Abstract

This study aims to analyze investor behavior in adopting trading robots by highlighting the role of initial trust and social influence on behavioral intention. The urgency of this research lies in the rapid growth of robo-advisor services in Indonesia, which still faces challenges such as low financial literacy and weak initial investor trust, while investment decisions are often influenced by social opinions. The study population includes individuals aged 17–59 years who use trading robots, with a total of 167 respondents obtained through an online questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using a quantitative method with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM–PLS). The results indicate that social influence has a significant effect on both initial trust and behavioral intention. In addition, initial trust positively influences behavioral intention and serves as a mediator in the relationship between social influence and behavioral intention. Meanwhile, the age variable does not moderate the relationship between initial trust and behavioral intention. These findings emphasize that initial trust is a key factor in shaping investors’ intentions to adopt trading robots. Therefore, service development strategies should focus on strengthening trust from the early stages of user interaction and enhancing social influence through education, testimonials, and community engagement.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of coping strategies on psychological well-being among employees of PT. Nutrindo Freshfood Internasional using a quantitative approach with 158 respondents from a population of 288 employees. Coping strategies comprise three main aspects: problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, and less useful coping, measured via modified Brief COPE and Ryff scales. Simple linear regression analysis reveals a significant positive effect of overall coping strategies on psychological well-being (regression coefficient 0.416; sig. 0.002 < 0.05), contributing 5.9%. In detail, problem-focused coping provides the largest contribution (22.5%; β=2.142; sig. 0.000), followed by emotion-focused coping (4.1%; β=0.634; sig. 0.011), while less useful coping is insignificant (0.8%; β=-0.369; sig. 0.256). Data satisfy normality (sig. 0.200) and linearity tests (sig. 0.712), with respondents dominated by females (65.2%) and ages 26-35 (40.5%). These findings underscore the role of problem-focused coping in enhancing psychological well-being in workplaces, aligning with prior studies like Rachmawati & Siregar (2021). Recommendations include problem-solving training for employees and future research incorporating moderators.

Abstract

Imposter syndrome is a mental state marked by self-doubt and feelings of inadequacy about one's accomplishments, commonly encountered by students when navigating the academic, social, emotional, and institutional challenges of college life. The ability to adjust to college, known as college adjustment, is deemed a crucial element that can influence the occurrence of this condition. This research seeks to investigate how college adjustment impacts the experience of imposter syndrome among students in the Faculty of Education and Psychology at Manado State University. Employing a quantitative approach, this study uses simple linear regression analysis. The study involves 245 active students from the Faculty of Education and Psychology, selected through incidental sampling which means respondents were chosen based on their availability and willingness during data collection. The research tools include a college adjustment scale assessing academic, social, personal emotional, and institutional adaptation, alongside an imposter syndrome scale evaluating self-doubt, attributing success to luck, and the tendency to minimize achievements. The data analysis methods consist of prerequisite tests and hypothesis testing via simple linear regression analysis. Findings indicate that hypothesis H1 is supported, revealing a significant impact of college adjustment on imposter syndrome with a significance level of 0.001 (p = 0.001) and a regression coefficient of -0.224 (β = -0.224), signifying a negative and significant influence of college adjustment on imposter syndrome. The determination coefficient is 0.052, suggesting that the college adjustment variable accounts for 5.2% of the variations in imposter syndrome. Consequently, these outcomes demonstrate that the better students are able to adjust to college, the less likely they are to experience imposter syndrome, and vice versa.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of job satisfaction, work discipline, and work motivation on employee productivity at PT. Urecel Indonesia, a polyurethane foam manufacturer facing productivity fluctuations post-COVID-19. Using a quantitative survey method, data were gathered via Likert-scale questionnaires from 139 slovin sampled employees out of 160, analyzed through Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression via SmartPLS 4. Findings indicate all variables significantly affect productivity: job satisfaction (β=0.236, p<0.001), work discipline (β=0.252, p=0.013), and work motivation (β=0.401, p<0.001), with motivation dominant (R²=0.543). Work motivation explains the most variance, underscoring its primacy in manufacturing contexts. This research provides empirical evidence from Indonesia's sector, recommending firms prioritize motivation enhancement, alongside discipline and satisfaction, for optimal output and sustained performance.

