Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine students' mathematical numeracy literacy skills in matrix material in terms of the self-efficacy of class XI IPA 3 SMA Negeri 1 Simpang Hilir, totaling 28 students. Of the 28 students, they will be categorized based on each student's abilities. This research began by providing a self-efficacy questionnaire, a test of numeracy literacy skills, and interviews to categorize students' ability levels. After this, it was continued with analyzing and categorizing based on self-efficacy and level of numeracy literacy skills to determine the research subjects who would be interviewed by selecting 9 subjects. The results of the research concluded that students who have high self-efficacy meet 3 indicators, namely using various kinds of numbers and symbols related to basic mathematics to solve problems in various contexts of daily life, analyzing information displayed in various forms (graphs, tables, sections, diagrams, and so on), and interpret the results of the analysis to predict and make decisions. Students who have moderate self-efficacy meet 2 indicators, namely using various kinds of numbers and symbols related to basic mathematics to solve problems in various contexts of daily life, analyzing information displayed in various forms (graphs, tables, sections, diagrams, etc). Students who have low self-efficacy only meet 1 indicator, namely using a wide variety of numbers and symbols related to basic mathematics to solve problems in various contexts of daily life.

Abstract

Social Studies education in Indonesia has emerged and evolved through several changes in accordance with the conditions of the Indonesian nation. The aim of this research is to understand the development of Social Studies learning at the Elementary School level from its inception until now. This research utilizes qualitative analysis techniques. Qualitative analysis is a data analysis process that does not involve numerical data, and generally, the results of qualitative analysis are subjective. The data collection method involves a literature review, where data is gathered by reading and analyzing literature that has been found and studied by other researchers. There are four stages of literature review in the research process: preparing the necessary tools, compiling a bibliography, organizing time, and reading or recording research materials. The literature obtained from various references is critically and deeply analyzed to support propositions and ideas. The results of data analysis indicate that the current development of Social Studies learning in Indonesia is not similar to the early introduction of Social Studies education in the country. The field of Social Studies entered Indonesia from the United States, where it is known as social studies. America is considered one of the countries with extensive experience and significant academic reputation in the field of Social Sciences

Abstract

Lembang is a notable regional tourism destination that bears considerable significance within the urban area of Bandung. Lembang is widely recognized for its flourishing agricultural sector, which supports a significant community of farmers engaged in the cultivation of fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants, in addition to its intrinsic scenic beauty. Therefore, the acquisition of precipitation data is of considerable significance for individuals live in the area to maintain their economic endeavors. This study employs daily historical data from the period of 2018 to 2021, wherein approximately 70% of the data is categorized as sparse. This discourse aims to examine the utilization of the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGboost) technique for predicting rainfall in the Lembang region, specifically emphasizing its effectiveness in handling limited data. The findings indicate that the model, when trained and tested using a 7:3 data split ratio, achieved a mean absolute error (MAE) of 1.834 for training and 4.473 for testing. Additionally, the root mean square error (RMSE) was calculated to be 3.319 for training and 7.637 for testing. The optimal hyperparameters consist of a learning rate of 0.005, a max_depth value of 10, and the utilization of 300 decision trees as n_estimators. The model effectively captures the pattern of sparse time series data and non-rainy days data, as evidenced by its low error metrics. However, it slightly underestimates the rainfall rate on the days with intense precipitation

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the results of the application of Blended Learning which refers to the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model. Blended Learning and PjBL can be packaged as a learning model, namely Project-Based Blended Learning (PjB2L). The design of learning activities with the help of Bina Sarana Informatika University elearning online media (MyBest) is used to measure its impact on student learning outcomes in Statistics courses. The focus of this study describes two main things, namely the description of the application of statistics lectures with the PjB2L model and the results of statistical tests regarding differences in learning outcomes obtained. Quasi-experimental research was designed to measure the comparison of student learning outcomes in experimental classes (with the PjB2L model) and control classes (conventional/blended direct learning). The 100 students involved in this study were divided into two classes, namely the control class which included 50 students and the experimental class which involved 50 students. In addition, in the data analysis technique, analysis of covariance (ANACOVA) was used to compare the results of the control group and the experimental group, with the covariance variable being the pre-test result (initial knowledge). The results showed significant differences. The difference shown in this study leads to the support of better learning outcomes of the experimental group
