Abstract

This research is based on the problem of low student motivation and learning outcomes in English subjects, which is caused by the use of conventional learning methods that are less attractive. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model assisted by Kahoot in improving student learning outcomes. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method, using a pretest-posttest control group design. The samples is two classes: class XI-6 as the experimental group and class XI-7 as the control group, each consisting of 25 students. The experimental class was taught using the STAD model with Kahoot, while the control class used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through tests, interviews, and observations, and analyzed using SPSS with normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed a significant improvement in the posttest scores of the experimental class compared to the control class. The hypothesis testing using independent sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.047 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two classes. This proves that the use of the STAD cooperative learning model assisted by Kahoot has a positive and significant effect on students’ English learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of e-learning media on the learning interest of accounting education students at Makassar State University. The variables in this study are e-learning media (X) and learning interest (Y) which are measured using a Likert scale. The population in this study is students of the Accounting Education Program at Makassar State University. The data collection technique in this research uses questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis, simple linear regression analysis, instrument testing, and hypothesis testing. Based on the data analysis, a simple linear regression equation was obtained: Y = 26.171 + 0.480X, which means that if the e-learning media variable is considered to be zero, the interest in learning variable is 26.171. From the results, the coefficient of determination r2 is 0.120, which means that e-learning media accounts for 12.0% of the influence on interest in learning, while the remaining is influenced by other factors not studied. Furthermore, the effect of e-learning media on interest in learning is indicated by a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), meaning the hypothesis of a positive effect of e-learning media on the interest in learning of students in the Accounting Education Program is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group counseling services with cognitive disputation techniques in reducing public speaking anxiety in class X students of Madrasah Aliyah Project UNIVA Medan. The approach used is quantitative research with the Quasi Experimental Design method. The research design applied is Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The study population was 26 students, and the research sample was 10 students selected by purposive sampling technique based on the level of public speaking anxiety in the high category. The research data were obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest using a public speaking anxiety questionnaire instrument. The data analysis technique was carried out using the parametric independent sample t-test, after first fulfilling the prerequisite tests in the form of normality and homogeneity tests. The results showed that the average score of students' public speaking anxiety decreased, from 110.40 (high category) in the pretest to 55.60 (low category) in the posttest. In addition, the t-test value obtained was 2,442, greater than the t-table of 1,895 with a Sig. value. (2-tailed) = 0.040 < 0.05. This means that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of group counseling services with cognitive disputation techniques in reducing public speaking anxiety in class X students of Madrasah Aliyah Proyek UNIVA Medan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the influence of transformational leadership and organizational justice on employee job satisfaction at PT. PLN (Persero) UPT Simpang Empat. This research was conducted on employees at PLN (Persero) UPT Simpang Empat. This study is an associative study using a quantitative approach. The sample size for this study was 85 employees using a saturated sampling technique, a sampling technique where all members of the population are used as samples. This is often done when the population is relatively small, less than 100 people. The data analysis methods used in this study were validity and reliability tests, descriptive variable analysis, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that 1) transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, 2) organizational justice had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, 3) leadership and organizational justice had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of swimming activities on the development of balance and motor coordination in early childhood at SDK Marsudirini, Jembrana Regency. The research method used was quasi-experiment with *non-equivalent control group* design. The sample consisted of 42 early childhood students, which were divided into experimental groups (n = 21) and control groups (n = 21). The research instruments were balance and motor coordination tests conducted at pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The results of the paired t-test showed significant improvement in the experimental group in both aspects of balance (pre-test: 12.3 ± 1.8; post-test: 17.8 ± 2.0; p = 0.000) and motor coordination (pre-test: 14.5 ± 2.1; post-test: 19.6 ± 2.4; p = 0.000). In contrast, the control group showed no significant changes in either aspect. The independent t-test also showed significant differences between the experimental and control groups in the post-test results of balance (p = 0.000) and coordination (p = 0.000). These findings confirm that swimming activities can significantly improve balance and motor coordination in early childhood, so it can be used as one of the recommended educational approaches in children's physical education programs.

