Abstract

The goal of this study is to ascertain how earnings management influences firm performance and whether board gender diversity can either enhance or weaken this relationship. The sample comprises 21 property and real estate firms that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2019 and 2023, which is analyzed using moderation regression analysis and the panel data approach. Results indicate that earnings management has a significant positive effect on firm performance, as reflected in the Return on Assets (ROA), supporting the view that it is used to meet short-term targets. However, gender diversity does not significantly moderate this relationship. These findings suggest that gender diversity has not effectively enhanced management, indicating the need for further evaluation of board composition to strengthen oversight.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and risk perception on the use of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Lima Puluh District. This research is motivated by the increasing digital transformation in non-cash payment systems; however, the adoption rate remains uneven, particularly in semi-urban areas. The method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 96 MSME respondents using purposive sampling techniques and analyzed using SPSS through validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing. The results show that partially, the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) has a positive and significant effect on QRIS usage, while financial literacy has a positive but insignificant effect, and risk perception does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, all variables have a significant effect, with a coefficient of determination of 62.3%. These findings indicate that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness are the main factors driving QRIS adoption. Therefore, efforts to increase QRIS usage should focus on enhancing ease of use, perceived benefits, and user experience within the digital payment ecosystem.

Abstract

Unorganized urban areas are a distinct problem arising from urban development that demands appropriate solutions. One way to address this issue is to transform the area into a thematic village by adding a touch of beauty to transform its appearance, emphasizing the potential of art and culture. One of the most frequently chosen and implemented elements as an essential element of a thematic village is the use of color on the houses in the location, which also serves as a marker and pictorial elements in the form of murals, illustrations, and aesthetic elements that function as a space-filling medium in the location. The problem encountered is the importance of understanding the concept of arranging visual elements, especially color and images, as an effort to realize a sustainable concept containing art and culture to maintain and enhance the sustainability of the unique potential of the thematic village. The research method used is a basic approach to visual arts and design. The elements that are emphasized are the analysis of color, shape, composition, space, and movement, combined with an approach to understanding the theory of drawing and illustration. The potential of color and images is very broad and if applied conceptually, it will become a potential solution in the form of a sustainable and long-term preservation and development of the thematic village concept.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low reading ability of students as seen from the average score which is still below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). This study aims to improve the Arabic reading skills of fifth grade students of MI Hidayatul Mubtadiin Srikaton Pringsewu through the application of the Sam'iyah Syafawiyah method assisted by picture story media. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method which is implemented in two cycles which include the planning stage, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects numbered 18 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through reading tests, observation, and documentation. The results of the study showed an increase in students' reading skills at each stage. The average score of students in the pre-test stage was 56 with a learning completeness of 39%. In cycle I the average score increased to 65 with a completeness of 56%. In cycle II the average score increased to 87 with a learning completeness of 83%. These results indicate that the application of the Sam'iyah Syafawiyah method assisted by picture story media is effective in improving students' Arabic reading skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the aesthetics of Bangilun Dance in the Tri Karya Tama art group located in Jengkol Hamlet, Dlimoyo Village, Ngadirejo District, Temanggung Regency. The main focus of this research is to reveal the value of beauty contained in the presentation of dance, both in terms of movement, visual, and musical accompaniment. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with an aesthetic approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with local managers and artists and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the aesthetics of Bangilun Dance in the Tri Karya Tama art community are reflected through the combination of wiraga, wirama, and wirasa elements. Visually, the use of unique costumes such as sunglasses and colonial-style attributes creates a distinctive folk identity. In terms of movement, this dance displays energetic dynamics that are in harmony with the rhythm of flying music (tambourine) with religious nuances. This aesthetic uniqueness not only serves as a spectacle, but also as a means of binding social solidarity and preserving the cultural identity of the people of Jengkol Hamlet in the midst of modernization.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low ability of students to memorize Arabic vocabulary due to the use of less engaging teaching methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the singing method assisted by song movements on students’ ability to memorize Arabic vocabulary in fifth grade at MIN 8 Bandar Lampung. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups, namely an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected through pre-test, post-test, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a nonparametric hypothesis test. The results showed that the average score of vocabulary memorization ability in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The hypothesis testing indicated a significant difference between the two groups, which means that the singing method assisted by song movements has a significant effect on students’ ability to memorize Arabic vocabulary. In conclusion, the use of creative learning methods involving music and movement can improve students’ memory and engagement in learning Arabic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of branding and creative marketing on the income of female artisans of Baion products (Macan brand woven plastic rope) in Pematang Panjang Village with local wisdom as a moderating variable. The low and fluctuating income of female artisans is the background of this study, due to weak branding and creative marketing strategies despite Baion products having strong cultural potential. This quantitative study used a saturated sample of 61 female artisan respondents. Data was collected through a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results showed that branding had a positive and significant effect on local wisdom and women's income. Creative marketing had a positive and significant effect on local wisdom but did not have a significant direct effect on income. Local wisdom had a positive and significant effect on women's income and successfully mediated the effect of branding and creative marketing on income. The research model showed very good predictive relevance with an R-squared value of 0.928 for local wisdom and 0.943 for women's income. This research proves the importance of integrating local wisdom into creative branding and marketing strategies to improve the economic welfare of female artisans in rural areas.

