Unram Journal of Community Services (UJCS) is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Postgraduate Mataram University, Indonesia. It is at the national level that covers a lot of common problems or issues related to community services. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. It contains various activities of the teaching staff in Mataram University and other University in handling and managing the various potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems that exist in society. Implementation of service activities also involves the participation of the community and partners. Service activities are organized into an activity aimed at improving the welfare of society. Any interested authors could submit their manuscripts in English or Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

MSMEs in Sidoarjo Regency are now increasingly competitive thanks to TikTok Shop optimization training as a digital marketing tactic. The purpose of this program is to increase sales conversion rates, promote MSME products online, and improve MSME participants' digital literacy in using the TikTok Shop e-commerce platform. The three main phases of training include registering for TikTok Shop, optimizing product uploads, and practicing digital marketing tactics. Based on the training findings, 90% of participants succeeded in optimizing product uploads, 80% succeeded in implementing efficient digital marketing methods, and 100% of participants succeeded in creating TikTok Shop accounts. When compared to previously using TikTok Shop, the majority of MSMEs experienced an increase in turnover of 50% to 100%, and some business actors even reported an increase in turnover of more than 100%. Through multi-platform marketing integration, this program has succeeded in helping MSMEs increase their product visibility, despite obstacles in creating attractive content and optimizing product keywords. The TikTok Shop platform's ability to reach the MSME market in the digital era is shown by an average product population growth of 70%.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sidoarjo Regency face various challenges in business development, particularly concerning product packaging and design. This study aims to enhance MSME owners’ understanding of product design and packaging, provide education on packaging selection strategies, and develop product competitiveness through attractive packaging designs. The method employed is a direct training approach, beginning with socialization through the Cooperative Office’s social media, participant selection, face-to-face training implementation, and post-activity evaluation. The training was attended by 30 selected MSME owners and czonducted on November 28, 2024, in the meeting room of the Sidoarjo Regency Industry and Trade Office. The training results indicate that participants have acquired basic knowledge about product packaging and design, although still limited to its fundamental functions. Participants also gained a deeper understanding of the importance of product taste consistency in building customer loyalty and facilitating business management. This activity makes a significant contribution to improving MSME owners’ knowledge of product packaging strategies and quality enhancement to increase competitiveness in the local market. For the future, it is expected that similar training can be held with a broader scope of materials and reach more MSME owners

Abstract

One of the most important factors in a healthy private financial study is literacy, especially among Indonesian people who still have a low level of understanding. The purpose of this study is to increase public awareness of financial literacy through mental education which is considered capable of improving the ongoing economic conditions. The methods used are seminars and canvas campaigns to provide information about financial literacy and the value of insurance for children. The results of the program show that there is an increase in student awareness, especially among college students, about the importance of risk assessment and risk mitigation through insurance. In addition, many people who are just starting out believe that insurance for children serves as protection and investment. The summary of this activity shows that effective education can increase public awareness and understanding of financial literacy.

Abstract

This community service initiative focuses on enhancing digital literacy among teachers at SDN Semongkat, Sumbawa Regency, in an effort to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in remote areas. The program was executed through a series of workshops and intensive mentoring sessions on the utilization of learning applications such as Canva, Google Classroom, Quizizz, and Kahoot. The implementation method comprised three main stages: preparation, execution (consisting of socialization, training, and mentoring), and evaluation. The outcomes of the service demonstrated a significant improvement in teachers' abilities to use and integrate digital applications into their teaching practices. The primary challenge of infrastructure limitations was addressed through adaptive learning strategies. This program successfully enhanced the quality of learning at SDN Semongkat and fostered a digital-based professional learning community among teachers. This community service initiative made a tangible contribution to bridging the digital divide in remote areas and effectively supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Indonesia encourages educators to be more creative and innovative in preparing teaching modules. Especially in areas with a wealth of local wisdom such as the Sumbawa highlands, the integration of local values ​​into the learning process is very important to create meaningful and holistic learning. However, the lack of teacher skills in designing teaching modules that are interesting, interactive and appropriate to student characteristics is a problem that needs to be resolved. This service activity aims to provide training to teachers in using digital technology to develop teaching modules based on local wisdom. The method used in this service is carried out in a structured manner with training and mentoring activities. The procedural stages of the activities are carried out in several stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. Participants in this training consisted of 18 teachers at SMPN 4 SATAP Moyo Hulu. The results of this service activity showed that the pretest and posttest results given to teachers went from 61% to 85%, there was an increase in teacher knowledge by 24%. Participants arrived on time and participated in the activities 85% fully. The results of the task of preparing teaching modules based on local wisdom collected were 85%. From the community service activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the activities have been effective, seen from the participants' increased knowledge in preparing local wisdom-based teaching modules in the independent curriculum and their skills in designing local wisdom-based teaching modules have increased.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in regional economic development, yet many MSME owners lack a Business Identification Number (NIB). This community service aimed to enhance business legality and competitiveness through NIB registration assistance in Simoangin-angin Village, Wonoayu, as part of the BPS Statistics Office's Desa Cantik (Statistics-Loving Village) program. The methods used were socialization and assistance, both in-person and online. The program involved 80 micro-business owners, resulting in 12 NIBs created during direct assistance and 28 NIBs through online assistance. Main obstacles included technological limitations and lack of response in online processes. The program successfully increased MSME owners' understanding of NIB importance and statistical literacy, while providing broader access to business development opportunities

