Abstract

This study investigates how interactive learning media can help students in sixth grade elementary school understand puberty. Puberty, which is an important phase in a child's development, is very important to have a good understanding of the physical and emotional changes that occur. To gain a better understanding of students' experiences and perceptions when using interactive learning media, subjective qualitative research with a phenomenological approach was used. Data was collected through active observation during the learning process and comprehensive interviews with sixth grade students at an elementary school. The focus of the interviews was students' experiences when using interactive learning media and how this impacted their understanding of puberty. Thematic analysis was used to analyze the data to find main themes from the interview and observation data. The research results showed that interactive learning helped students understand puberty. Through interesting visual and audio media, students find it easier to understand the material presented. Because there are interactive elements that make learning more fun, they feel more motivated and interested in learning. Compared with conventional learning approaches, some students prefer to discuss sensitive topics about puberty through interactive media. This research found that interactive learning tools can help sixth grade students understand puberty. It is recommended that schools incorporate interactive learning media into their curriculum

Abstract

This research focuses on the creation of game design "Nareswari: The Adventure of Learning Sundanese Script," a two-dimensional platformer game designed to teach the Sundanese language's characters. The main goal is to provide an interactive and engaging learning experience, enabling players to not only learn the Sundanese script but also to discover aspects of Sundanese culture and language. Qualitative research methods were used, with Teenagers as the primary subjects in their role as players. Data collection methods included in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Visual communication in games is crucial for effectiveness, with visual elements like characters, backgrounds, and interfaces capturing attention and imparting knowledge about Sundanese culture. The use of colors, shapes, and typography in visual elements helps create an effective learning environment conducive to knowledge acquisition. The game's development followed the ADDIE model to improve learning quality. The analysis phase provided a thorough understanding of learning objectives, user needs, and game context, while the design was narrative-driven, focusing on character experiences. The ADDIE model provides a framework for the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation phases of the game Nareswari: The Adventure of Learning Sundanese Script.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is a learning assessment activity that trains students' higher order thinking skills. This is because there are no questions specifically designed to train students' higher-level thinking and the questions used by teachers in learning assessment activities are still in the types of remembering (C1), understanding (C2), and applying (C3) questions. This research aims to develop high-level thinking ability test questions that meet the requirements of question validity, reliability, and question accuracy. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) which uses the ADDIE model with five stages, namely analysis, planning, development, and evaluation. The subject of this study is a student of class X of MAS Islamiyah Tamiang. The instruments used in this study are questionnaire response and interview instruments. The data analysis techniques used are construct validity, reliability, and practicality tests. Based on the results of the analysis obtained at the implementation stage, test questions were produced in accordance with the criteria that had been set, namely meeting valid, reliable and practical criteria used to find out the results of students' abilities during learning activities, judging from the results of the validity test categorized as valid categories. The reliability test results have a value of 0.863 including with a very high category, an average difficulty test result of 0.65 whose difficulty level has good quality and an average discriminating power test result of 0.58 with good ability and a practicality test of 82% with a very practical category
