Abstract

Vocational education, Indonesia plans to build more vocational schools to cater to the growing labour market for skill worker, particularly in transportations sector, agriculture, fisheries and animal industry, also another private sectors. Refer to Undang Undang. No. 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional and Peraturan Pemeritah No. 17 Tahun 2010 tentang Pengelolaan dan Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan. In Indonesia, Education system is divided between vocational path, academic path and professional path. A vocational school, sometimes called vocational college Vocational college are traditionally focus on job-specific training, who are typically bound for one of skill, rather than providing academic training for pursuing careers in a professional dicipline. Vocational education cover program of diploma 1, diploma 2, diploma 3 and diploma 4. After attend the lecture get title : Ahli Pratama (AP); Ahli Muda (A.Ma); Ahli Madya A.Md) and Sarjana Sain Terapan (S.SiT). Vocational education, hard skill of motoric are obliged to become curriculum in the form of Iesson of functional skill. Another side efficiency of motoric through subject of market oriented approach. Generally, vocational education system of in Indonesia had not balance yet between hard skill with personality attitude ( soft skill). Almost company in this time, need human resource having prime technical skill, ready for use and good personality attitutde.

Abstract

Bandar Udara I Gusti Ngurah Rai – Bali, memiliki 10 tiang lampu floodlight pada apron selatan dan 4 tiang pada parkir domestik. Lampu floodlight yang dimaksud adalah tiang lampu yang berjenis High Mast. Tiang lampu High Mast merupakan tiang lampu yang menggunakan motor induksi untuk menurunkan-menaikan bracket lamp. Namun, dikarenakan posisi letak bandar udara yang berada di pantai dan sangat berdekatan dengan laut sehingga terjadi perkaratan mengakibatkan kerusakan pada motor induksi tersebut. Dalam hal ini, penulis akan menggunakan sistem kontrol yang bersifat portable. Dimaksudkan portable karena motor dan kontrol hanya digunakan apabila akan dilaksanakan perbaikan atau penggantian lampu dan komponen pendukung lampu pada suatu tiang High Mast. Rangkaian portable ini juga dirancang sistem kontrol wireless agar mengacu pada keselamatan teknisi. Sistem wireless yang digunakan adalah dengan remote control infra merah, yang akan mengendalikan kontrol motor induksi reverse forward dengan jarak ±10 meter.

Abstract

Airside Inspection Vehicle is a vehicle designed by cadets of Airport Mechanical Engineering 6 from the vehicle tossa three wheels become the four wheel. The component of vehicle has never been done tested. A strength testing of wheel material against static working load is calculated using static structural and force theory and then compared by using software R17.0 Ansys Workbench. The tested area are flange and hub diameter. The vehicle load of 500 kg, the stress that occurs at flange using theoretical is 0,382 MPa and count software is 0,0002 MPa while stress that happen at hub diameter area is 10,74 MPa and count software is 18,671 with allowable stress of 110 MPa. The Result showed that the stress occurs at the velg considered safe.

Abstract

Air conditioning is effort to give comfort and freshness. Air conditioning is needed to absorb heat from a room and to create comfort environment in a room. Air Conditioning (AC) Split Duct is used to create comfort environment that AC Split Duct can supply fresh air into the room that needed it. Fresh air supplied to circulating the air in the room to keep quality of air in the room. Source of polluter can be from inside of the room or outside. Polluted air from the room discarded through return then to exhaust duct while polluted air from outside of the room strained through filter media. Conditioned Air by AC Split Duct distributed through supply duct to the room. Conditioned air enter the from via diffuser. Air in the room exit through return grill then some of returned air circulated back to AC Split Duct and the rest exit through exhaust duct. This design will tested through software, Ansys CFX. Ducting system and Simulation of Air Conditioning Process in the Dining Room at Tower-II Dormitory will be tested.

Abstract

Recently, Kualanamu International Airport – Medan has 12 units grease trap. The function of grease trap is filtering the fat which is produced by stainless and filtering the oil, fat and rubbish fom the toilet and restaurant in the terminal of the airport. So far, in order to filter the rubbish, garbage and fat from grease trap in the terminal is using manual technique. The technician hires contractor to move the garbage, rubbish and fat by using bucket into pick-up car then throws into Sump Pit. If they ignore all of this steps, it can cause bad smell around the airport.

Abstract

Indonesian Civil Aviation Institute (ICAI) is one college official who is under the Ministry of Transportation. In carrying out its duties and functions, STPI has four educational Training Division, namely: Pilot Training Division, Aviation Engineering Training Division, Aviation Safety and Flight Management Training Division. Aviation Engineering Training Division has five courses, one of which is the Telecommunications Engineering Program and Air Navigation (TNU). Technological developments in the world aviation industry is advancing very rapidly. Recent developments in navigation and communication technology, data link between the aircraft and ground control station are available is the Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B). ADS-B is a way in which aircraft can automatically send or receive data such as identification, position and other data in the form of broadcast (broadcast) via data link. Antenna is one of the important components in every electronic equipment transmitter and receiver. Similarly, in the ADS-B receiver equipment. Determining the type of antenna used must have the same properties as the channel pencatunya. Antennas on ADS-B receiver equipment only as recipients of the signals sent by air from all directions, the antenna used is a type of omnidirectional antenna. ADS-B receiver antenna has a monopole shape, with the working frequency of ADS-B equipment on 1090 MHz. In order to maximize the understanding of cadets and can figure out how to design an antenna that can be applied to the ADS-B receiver equipment, it needs to be made an antenna design that can be used to support the practical activities of cadets. Cadets can practice direct measurement of the antenna and see the antenna radiation pattern using the equipment in the lab Telecommunication Engineering Program and Air Navigation.

Abstract

The aim of this research to know Localizer already standardized and whether the impact for aviation safety arising when localizer not working. This research was conducted at Perum LPPNPI Distrik Batam. Research methods used is descriptive and data collection methods are documentation, field observations, interviews and library studies.