Abstract

The influence of someone's interest in using Life Insurance as their strategy in financial planning. Through this writing, it shows that a person has pros and cons in using life insurance. The quality of products and services, the skill and appeal of insurance agents in describing the advantages of their products, and the degree of money a person has directly affects their capacity to afford insurance products are all factors that affect their use of life insurance. The results show that the level of service of the insurance product, as well as the attractiveness of the agent, are things that influence a potential customer to want to use a Life Insurance product. By doing this, it is believed that one can gain a better grasp of financial planning and be able to develop strategies for it.

Abstract

Kampung Kita Kampung Tematik Program is a program of the local government of Tangerang City to alleviate slum areas and empower the community through the utilization of regional potential. The Kampung Kita Thematic Village Program aims to create a creative, innovative, and harmonious community through economic, environmental, and social approaches based on the characteristics of each village area. This research examines what stages are carried out before the implementation of the program by highlighting the planning stage and what programs are contained in Kampung Mangga. Based on the results of interviews conducted in Kampung Mangga in Tangerang City, the community felt the positive impact of the Kampung Kita Thematic Village program because it could increase community participation in several activities in the village. The results of the interviews showed that this program succeeded in increasing community participation in environmental development, strengthening community harmony, and creating new economic opportunities through the management of educational tourism.

Abstract

This service program focuses on empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the MMS Pogalan area by BTPN Syariah. The aim of the activity is to identify the implementation of mentoring programs, analyze supporting and inhibiting factors, and provide an impact on customer business development. The method implemented is carried out through direct training and socialization using interview techniques, using SWOT analysis to share the potential and challenges of MSMEs. Mentoring is carried out over four sessions, with each session lasting one month and four meetings. The results of the service show a significant impact on various aspects of the business. Economically, there is an increase in turnover with the expansion of the marketing reach. The managerial aspect has undergone a transformation with the ability of MSME players to carry out simple bookkeeping, separate personal and business finances, and make sustainable financial plans. Branding and marketing are developing with the creation of brand identities and the use of social media for promotions. The most basic psychological and social impact is increasing the self-confidence, motivation and adaptability of business actors. Even though it can overcome limited resources and traditional cultural barriers, the BTPN Syariah mentoring program proves that empowering MSMEs requires a comprehensive approach that goes beyond just financial assistance, covering managerial, psychological and socio-economic aspects.

Abstract

The mentoring program for BTPN Syariah customers through the Mobile Marketing Syariah approach in Pengasih District aims to enhance the economic capacity of productive underprivileged communities. This program adopts the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) method, focusing on identifying and leveraging community assets to promote Sharia-based economic empowerment. The results demonstrate improvements in financial management skills, including the ability to separate business and personal finances. Additionally, there is an increase in customers’ confidence, accompanied by the adoption of simple technologies such as digital financial recording applications and e-commerce platforms. In the marketing aspect, customers successfully expanded their market reach to broader levels. The program also fostered the creation of sustainable community support systems, such as profit-sharing schemes within business groups. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and technology access remain and require collaborative solutions. Continued mentoring and capacity building for facilitators are expected to strengthen the positive impact of this program, supporting holistic and sustainable empowerment of underprivileged communities
