Abstract

This study was conducted to provide students with an understanding of the effect of using sawdust and coconut husk mulch on the production of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.), and to determine whether this learning model can be applied in the learning process of horticulture courses at IKIP Saraswati. This type of research is experimental, using a simple experimental posttest only control group design. The population of this study were shallot bulbs taken from agricultural shops with relatively the same dryness and weight. The total population is 500 shallot bulbs. From a population of 500 bulbs, 180 bulbs were taken as samples. Sampling was done randomly. This experiment was grouped into 2 groups with three replications. The first group was given coconut coir mulch and the second group was given sawdust mulch. The data obtained in the form of production (wet weight) of shallot bulbs were tested for normality. If the normality requirements have been met, then a parametric analysis with a t-test is carried out. Student learning outcomes using experimental-based learning methods were evaluated using formative assessment. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the production (wet weight of bulbs) of shallots treated with coconut coir mulch compared to sawdust mulch. Where the treatment with coconut coir mulch gives an average wet weight of shallot bulbs which is superior to sawdust. The use of this experimental-based approach improves students' ability to communicate, and interpret the results obtained from direct observation. It also motivates students to improve cognitive, social, psychomotor and problem solving skills, redefine their theoretical understanding of different concepts, apply deductive and inductive reasoning skills, and encourage collaboration between students. So this experiment needs to be applied in the learning process of horticulture courses at IKIP Saraswati.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' learning abilities in Balinese tembang material, as well as student responses to the use of problem based learning learning models in Balinese vocal tembang courses in students in the fourth semester of Sendratasik 2021/2022. The existence of tembang plays a very important role in society, because tembang/metembang is often associated with aspects of ritual, entertainment/spectacle in the form of sekar rare, alit, middle and agung. This study will discuss students' abilities and student responses to the Balinese tembang vocal material by using a problem based learning model with two assessment methods, namely test and observation methods. The results showed that before the application of the problem based learning model, the average score of students was 47.7. After the application of the problem based learning model, there was an increase in the achievement of student scores in the first cycle to an average of 67.7, the average student response reaching 58.2. In cycle II, there was a significant increase, namely the achievement of the average score of students reaching 80, while student responses increased, reaching 76.2 in cycle II.

Abstract

Problem-based learning is a learning approach that presents contextual problems so that it stimulates students to learn. This classroom action research aims to increase students’ outcome of economy lesson by applying learning model Problem Based Learning (PBL). This research was conducted in class XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Pekutatan at second term in academic year 2021/2022 to 32 students. The research’s result shows at cycle 1, the mean score is 74,53 which was categorized good and mastery of learning outcomes achieve 68,75% classically. Meanwhile, at cycle 2, the mean score results 83,59 which was categorized good and mastery of learning outcomes achieve 93,75% classically. The result shows that the applying of Problem Based Learnng model can increase students’ outcome of economy lesson at class XII IPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Pekutatan at second term in academic year 2021/2022.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students' learning outcomes in Chemistry by applying the Project Based Learning learning model with the STEM approach to students' Carbon Compounds material. The implementation of this class action research was carried out in class XII MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in semester 1. The subjects of this research were class XII MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in the academic year 2022/2023, a total of 44. The object of research is the application of the Project Based Learning learning model with the STEM approach, and learning outcomes. In this study two cycles were used through four stages of the activity process which included: planning, action, observation, and evaluation & reflection. The results showed that in the initial reflection the average student learning outcomes was 70.93. In cycle I, 19 students completed and 25 students incomplete, with an average student learning outcome of 72.95 and a percentage of student activity of 42.04% which is quite active. In cycle II as many as 44 people have completed, with an average student learning outcome of 81.36 and a percentage of student activity of 60.51% which is classified as active. Thus the application of the Project Based Learning learning model with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach to carbon compounds material can improve chemistry learning outcomes for class XII MIPA 2 students at SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in the academic year 2022/2023.

Abstract

The competitiveness ability of Village Credit Institutions or Lembaga Perkreditan Desa (LPD) in Buleleng Regency on average decreased during 2018, 2019 and 2020. Leadership and human resource competencies play an important role in achieving competitive advantage. This study aims to determine the influence of leadership and human resource competence on the competitive advantage of LPD in Buleleng Regency partially and simultaneously. The leadership variable adopts the eight leadership traits of Asta Brata which include: indra brata, yama brata, solar brata, candra brata, vayu brata, bhumi brata, varuna brata and kwera brata. Human resource competencies include: knowledge, skills and abilities. Competitive advantages include: the threat of new entrants, the supply power of suppliers, the supply power of buyers, the threat of substitute products, and competition. Data were collected using a questionnaire technique that has been tested for validity and reliability and analyzed by regression analysis and moderated regression analysis. The results of data analysis indicate that leadership has a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage, and human resource competence strengthens the influence of leadership on LPD competitive advantage in Buleleng Regency, Bali.

