Abstract

This Community Service Activity was carried out as an effort to improve operational efficiency in travel service business actors, especially PT Swabina Gatra Travel, through optimizing the use of the Bookswantastic and Jurnal ID digital systems. Although both systems have been implemented to support the ticket booking process and financial transaction recording, the lack of integration of these systems still causes obstacles such as data duplication, price input errors, and increased employee workload. Through this activity, the community service team provides education-based solutions and assistance in the form of training on the use of more effective digital systems, preparation of internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and socialization of the potential for system integration through API technology. It is hoped that this activity can improve the understanding and skills of business actors in managing digital-based business processes efficiently, while strengthening the readiness for digital transformation in the travel service sector.

Abstract

This community service activity focuses on developing mangrove-based coffee products as part of an effort to innovate the processing of non-timber forest products with high potential in the coastal areas of North Gorontalo. This activity was carried out in response to the high potential of mangrove ecosystems that have not been optimally utilized by coastal communities, particularly in the context of downstreaming products based on the creative economy. The community service was carried out through a series of stages, starting from identifying safe and edible mangrove species, training local community groups, developing mangrove coffee product formulations, and providing marketing assistance. The methods used in this program included counseling, technical production training, branding and marketing workshops, and business sustainability evaluations. Through a participatory approach, coastal communities, particularly women and youth groups, were actively involved in the entire process, facilitating knowledge and technology transfer while empowering the economy. The results showed improved skills in producing mangrove coffee, the establishment of local marketing networks, and the emergence of new entrepreneurial spirit among beneficiaries. Mangrove coffee products have also received positive feedback from both local consumers and tourists due to their uniqueness and added value. This initiative is expected to encourage the diversification of coastal flagship products, increase community income, and promote synergy in the conservation of mangrove ecosystems in North Gorontalo. The active participation of local government stakeholders and related institutions is also key to the sustainability of the program for the development of the coastal region's creative economy.

Abstract

This PkM activity discusses the Implementation of Digital Population Identity Applications to Improve the Efficiency of Public Services (IKD) in Pakal District. One of the main innovations of the Indonesian government is the introduction of the Digital Population Identity application to facilitate population data management and improve the efficiency of public administration. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the IKD application in Pakal District, Surabaya and evaluate its impact on the efficiency and quality of population administration services in the community. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through direct observation related to public services in Pakal District to the local community, as well as conducting a survey by interviewing several people regarding the implementation of IKD and document analysis related to the implementation of the IKD application. The results of the activity show that the implementation of the IKD Application in Pakal District has a positive impact on the efficiency of population administration services, by reducing document processing time, increasing data accuracy and ease of access for the community. Based on data from the Directorate General of Dukcapil, Ministry of Home Affairs, the number of IKD activations nationally has reached 9,407,945 people, which reflects that people are increasingly finding it easier to access population documents digitally through applications on their smartphones. However, several challenges still arise, such as limited technological infrastructure and low digital literacy among some people. This study recommends increasing socialization and strengthening digital infrastructure to support the optimization of benefits regarding IKD for the community.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase the adoption rate of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) made from rabbit urine by rice farmers in Sorogedug Hamlet, Madurejo Village, Prambanan Sub-district, Sleman Regency. Through a quantitative descriptive approach, this activity involved 32 farmer members of the farmer group who were the targets of educational interventions in the form of counseling, training, and field demonstrations. The results of the activity showed that the majority of farmers had reached a high level of awareness and interest in the use of POC, although some were still in the trial stage and had not fully adopted it routinely. Factors such as age, formal education, farming experience, land area, and number of family members contributed to variations in the adoption rate. This activity concluded that to encourage the sustainable use of POC, a farmer group-based approach, facilitation of tools and raw materials, and strengthening of adaptive and participatory technical assistance were needed.

Abstract

Smart Plug Wifi, an Internet of Things (IoT) innovation, has strong potential to improve energy efficiency of public street lighting. Its success, however, is contingent upon local community perceptions and acceptance. This study aims to analyze the public’s perception in Selebar Subdistrict toward the deployment of Smart Plug Wifi for streetlight energy efficiency and to identify key drivers and barriers based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). A descriptive qualitative approach was employed with 30 purposively sampled respondents spanning three age groups (18–30; 31–50; >50 years) and diverse occupations. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and thematically analyzed across TAM dimensions: perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude toward the technology. Results indicate that 60% of respondents view Smart Plug Wifi as an effective solution for reducing electricity consumption evidenced by their appreciation of precise on–off scheduling while 30% remain neutral and 10% reject the technology due to cost concerns. Primary drivers include environmental awareness and trust in government policy, whereas major barriers are limited socialization and technical understanding. These findings underscore the necessity for more robust communication strategies and technical training to foster wider adoption. This study contributes to the Smart City and public energy efficiency literature by providing empirical insights into user acceptance of IoT devices in public spaces and offers practical policy recommendations for local governments to design inclusive smart lighting programs.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to educate residents of Komplek Molek 1, Bekasi City in managing energy consumption efficiently through the use of Smart WiFi Plug technology based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This activity was carried out with an experimental quantitative approach that compared electricity consumption at the guard post before and after using the device. The results of the observation showed a decrease in energy consumption from 0.21 kWh to 0.18 kWh per day, which means a savings of 0.9 kWh per month or Rp1,530. This technology allows automatic regulation of the lighting time, so that electricity use becomes more controlled and efficient. In addition to providing technical impacts, this activity also encourages energy literacy and active community participation in implementing appropriate technology in their residential environment. These findings prove that the implementation of simple technology-based solutions can be a real step in supporting energy efficiency at the community level.
