Abstract

Education is a means in building the character of the nation in building a highly civilized society, where Islamic Religious Education is an important part.. For this reason, efforts to improve the quality of religious education are important to overcome the problems. The purpose of this study was to find out the problems of implementing Islamic religious education and how to improve the quality of education at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Hikmah in Wringinanom, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency. In this study, the researcher uses a qualitative type, which emphasizes natural descriptions, and data collection or phenomena collection is carried out from reasonable circumstances. Therefore, researchers are directly involved in the field. From the results of the study, there were several problems found, namely: low cognitive abilities of students; commitment, quality and competence of educators that need to be improved; The lack of understanding of educators about the 2013 curriculum; lack of cooperation between a small number of parents and educators and limited infrastructure. Efforts to overcome these problems, madrasas are carried out in several ways: for students, providing educational sanctions, forming student group work, discussions between students in class, and providing additional hours. For educators, participating in seminars and workshops. For the curriculum, by increasing the socialization of the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. For management, it seeks to increase the involvement between the guardians of students and the community in an effort to improve quality, through meetings. For facilities and infrastructure, the school will seek the realization of facilities and infrastructure that do not yet exist, such as libraries.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the unique activities of scouts at SMA 45 Purwodadi which are oriented to the formation of leadership characters. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Through data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation, the research seeks to reveal the system used in the formation of leadership character, along with the supporting and inhibiting factors. The results show that the implementation of scouting activities uses the ‘Among’ system which reflects the trilogy values ​​of ‘Ing Ngarso sung Tulodo, Ing madya mangun Karso and Tut wuri Handayani’, meaning that the front gives an example, the middle gives encouragement and the back always encourages. The leadership character is strived to be formed through 5 activities: 1) unit leader rehearsal 2) upgrading, seminars and workshops, 3) Persami 4) Community service camp, and 5) Scout Action Unit (SAKA), so that a prophetic leadership character is formed by increasing knowledge, skills, and abilities. experience and life skills, which adhere to the characteristics of the Prophet, namely ‘Shidiq’, ‘Amanah’, ‘Tabligh’ and ‘Fathanah’. Support and commitment from schools, reliable and experienced scout coaches and synergistic relationships are supporting factors in the formation of leadership characteristics. Meanwhile, student motivation and lack of infrastructure are part of the inhibiting factors that become the material for evaluation and improvement for SMA 45 Purwodadi.

Abstract

Selama pandemi berlangsung, mayoritas kegiatan pembelajaran diarahkan menggunakan e-learning, termasuk dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Pemanfaatan e-learning membutuhkan evaluasi untuk perbaikan kedepannya. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi pemanfaatan e-learning pada proses belajar siswa di SMP IIBS AL MAAHIRA PUTRI Malang pada saat pandami covid berlangsung, terutama dalam hal belajar bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP IIBS AL MAAHIRA PUTRI Malang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang disebarkan melalui Google form. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa lebih suka menggunakan google meet, dengan alat laptop. Meski berupa distance learning, pembelajaran tetap dapat efektif, di mana 77,6% siswa tetap antusias mengerjakan tugas dari guru. Mayoritas siswa tetap lebih menyukai pembelajaran tatap muka. Hasil evaluasi ini berimplikasi kepada pendidik agar dapat membuat rancangan belajar yang menarik, kreatif serta inovatif, agar pembelajaran jarak jauh tetap bisa efektif.

Abstract

The Whatsapp (WA) application has become the most popular social media in the world which was started due to features that are easy and flexible to use for daily communication. One very useful feature is the group chat feature, where users can create private groups and can be devoted to anything, including educational purposes. With its advantages, Whatsapp has become widely used as a learning medium. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of the Whatsapp application in distance learning-based learning and the researcher uses class E MPBA UIN Malang as the object of this research. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The results of this study describe first, the implementation of the use of Whasapp as a learning medium, second, the obstacles to using the Whatsapp application in distance learning-based learning in class E MPBA UIN Malang, and third, the solution for using Whatsapp applications in distance learning-based learning in class E MPBA UIN Malang.

Abstract

The implementation of 4C (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity) in the learning process is vital in order to prepare students for the 21st century (Supriano, 2019). In this era which the learning process conducts online, the teachers may still emphasize those values through kinds of questions served especially through e-learning madrasah. Thus, the objectives of this study are to be a reference for the other teachers by exploring the kinds of questions in learning Arabic, also give suggestions or even convey to certain parts so that a revision of e-learning madrasah will be conducted by analyzing the obstacles. Applying descriptive qualitative method, the researchers assume that through the futures of e-learning madrasah the teachers provide PPT/PDF, multiple choices, short answer and essay questions for maharah qiro’ah (reading skill), listening to a video/audio for maharah istima’ wa kalam (listening and speaking skills), fill-in-the-blank, short answer questions as well as asking students to create a simple essay for maharah kitabah (writing skill). Nevertheless, the Arabic font in e-learning madrasah and the learning schedule which is not specific and fixed become the obstacles.

