Abstract

This study aims to achieve two main things simultaneously, namely formulating an intercropping cultivation technique so as to increase the income of Hevea farmers and contribute hevea plantations to independent food supply. The method used in this research is a field research design. Planting Hevea with 1 clone, namely PB 260, combined with 6 rice varieties, namely Impago 7.Rindang I, Rindang 2, Sibundong, Hamparan Perak and MSP 17. with 3 replications. Each variety was planted in 1 x 1m plots, in 3 year old Hevea plantations. The goal to be achieved in this research is to obtain a technology package based on Hevea cultivation to optimize growth and indicate varieties that are resistant to shade. in the long run, this research encourages the importance of finding shade tolerant varieties. On the other hand, the development of this research plot will encourage other intercropping studies, namely Hevea with coffee and cocoa plantations so that in the long term it is profitable for Hevea farmers and adds value to the concept of agricultural agroecology. From a growth perspective, the varieties Rindang 1 and 2 and Hamparan Perak have the potential to be cultivated on Hevea TBMs aged 3 years.

Abstract

Extant studies have established that Nigeria has lost its place as the global largest producer of palm oil. However, there seems to be a dearth of studies on how the socioeconomic variables of producers affect palm oil production. Consequently, this study analysed the socioeconomic determinants of palm oil production in Igbo Etiti Local Government Area (LGA) in Enugu State, Nigeria. Combinations of multi-stage random and purposive sampling procedures were used to select 120 small-scale palm oil producers. The data collected using a structured questionnaire was analysed with the aid of descriptive statistics of mean, frequency and percentage, and inferential statistical tools of OLS regression and principal component factor analysis. The results reveal that more women (74.2%) dominated palm oil production in the area. The age bracket of most (41.7 %) palm oil producers was between 46-65 years. The overwhelming proportion (70.8%) of the respondents were married with 50.8 percent of them having a household size of between 1-4 persons. The educational level attained by most of the respondents (70.8%) was primary education. 62.5 percent of the respondents had been involved in palm oil production for over 10 years. While the overwhelming proportion (80.8%) of the respondents were not members of cooperative societies. The study found age, education attainment, household size, farming experience, income, and extension contact as the socioeconomic determinants of palm oil production. The study identified financial and institutional factors as the principal factors and constraints to palm oil production in Igbo Etiti LGA of Enugu State. The study concludes that these variables are critical to improving the output of palm oil production in the area. Thus, this should form part of the critical issues to be included in any policy development that targets improvement in palm oil production.

Abstract

Strategy is a tool to achieve objectives. Marketing is a process influenced by various social, cultural, political, economic, and managerial factors. There are three systematic marketing strategy steps, starting with market segmentation strategy, target market determination strategy, and market positioning strategy. The marketing mix also includes marketing strategies, comprising four crucial points: product, price, place, and promotion. The purpose of this research is to analyze marketing strategies in increasing product sales at Lakita Cell in the city of Makassar. This study adopts a qualitative research design. Primary and secondary data sources are utilized for data collection. Data collection techniques consist of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involves three stages: data collection, data analysis, and decision-making. The research findings indicate that segmentation influences sales levels due to varying network quality in each area, while targeting does not significantly affect profits as sales levels fluctuate. Positioning has a significant impact on sales, profits, and company growth as Lakita Cell not only focuses on internet voucher sales but also provides services like interbank ATM transfers, digital money top-ups, and various types of mobile phone and electronic device essentials.

Abstract

PT. Tri Erdnov Rezeki is a national private company founded in 2016 and fully under the leadership and ownership of Indonesian entrepreneurs. PT. Tri Erdnov Rezeki is also engaged in Construction Development Planning and Repair and Maintenance of Steam Aircraft and Pressure Vessels, Supply of Technical Equipment, Industrial Work Equipment, Electrical Equipment, and Machinery, especially in the Palm Oil Plantation and Power Plant Sectors. In carrying out a project, the company does not only carry out technical design but also must carry out the economic design so that the company can determine the economic feasibility of a project. However, companies often experience cost calculation errors. Data science can be utilized to predict the value achieved in a period using previous data. Data science will analyze patterns related to data with other data to produce a reference or a formula that can be used as a value prediction in the future. So, the author will use the multiple linear regression method using the Python programming language, which functions to perform statistical analysis, namely predicting profits in a project. The analysis results in this study show that the profit variable is influenced by 99.7% by the variables material cost, labor cost, and utility cost. In comparison, other variables outside the study influence the other 0.3%. The material cost variable has the most significant influence, where the value is below 0 .05 compared to the variable labor cost and utility cost to the profit variable. The average percentage of Python prediction errors is 0.97%, where the average percentage of Python prediction errors is smaller than the average percentage of SPSS prediction errors which is 2.04%.
