Abstract

Enclosed spaces in ship engine rooms pose significant risks due to toxic gas accumulation like carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, contributing to maritime fatalities. This research aimed to develop a Wemos D1-based prototype for real-time hazardous gas detection to enhance crew safety on MT Plaju tanker. Experimental prototype development employed ADDIE model with static and dynamic testing on MQ-135 sensor, buzzer, LED, and WiFi web monitoring. Population comprised four main holes (A-D) in engine room enclosed spaces, sampled through 20 measurements during 12-month sea practice. Instruments included Arduino IDE for programming and Excel for regression linear analysis with <5% calibration error. Results showed average CO detection at 5.4 ppm and CO2 at 406 ppm, with alarm response under 6 seconds exceeding 30% threshold, achieving 95% accuracy in high humidity and vibration conditions. The prototype demonstrated superior WiFi connectivity over previous ATMega328P systems, reducing hazard zones by 40%. In conclusion, this cost-effective IoT solution validates hardware reliability for Indonesian maritime operations, recommending multi-gas sensor integration for industrial scaling.

Abstract

Ubud, Bali has evolved into one of the leading destinations in the wellness tourism sector by promoting traditional healing practices rooted in Balinese local wisdom. This study aims to examine how traditional healing methods such as usadha (herbal and spiritual medicine based on lontar manuscripts), melukat (spiritual purification rituals using holy water), tapak dara (energy-balancing therapy), and the role of balian (traditional healers) contribute to the development of authentic and sustainable wellness tourism. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, using field observations and online document analysis, including official websites of traditional healing service providers. The findings indicate that these healing practices offer not only holistic health benefits but also serve as a medium for preserving Balinese culture and spirituality. Despite the risk of commodification, most practitioners remain committed to maintaining the sacred and authentic values of these traditions. This study confirms that wellness tourism in Ubud can develop sustainably through an approach that emphasizes cultural integrity and spiritual depth.

Abstract

This study analyzes the potential formation of a Women Preneur Community (WPC) to develop creative and innovative digital-based economic products among female students at Samawa University, Sumbawa, using a Human Resource Management (HRM) approach. The focus identifies competencies, intrinsic motivation, and manageable internal supporting-inhibiting factors to strategically drive creative economy product development. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Primary data were gathered through in-depth interviews with 10 entrepreneurship-interested female students, Focus Group Discussions (FGD) involving 2 entrepreneurship lecturer representatives, and observations of business talents. Data analysis applied the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. Findings reveal that Samawa University female students possess substantial potential as innovative creative women preneurs, supported by high digital adaptability and strong intrinsic motivation. University backing aligns with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. WPC formation, structured around HRM functions—planning, talent training and development, performance management, and rewards—offers an effective strategy to address potential management gaps and establish a structured, sustainable development platform. The study's novelty lies in applying an HRM perspective to empower campus women preneurs, rarely explored in depth, enabling actualization of tangible digital-visioned creative economy products.

Abstract

The implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) in hospitals is a strategic step toward improving the quality of healthcare services. However, compatibility and interoperability issues with external systems remain major challenges, particularly in regional hospitals. This study aims to analyze the compatibility and interoperability of the EMR system at RSUD dr. Abdul Aziz Singkawang, as well as its impact on service quality. It also addresses research gaps concerning the lack of in-depth studies on technical barriers and infrastructure limitations in EMR implementation. Using a descriptive case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that while the EMR system is compatible with most internal hospital systems, it faces significant interoperability challenges with external platforms, mainly due to data format discrepancies and limited IT infrastructure. Nevertheless, EMR implementation has successfully improved administrative efficiency, reduced documentation errors, and enhanced the quality of patient services. This study contributes to the literature on health information system integration in regional hospitals and recommends improving system interoperability and upgrading IT infrastructure as strategic actions to support the digital transformation of healthcare services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of mental accounting and financial behavior on financial satisfaction among lecturers in Bengkalis Island. The research employs a quantitative approach using cross-sectional survey method. The population comprises all active lecturers in educational institutions on Bengkalis Island, with a sample of 207 respondents selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS version 4.0. The findings indicate that mental accounting has a positive and significant effect on financial satisfaction with a coefficient of 0.137 and p-value of 0.045. Financial behavior also demonstrates a positive and significant influence with a stronger coefficient of 0.182 and p-value of 0.005. Both variables collectively explain only 5.4 percent of the variation in financial satisfaction, suggesting that numerous other factors influence financial satisfaction. The study concludes that structured financial management through mental accounting and healthy financial behavior are important components for enhancing individual financial satisfaction, although their contribution remains limited and requires integration with other factors such as financial literacy and emotional intelligence.

Abstract

This study explores the paradoxical phenomenon where Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Sumbawa Regency resist subsidized green loan schemes despite their economic advantages. Using qualitative methods including in-depth interviews with 25 SME owners, focus group discussions, and document analysis, this research identifies key factors driving resistance: perceived complexity of application procedures, distrust toward financial institutions, concerns about sustainability requirements as operational burdens, limited environmental awareness, and preference for informal financing networks. The findings reveal a critical gap between policy design and grassroots implementation, where rational economic incentives fail to overcome institutional, cultural, and informational barriers.
