Abstract

Linguistic studies in language teaching do not get a dominant place, because the relationship between the two is not direct. Even if we look further, we find that what is taught can be said directly proportional to the meaning of the language itself, which is nothing but the study of linguistics as described by linguists. In the development that occurred, various theories were used in studying the phenomenon of language, one of which was the implicature theory. This theory requires that language be seen from its effects, so that words are arranged and spoken with the aim of giving implications for listeners. More than that, balagah in Arabic studies is wider in scope, because it requires context in speaking, who is the other person, to the choice of words and sentence phrases. In this case, balagah is a good internal approach in compiling, to developing teaching materials in teaching Arabic. With a strict approach, it is hoped that the language taught is actually used and adapted to the situation of students and teachers as part of the community members who use the language and who carry out the learning and teaching process.

Abstract

Learning Arabic at Madrasah Aliyah in the city of Malang faces various difficulties, including: (1) Non-linearity in student education. Students from Islamic Junior High School (MTs) do not always continue their studies to Islamic Senior High School (MA) and similarly students from Junior High School (SMP) do not always continue their studies to Senior High School (SMA). (2) The second problem is the language competence of each student which is also an important thing in the Arabic learning process. This research is very important to do to find out the relationship between students' background and their learning ability. The two researchers used quantitative research to determine the effect of students' background and competence on the motivation to learn Arabic among Islamic Senior High School (MA) students in Malang. The results of this study are R = 0.317 R Table 0.113 which means it has a weak correlation and the results of multiple regression tests are obtained by chi square 0.100, which means that students' background (X1) and competence (X2) have an effect = 1.00% on motivation to learn Arabic in Indonesia among students of Islamic Senior High School Malang (Y). There are other factors that affect the motivation to learn Arabic in Madrasah Aliyah students except the academic background and proficiency of students by 99.00%, and this result is greater than the influence of background and language proficiency of students.

Abstract

Arabic sexism can be seen from the Arabic grammar system it self supporting the formation of sexist language. Arabic sexism in education, especially religious education in the form of subject matter and the education process increasingly dwarf women from the inequality of the patriarchal system. To build a world of equitable education without gender inequality originating from language sexism is to create gender-friendly language, restructure the curriculum, and require a paradigmatic, egalitarian, flexible, and persuasive learning step from all parties, especially teachers as the spearhead of the learning process.

Abstract

Writing is one of the four language skills that students and the last language skill in language learning. Even in the academic field, especially at the university level, the urgency of these skills is very large in learning activities, which we know that student work requires writing skills, especially for writing a thesis and dissertation. At the tertiary level, learning writing skills is divided into three stages: directed writing, free writing, and academic writing. This research uses a descriptive method. The data collection technique uses document techniques, in-depth interviews and participant observation. The results of this study are; First: Teachers of the Arabic Language Development Program have conducted an evaluation using a portfolio strategy in learning to write to obtain information about the results of student assignments. The teacher / lecturer implements this strategy by collecting all student work during the learning process, which contains the work results that have been checked by the lecturer and corrected by the students according to the notes given. Second: the positive factor of this strategy is to improve students' ability to evaluate themselves during the writing process, and students can learn from their mistakes and be able to improve their independent writing competence. The negative factors are the problems in the students' writing examination activities which are divided into three parts; the timing is not right, the students 'writing is not understandable, and the assignments are not in accordance with the lecturers' instructions. One of the obstacles faced by the lecturer in determining the results is when the assignments that have been collected by students are put into a portfolio containing paper folders, while some paper assignments are not put in that folder.

Abstract

Language is speech, as Ibn Jinni defined it. This definition goes to the growth of the spoken language in society. It is well known that the spoken language is more developed and used than the written language. This research aims to explain the conditions of the spoken language and its changes. First of all, we divide this spoken language into two parts, pidgin language and creole language. While a pidgin language arises from efforts to communicate between speakers of different languages, a creole language is born from the natural language that develops from the simplifying and mixing of different languages into a new one. This phenomenon is found in many languages, including Arabic. The pidgin language in Arabic is spoken by workers from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, the Philippines and other countries. They try to converse among themselves in Arabic according to their ability and understanding, this is where the pidgin language originates. And there are many languages was established among peoples for a long time, and the frequent circulation of it among them made it natural to them, so this language became a creole language.
