers in Central Java, what is a driving teacher, the purpose of forming a driving teacher, the benefits of a driving teacher, and the role of a driving teacher in improving teacher quality. Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is; 1) describe the problems of social studies learning in elementary schools; 2) identify solutions to social studies learning problems in elementary schools. The method used in writing this article is a literature review or literature study, which uses theories and reference approaches that are relevant to the problem topic of writing this article. The steps for analyzing literature studies are; 1) describe the comparison and relevance of references that will be used to examine the topic problem; 2) matrix mapping according to data and reference needs; 3) establish concepts that are contextual to the topic problem, so that they can be linked to each other. Based on the results of the literature study conducted, it is clear that; 1) Social studies learning problems in elementary schools include; the material presented is less contextual to real life, development of problem solving skills is not carried out; textbook-based learning approach; and students' disruptive behavior often occurs in learning; 2) Solutions for handling social studies learning problems include; minimizing abstract material and focusing on issues that develop in everyday life to make it more contextual, selecting appropriate learning strategies and approaches to create meaningful learning for students, and using technology in learning to increase students' attention and concentration to Avoid disruptive behavior during learning.

Abstract

Problem based learning can help them become active and independent students and improve their ability to think and solve problems. This study aims to: 1) To assess fifth-grade students' critical thinking abilities at SDN Pannara Makassar City without making use of problem based learning methods. 2) To assess the critical thinking abilities of fifth-grade students at SDN Pannara Makassar City, utilized was the problem based learning approach. 3) To determine the influence of problem based learning methods on students' critical thinking skills between social studies learning outcomes of students who were given the problem based learning method and those who were not given the problem based learning method. Quasi-experimental research is this kind. Non-equivalent pretest-posttest study design with two classes is used in this investigation. Specifically, there are two classes: control and experimental. In the trial lesson, the traditional lecture method is used for learning, and in the experimental lesson, use of the problem based learning approach. From the data obtained, it can be seen that the influence of problem based learning methods can improve students' critical thinking skills. The results of inferential statistical analysis using covariance analysis (ANCOVA) obtained a Sig.count value of 0.000 with α = 0.05. The analysis revealed that the Sig.count value was greater than α (0.000 > 0.05), so that Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted. As a result, it is possible to draw the conclusion that using problem based learning techniques in addition to traditional learning can help students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Bu Nyai's role in developing the Al-Inayah Cebolek Kidul Islamic boarding school is very important, from its inception until now. Al-Inayah Islamic boarding school is one of the tahfidzul qur'an Islamic boarding schools in Cebolek Kidul village. Character education for students is also very important to overcome moral crises and strengthen character. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of Santri Character Education and the role of Mrs. Nyai in developing the Al-Inayah Cebolek Kidul Islamic Boarding School. This study uses a qualitative method. This research was carried out very selectively to obtain the authenticity of the data. The results of this research can be concluded as follows: (1) The aim of Islamic boarding school education is to develop and create a personality that is in harmony with Islamic teachings. (2) Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions with unique characteristics. Character education has an important role in maintaining good character throughout his life. (3) Mrs. Nyai Hj. Musyarofah has made a major contribution to the development of Pondok Al-Inayah from its inception until now. In the domestic realm, Mrs. Nyai often chases the students about cleanliness, discipline, and being unclean and pure. Meanwhile, in the public sphere, Bu Nyai often holds routine Koran readings every Saturday and Wednesday with the women of the Cebolek Kidul village.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of citizenship education in raising awareness of obeying campus rules and regulations at the North Sumatra State Islamic University, Medan. This type of research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive analysis study method. Data collection used observation, interviews and document study methods. Next, the data was analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research conclude that citizenship education plays an important role in shaping student awareness and behavior regarding campus rules and regulations at UIN North Sumatra Medan. Through citizenship education courses, students gain a deep understanding of the rights and obligations as citizens, the importance of active participation in democratic life, and how to transcend differences to achieve understanding and peace. Furthermore, the role of citizenship education in awareness of obeying campus rules and regulations at UIN North Sumatra is to create students who are disciplined, intelligent and responsible in living campus life. Students become more aware of their rights and obligations as citizens, as well as respecting differences and following applicable rules.