Abstract

This study seeks to identify and evaluate the practice of collaborative governance within the public–private partnership between the East Java Provincial Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) and PT Sarana Tirta Abadi in the management of outsourced personnel. Employing a qualitative approach that integrates in-depth interviews, field observations, and analysis of contractual and administrative documents, this research examines the dynamics of collaboration using the four dimensions of the Ansell and Gash model: starting conditions, institutional design, collaborative process, and facilitative leadership. The findings indicate that interactions between the actors remain framed by hierarchical authority structures, thereby limiting the private partner’s participation in policy formulation, performance monitoring, and operational strategy development. Power imbalances, non-deliberative institutional arrangements, and weak collaborative communication further hinder the formation of effective joint action. Based on these results, the study recommends the development of shared operational guidelines—including Joint Performance Indicators and a Service Level Agreement—the establishment of inclusive and periodic evaluation forums, and the strengthening of facilitative leadership as essential elements for fostering a more equitable, adaptive, and sustainable model of collaborative governance in managing outsourced personnel within regional government institutions.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and the widespread use of social media, particularly TikTok, have transformed students’ interaction patterns and learning behaviors. TikTok is not only used as a source of entertainment but can also trigger addictive tendencies that may negatively impact academic activities, including academic procrastination. This study aims to examine the relationship between the tendency toward TikTok social media addiction and academic procrastination among students of the Faculty of Education and Psychology at Manado State University. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational method. From a population of 2,554 students, a total of 245 respondents were obtained through purposive sampling. The instruments used were the Social Media Addiction Scale–Student Form to measure TikTok social media addiction (α = 0.970) and the Multidimensional Academic Procrastination Scale to measure academic procrastination (α = 0.920). Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and simple linear regression through SPSS version 25. The findings indicate a positive and significant relationship between TikTok addiction and academic procrastination (r = 0.566; p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.321) shows that 32.1% of the variation in academic procrastination is influenced by the level of TikTok addiction, while the remaining 67.9% is affected by other factors. These results suggest that the higher the level of TikTok addiction, the greater the tendency for students to delay academic tasks. This study highlights the importance of managing social media usage, strengthening digital literacy education, and applying healthy learning strategies to prevent the negative impacts of social media addiction. The results are expected to serve as a reference for educational institutions in designing interventions that support students’ well-being and academic performance in the digital era.

Abstract

This research examines effective classroom management models supporting 21st-century learning in primary schools, particularly within the Merdeka Curriculum implementation context. The study addresses the significant gap between learning theories and classroom practice, compounded by infrastructure limitations. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research involved observations and interviews with five students, five teachers, one principal, and five community members from SDN Dawuan 1 through purposive sampling. Data analysis employed thematic analysis following Braun and Clarke's methodology, with triangulation and member checking for credibility. Results demonstrate that SDN Dawuan 1 successfully transformed teacher-centered learning toward student-centered approaches, implementing diverse and flexible classroom management strategies. Teachers developed varied instructional methods including group discussions, project-based learning, and video utilization to enhance student engagement. Despite lacking physical facilities, teachers creatively integrated simple technologies like projectors and laptops as substitutes. Significantly, the study found that teacher pedagogical competence, visionary school leadership, and supportive learning environments are more determinant factors in achieving effective learning than physical infrastructure alone. The research concludes that comprehensive classroom management effectively supports 21st-century skill development through collaborative activities, problem-solving, and creative exploration, establishing that synergy among teacher competence, school policy, and learning environment quality are critical for educational success.

Abstract

The mechanism for determining salary increases for House of Representatives members in Indonesia raises public debate amid 2025 economic pressures, highlighting issues in state administrative law compliance and constitutional system balance. This study aims to analyze the mechanism from state administrative law perspectives, its linkage to Indonesia's constitutional system, and general principles of good governance application. Employing a normative juridical approach with qualitative methods, the population comprises relevant legal norms including UUD 1945 and UU MD3, while purposive sampling selects key regulations, doctrines, and court decisions. Instruments include primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources, analyzed through systematic interpretation, legal reasoning, and normative synthesis. Findings reveal that salary adjustments require executive coordination via Ministry of Finance and Presidential approval to meet legality, accountability, proportionality, and transparency principles, preventing unilateral legislative actions. In conclusion, robust inter-institutional checks and balances ensure public interest alignment, though empirical validation remains needed for comprehensive governance enhancement.

Abstract

Tax avoidance has become a common strategy among consumer goods companies in Indonesia to reduce tax burdens legally. This study aims to examine the effects of transfer pricing, independent commissioners, profitability, and leverage on tax avoidance in consumer goods companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2024. Employing a quantitative explanatory research design, secondary data from 78 observations of 16 purposively sampled firms were analyzed. Data were processed using SPSS 29 with multiple linear regression and classical assumption tests. The results indicate that simultaneously, the variables significantly influence tax avoidance. However, only profitability has a significant partial effect, where higher profitability encourages greater tax avoidance. Transfer pricing, independent commissioners, and leverage showed no significant partial effects, suggesting that internal governance and debt structure are not dominant factors individually. The study concludes that profitability management is the primary driver of tax avoidance in this sector, while regulatory and governance mechanisms need strengthening. These findings provide insights for policy-makers to enhance tax compliance and corporate governance.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between work–life balance and employee well-being among 93 employees working in a social service institution. This topic is important because employees in social-based organizations often face emotional demands and high workload intensity that can disrupt balance and reduce overall well-being. Based on Hudson's (2005) work–life balance model and Zheng's (2015) employee well-being framework, this study hypothesizes that higher work–life balance is associated with higher well-being. The study employs a quantitative correlational design with purposive sampling. Data were collected through a 42-item Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS, including assumption tests (normality) followed by Pearson or Spearman correlation depending on data distribution. The findings show a significant positive relationship between work–life balance and employee well-being, highlighting the importance of organizational policies that support balanced work demands to enhance the psychological, social, and workplace well-being of social service employees.