Abstract

This article examines the use of Canva software in the Arabic learning process. Canva is a graphic design application that helps users to more easily design various types of creativity from the inspiration of their own thoughts. In the learning process, this software is indispensable. This software arose from the thought of designing tools that help produce work in learning, and can be done anywhere. This is of course in line with the learning needs during the COVID-19 virus pandemic, where the government prefers to carry out activities at home. The subject of the research is a teacher who has teaching experience in class XI MAN Gunung Padang Panjang. Research is directed at describing the steps, features and benefits of learning to use Canva. The results of the study found that teachers followed a step-by-step tutorial to use Canva which has various features, so that users can use it to produce a work in the form of a poster. Teachers feel the benefits of using Canva more towards graphic design in learning. Not only learning languages, Canva is proven to encourage students' creativity.

Abstract

Arabic learning in Indonesia is entering a new phase during the pandemic. Students are allowed to join limited face-to-face meetings with reduced class hours. In response to this, a blended learning model is applied by combining face-to-face learning models in class and at other times conducting online learning outside the classroom or at home. To help students achieve the objectives of learning Arabic, gamification of learning is needed by utilizing online or android-based games. This study aims to describe how educators apply gamification in blended learning. The method used in writing this article is descriptive analysis or literature review which produces descriptive data from various research results on teacher experiences of gamification in blended learning. The results of this study indicate that students can practice with the educational games provided. This provides easy access and efficiency and enhances student interest.

Abstract

This paper begins with the lack of Arabic competence among the students who enter the elementary Islamic school in Madarasah Diniyah al-Karomah Malang. Mastering the Arabic vocabularies is the first skill to comprehend with but most of the students lack of it. So these paper focused on (1) How is the application of the Mimicry Memorization Method (Mim Mem Method) to the vocabulary learning in 1st class of Madrasah Diniyah Al-Karomah (2) How is the effectiveness of using the Mimicry Memorization Method (Mim Mem Method) in the mastery of Arabic vocabulary students in 1st class of Madrasah Diniyah Al-Karomah. This research used a Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in two cycles which were carried out from March to July 2020. Research data obtained from quantitative data. Then the quantitative data in the form of observations, questionnaires, and student test scores for each cycle were analyzed using percentage techniques and descriptive statistics. The results of this study, In the pre-test students obtained an average score of 56 then after post-test in first cycle increased to 73,4. In the post-test of second cycle the students' average score increased again to 75. The increase was also seen in the results of observations of learning activities during the four meetings. The increase in learning activities increased from 95% to 96%.

Abstract

Spiritual intelligence is an important study in the world of education because of its impact and role in shaping meaningful human beings in life. Humans who have closeness to God as well as concern for others. For this reason, Islamic education requires a concept of spiritual intelligence that can be applied to form a generation of Muslims with this type of intelligence. This study seeks to produce the concept of spiritual intelligence based on the verses of the Qur'an, about the Luqman family story contained in Surah Luqman verses 12-19. Through library research, data was collected using documentation techniques, then analyzed using the maudhu'i or thematic method, by discussing the verses of the Qur'an based on the theme. The results of the study explain that there are several aspects of spiritual intelligence in the surah and the verse, namely: spiritual aspects which include the command to be grateful, not to commit shirk, being able to do good and prevent evil, and being able to be patient. Furthermore, the biological aspect is the command to establish prayer and the social aspect which includes: the necessity to always obey both parents and get along with fellow humans with good association. Then some aspects of this spiritual intelligence can be actualized in the implementation of the pillars of Islam, the pillars of faith and ihsan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of using the Zoom Cloud Meeting application in online lectures for S1 PBA students at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. The research seeks to present data on student recognition regarding their experiences during the distance lecture process by using the Zoom application. There are three main points to be explored, namely familiarity, deliverability and student assessment of the use of zoom as a learning medium. The study used qualitative research methods, where primary data was obtained through online interviews with 30 students. The results of the study concluded that the majority of students felt they were used to using zoom meetings and they could still receive learning well. The majority of students assessed that the main obstacle was the availability of a good network signal. Although there are shortcomings, it can still be concluded that the use of zoom meetings as a learning medium is quite effective, where students can still receive learning well, and learning objectives can be achieved.