Abstract

Cu An Kiong Lasem Temple is one of the oldest temples in Lasem, located around the Babagan river. This sincerity has a continuous history of Chinese civilization which until now can still be found some ancient relics of former glory. This aim of article is to analyze the educational benefits of Cu An Kiong Temple in Lasem as an educational resource within the context of Social Studies at SMA N 1 Lasem. Cu An Kiong Temple is likely a significant historical and cultural site that plays a vital role in the study of this subject. This article will explore how Cu An Kiong Temple contributes to students' understanding of Chinese history, culture, and traditions, with a focus on the local context of Lasem. The article will also discuss approaches and teaching strategies that teachers can employ to integrate Cu An Kiong Temple into the Social Studies curriculum. This may involve field trips, research projects, or experiential learning methods to engage students and enhance their comprehension of the subject matter. Supported by research or case studies, this article will emphasize that Cu An Kiong Temple is not merely a tourist attraction or historical site but also an effective tool to enrich students' learning experiences in Social Studies and promote a better understanding of Chinese culture and history in the local environment.

Abstract

Teenagers, one of Indonesia's primary consumers, mainly access social media using smartphones. As a student, they use it freely, even when the teachers are in classes. Schools fear unlimited access to social media because the distraction could affect their scores. However, it also could bring positive change. 2019 is the year when the global pandemic crippled the world. Schools are forced to operate online with no direct supervision of the teachers. Social media could be used as an alternative teaching method in such events. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the intensity of social media use and learning related to learning outcomes. The use of social media carried out by students regardless of time affects student learning outcomes, both positively and negatively. Teachers use social media to support the value obtained by students to the maximum through utilization in learning. This study uses correlational quantitative methods with problem characteristics in the form of relationships between 2 or more correlations. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and interviews. The analysis techniques used are normality test, linearity test, double linear regression test, and Pearson correlation test. The results obtained are: (1) a positive and significant relationship exists between the intensity of social media use and student sociology learning outcomes. (2) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning and student sociology learning outcomes. (3) there is a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of social media and learning with the sociology learning outcomes of grade XI social studies students of SMA N 1 Ngawi. The use of social media can be beneficial for students in learning and learning outcomes of student sociology

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out what local wisdom values ​​exist in the jenang tebokan carnival tradition in Kaliputu Village, Kudus City, Central Java. This research uses library methods. Namely, the data collected was obtained from various scientific literature (library research). Then what is done in data analysis is by collecting data, then classifying it and drawing conclusions. The results of this research are concluded as follows: (1) Tradition is the concept of beliefs and behavior that are passed down from generation to generation. The concepts aimed at include religion, social customs, cuisine and art. Tradition comes from Latin, namely traditio, meaning "passed on" or what is called custom. (2) Jenang tebokan is jenang in a tray. The term "tebokan" comes from the word tebok which means a tray made of woven bamboo. (3) Local wisdom values in the jenang tebokan tradition, namely religious values, social values ​​and cultural values.

Abstract

Al-Hasib Junior High School is an educational institution that prioritizes student achievement, both in academic and non-academic fields. Therefore, it is expected that students educated in such schools have superior knowledge, intelligence and good morals. However, facts on the ground show that there are still bad attitudes and ethics towards teachers, such as disrespect and disrespect also still exist. In addition, students' confidence in socializing is also still lacking. This study aims to understand overall school policies that shape the social character of AL-Hasib Junior High School students in accordance with guidelines from the Ministry of Education and Culture, and also to explore how the implementation of character education is carried out to form responsible, polite and caring social character. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive type. The main sources of information involve the principal, student waka, curriculum waka, and Al-Hasib Junior High School students themselves. This research involves collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation which will then be analyzed by organizing the data, reducing the data and drawing conclusions. As for the validity of the data, it is tested using triangulation techniques. The findings of the research show that school policies to shape social character start from the implementation of the school curriculum. Learning activities in the classroom and teaching teachers are also directed to implement and fulfill aspects that are in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education. Then it ends with the evaluation process. At the implementation stage, students apply social character both inside and outside the classroom. This is expected to be a recommendation for teachers in carrying out learning in the future. Teachers are expected to provide deeper instillation of character values in students. In this way, it is expected that students can have a comprehensive understanding in implementing character values that are integrated with their daily learning.
