Abstract

financial distressis a condition where the company's finances are experiencing a loss because it is considered unable to pay its obligations when they are due. The increase in cigarette excise rates will certainly have an impact on the shares of cigarette issuers and result in an increase in the selling price of cigarettes which will allow the company to experience financial distress. Cigarette companies need to analyze the company's financial condition, in which companies can predict opportunities for financial distress. Among them are using bankruptcy prediction models, one of which is zmijewski, altman z-score and ohlson. The aim of the researchers was to determine the prediction of financial distress in cigarette companies listed on the IDX for the 2018-2022 period using the Zmijewski method, altman z-score and Ohlson. This research is a descriptive research,The results show that the Zmijewski method predicts all healthy companies, the Altman Z-Score method for three companies is said to be healthy and the Ohlson method has two companies in good health. Ohlson's method has a high degree of accuracy72% with Typel Elrror 1 at 20% and Typel Elrror II at 8%. So that the Ohlson model is the most appropriate to use in predicting financial distress in cigarette companies listed on the Indonesian Efek Exchange (BEI).

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of problem characteristic factors, regulatory and non-regulatory carrying capacity on the implementation process of e-learning based online learning policies at Nusa Cendana University. This type of research uses a positivism paradigm with a quantitative approach, where to obtain the truth of the data, direct interviews are conducted with the object under study. The sample used in this research was 467 people who were lecturers and students at Nusa Cendana University. Research data was analyzed using descriptive statistical tests and PLS-SEM inferential statistics. The results obtained show that descriptively the four variables received a good category response with indicators of problem characteristic factors reaching 73.28%, regulatory carrying capacity of 78.27%, non-regulatory carrying capacity of 77.11% and the e-learning implementation process of 75.05%. Hypothesis testing shows that the problem characteristic factor has a significant positive influence (p<0.05) directly at 18.4% and through non-regulatory carrying capacity at 48.3% but through regulatory carrying capacity at only 5.3% it does not have a significant influence (p>0.05) towards the process of implementing e-learning based online learning policies at Nusa Cendana University. The results of the determinant test show that the problem characteristic factors have a significant moderate/moderate influence (p<0.05) through regulatory carrying capacity of 50.2% and through non-regulatory carrying capacity of 53.0% but together/simultaneously they give a strong influence of 75.3% while 24.7% was influenced by other factors outside this research.

Abstract

The Chino-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), initialed in 2013, is among China’s biggest foreign policy and investment commitments. It links China's Xinjiang Province with the Arabian Sea overland through Pakistan by three major new transportation corridors, supplemented by new power plants fueled by both renewables and coal, and establishing new industrial parks and trade zones. The project could transform Pakistan, but it also has clear implications for the Gulf States and after the outbreak of the Qatar crisis in 2017, CPEC became an arena of competition for the Gulf States. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a part of a strategic geopolitical move that promises not only augment the strategic position of Pakistan but also unleashing socio-economic potentials of Qatar and China. The research is an effort to highlights the interest of china and Pakistan regarding CPEC. Keeping in view the geo-strategic location of Gwadar port It also provides an insight into the challenges regarding CPEC It also endorses why Qatar is keenly interested to join the CPEC and how its involvement boosts its economy? The proposed research is based on descriptive and analytical research methods where the researcher consults primary and secondary sources to support their argument. So, in this way, the results suggest that strategically CPEC would provide a supported system to Qatar to transform its move into a truly interconnected world. This project can potentially strengthen the macroeconomic cooperation connectivity peace, and growth among different countries through trade and business opportunities which will further generate revenues for Qatar.

Abstract

This research aims to understand and interpret the meaning of "Determining Boarding House Rates from the owner's perspective during the COVID-19 pandemic among boarding house entrepreneurs in Central Sulawesi. This research uses the Interpretive Paradigm of the Transcendental Phenomenological Approach. Interviews, Observations, and Documentation were used to collect research data. This is important to reveal the shift in the meaning of determining tariffs in situations that make it difficult for owners to adopt boarding house income tariff policies. The results of this research indicate that for boarding house owners, the costs incurred in owning a boarding house are routine costs at all times. Therefore, for them, the meaning of determining the boarding fee is a manifestation of gratitude for the excellent fortune given by God Almighty. The determination of these rates manifests the boarding house owner's struggle in facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from that, determining the tariff is also interpreted as a form of brotherly feeling of helping each other. This then forms a rationality of thought for boarding house entrepreneurs who use this feeling of joy and happiness as a trigger for determining boarding house rates and providing reductions in tariff determination.