Abstract

The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach is a learning concept that helps educators relate subject matter to students' real-world situations and encourages students to make connections between their knowledge and its application in everyday life. The purpose of this study is to describe how the implementation of learning with the CTL approach and find out student responses in an effort to improve students' ability to write News Items. The subjects in this study were students of class XII IPS 2 SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar for the 2022/2023 academic year. The object of this research is the study of learning analysis using the CTL approach and students' responses to the ability to write news items. This study used two cycles, and each cycle went through four stages of activity, namely (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) evaluation and reflection. Data collection techniques in this study are using test and observation methods. The results of the action research showed that (1) there was an increase in learning with the CTL approach which was declared successful in increasing each cycle in students' ability to write News Items. (2) there is a positive response from learning using the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach that can increase the response of class XII IPS 2 students of SMA Negeri 7 Denpasar in the 2022/2023 academic year in the ability to write News Items.

Abstract

This study tries to examine the value of character education in the struggle of I Gusti Ngurah Rai in the War of Independence to defend Indonesia's independence. This study also examines how the potential of I Gusti Ngurah Rai's struggle in defending Indonesia's independence is to be used as a source of national character formation. The research method uses qualitative methods with analytical descriptive explanations. The stages used in the research are starting from the stage of determining the topic, observation, interviews, documentation studies, and literature studies. The results show that the value of character education is very relevant to the story of the struggle of I Gusti Ngurah Rai in defending independence. The value of character education contained in the struggle of I Gusti Ngurah Rai in maintaining independence has great potential to be used as a source of national character formation. The conclusion of this study: the value of character education contained in the struggle of I Gusti Ngurah Rai, among others, such as, religious, honest, tolerance, discipline, democracy, love for the homeland, social care and responsibility. The value of character education in the story of I Gusti Ngurah Rai's struggle has great potential to be used as a source of national character formation. The formation of a nation's character with a high historical awareness will lead to a figure who is intelligent and has a high spirit of patriotism.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is learning that is designed with the aim of facilitating all the diversity of students based on the learning needs and characteristics of students in learning activities. E-LKPD in the form ofLive Worksheet is one of the media assisted by electronic media which contains text, images, animations, and videos that are more effective so that students don't get bored quickly. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the application of E-LKPD-assisted differentiated learning can increase students' active learning in mathematics. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this research were class VIII.2 students of SMP Negeri 6 Denpasar in the academic year 2022/2023 and the object of this research was the activeness of students learning mathematics. In this research through two cycles consisting of four stages of the activity process which includes (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) evaluation and reflection. Data collection techniques using the observation method. The results of the study show that the application of E-LKPD-assisted differentiated learning can increase the activeness of learning mathematics in class VIII.2 students of SMP Negeri 6 Denpasar in the 2022/2023 academic year

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the application of the discovery learning learning models to improve student learning outcomes in biology on the subject of the upper secondary school respiratory system. This type of research was classroom action research which was conducted from December 2022 to February 2023. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 11 Denpasar for the 2022/2023 academic year. The object in this research is the results of students' biology learning on the cognitive aspect, with the material of the respiratory system with the discovery learning models. The implementation of the research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings with the stages of planning, action, observation, evaluation and reflection. The results showed that in cycle I, the average pre-test score for students was 59. Meanwhile, the average post-test score for students was 67.64. In cycle II, the average student pre-test score was 81.91. While the average result of the students' post-test score was 97.35. From the specified categories, this research has reached the category of success, indicators of success of student biology learning outcomes or the average value of student learning outcomes, namely fulfilling the KKM, namely 75. Based on this, it can be concluded that the application of discovery learning learning models improves student biology learning outcomes class XI MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 11 Denpasar for the academic year 2022/2023.

Abstract

The key issues with students' communication skills have been found to be extremely low by online learning during the previous two years according to Covid-19. It negatively affects kids' communication abilities. Direct observation is used to identify issues that are evident from the decline in pupils' English communication skills. Online student exchange is the component of the collaboration project with WTW.Inc. Japan that aims to help students' communication abilities. To carry out the activity, students from around the world share knowledge and create presentations utilizing technology tools like multimedia. The desire and motivation of the students to participate in the activity in this study is indicative of the impact that multimedia has on the presentation. Students in the English Club at SMK TI BALI GLOBAL DENPASAR will be the subject of the study. Observations, teacher and student interviews, and questionnaires are all utilized as qualitative research techniques. The Miles and Huberman methods are used to analyze the data, and a pie chart and narrative data presentation were used to illustrate the questionnaire results. The findings of this study demonstrated the significant positive impact of employing multimedia when giving presentations to students from foreign nations.