Abstract

This research examines the influence of leadership, training, and work motivation on employee capabilities at PT. XYZ, a palm oil plantation company post-acquisition, to address the suboptimal employee capabilities. This study uses an explanatory quantitative approach, collecting data from a sample of 100 permanent employees of PT. XYZ in several provinces in Indonesia. Data was obtained through a validated Likert scale questionnaire that was tested for reliability, then analyzed using SPSS for descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the analysis indicate that individually, leadership and work motivation have a positive and significant impact on employee capabilities. However, training shows a significant negative impact that is unexpected, possibly due to a lack of relevance or ineffectiveness. Importantly, the combined influence of leadership, training, and work motivation simultaneously has a significant positive impact on employee capabilities, explaining 43.5% of the variance. This study concludes that, although leadership and motivation are positive and training shows a negative individual effect, the synergistic impact of these three factors significantly enhances employee capabilities at PT. XYZ, underscoring the importance of integrated human resource strategies in a dynamic organizational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of traditional hadang sports games in physical education learning and their influence on the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of students. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a peer teaching model and the JWAB (Total Active Learning Time) instrument. The research subjects were 29 seventh-grade students at SMP IT Najib Rasyid. Data were collected through pre-tests, post-tests, observations, and documentation, and then analyzed using triangulation of sources, time, and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of traditional hadang games can gradually improve cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills from the pre-cycle, cycle I, to cycle II. The improvements achieved were significant, with 100% of students able to understand and master the game techniques as instructed. These findings indicate that traditional hadang games are not only effective in improving motor skills but also foster cooperation, sportsmanship, and active student engagement in learning. Thus, traditional hadang games can serve as an alternative strategy for physical education that is both enjoyable and supportive of children's social skill development.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the forms and characteristics of makeup, clothing, and accessories for modified brides from Koto Gadang, West Sumatra. The background of the research is based on the phenomenon of changes in traditional bridal makeup into modifications that combine cultural elements with modern trends, thus generating both pros and cons among the community. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants include bundo kanduang, makeup artists, and bridal clothing rental business owners in Nagari Koto Gadang. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, decision making, and verification. The research results show that the modified bridal makeup of Koto Gadang has undergone a transformation from a bold style with bright colors to soft, natural, and flawless makeup using modern techniques such as cut crease, ombre lips, and fiber eyebrow shaping. The modified attire still retains traditional elements such as tilakuang, kodek, and salendang, but is presented in soft colors, with the addition of sequins and the use of kebaya. The modified bridal accessories still follow the typical Koto Gadang form but are used more selectively and many are made from lighter and more affordable alternative materials. The study concludes that the modification of bridal makeup in Koto Gadang is a form of adaptation to the times that still preserves cultural identity, although it potentially reduces the symbolic meaning of traditional forms.

Abstract

This study aims to implement web-based interactive learning media using Articulate Storyline 360 in the Visual Communication Design (VCD) subject at SMK Negeri 1 Luragung and to assess its effectiveness on learning outcomes. The method applied was a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest–posttest model, involving 34 tenth-grade VCD students selected through purposive sampling. Instruments included learning achievement tests (pretest and posttest) and validation questionnaires from material and media experts. The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed an increase in the average score from 45.2 to 66.6. The paired sample t-test at a 5% significance level indicated Sig. < 0.05, signifying a significant difference before and after treatment. Expert validations categorized the media as “very feasible.” The media was found effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in VCD.

Abstract

This research is based on the low learning outcomes of students in listening skills. Students tend to look bored and passive while listening to the learning process. The lack of concentration of students when listening to learning is one of the obstacles in achieving optimal learning outcomes. This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of students in listening skills through the Bamboo Dancing model. This research is Class Action Research (PTK) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Research is carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 28 class IV students. The results of the study showed an increase in the aspect of the teaching module of cycle I with an average of 87,46 %, and an increase in cycle II with an average of 91,67 % very good (SB). In terms of teacher activity cycle I with an average of 90,62% very good (SB), and increased in cycle II with an average of 93,75% very good (SB). In the aspect of student activity in cycle I with an average of 85.94 good (B), and increased in cycle II 93.75 very good (SB). As well as the learning results of students in cycle I with an average of 78.05% enough (C), and increased in cycle II 91.78 very good (SB). Based on the data, it can be concluded that by using the Bamboo Dancing learning model, the learning outcomes of students in class IV of SDN 3 Padang Panjang Barat can be improved