Abstract

Regional food security requires an information system that integrates price, stock, distribution, field report, and early-warning data into a unified decision-making workflow. This study develops PanganKu as a mobile decision support system prototype for food security monitoring in Lamongan Regency. The research used a three-iteration prototyping approach covering system architecture design, functional requirement formulation, price-distribution analytics implementation, and system verification. Evaluation was conducted through black-box testing, algorithm unit testing, and calibrated simulation-based price scenarios. The system provides price and stock monitoring, simple price prediction, anomaly detection, geographic distance estimation, and preliminary surplus-deficit distribution recommendations. The results show that all functional test cases produced outputs consistent with expected results. Price scenario evaluation produced a mean absolute percentage error of 1.0% for stable commodities and 14.2% for volatile commodities. These results indicate consistent algorithm behavior in limited scenarios rather than market-level prediction accuracy. Operational implementation still requires official daily data, end-user testing, field validation, and structured load testing.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Corporate Governance as a mediating variable in the relationship between Group Affiliation, Asset Quality Index, and Profit Performance in palm oil agribusiness sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study applies an explanatory quantitative approach using secondary data from annual reports and financial statements for the 2020-2024 period. The sample was selected through purposive sampling and consisted of 20 companies with 100 firm-year observations. Profit Performance is measured by Return on Assets (ROA), Group Affiliation is measured using a dummy variable, Asset Quality Index is calculated from the proportion of non-current assets to total assets, and Corporate Governance is proxied by the proportion of independent commissioners. The results show that Group Affiliation and Asset Quality Index have positive and significant effects on Corporate Governance at the 10% level. Group Affiliation has a negative and significant effect on ROA, while Asset Quality Index and Corporate Governance do not significantly affect ROA. The Sobel test indicates that Corporate Governance does not mediate the effects of Group Affiliation or Asset Quality Index on Profit Performance. These findings demonstrate that group affiliation does not automatically improve profitability when agency costs, related-party transactions, coordination burdens, and asset inefficiency outweigh the benefits of group synergy.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of Lean Management and Six Sigma on Early Patient Discharge and Patient Satisfaction at one of government hospital in East Kalimantan, including the mediating role of Early Patient Discharge. A quantitative approach using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4.0 was employed on data from 160 healthcare and management staff respondents. Lean Management significantly influences Early Patient Discharge (β=0.292; t=3.670; p=0.000) and Patient Satisfaction (β=0.284; t=3.526; p=0.000). Six Sigma significantly affects Early Patient Discharge (β=0.483; t=6.221; p=0.000) but shows no direct significant effect on Patient Satisfaction. Early Patient Discharge has the strongest effect on Patient Satisfaction (β=0.566; t=7.505; p=0.000). Mediation analysis confirms partial mediation by Early Patient Discharge in the Lean Management–Patient Satisfaction relationship, and full mediation in the Six Sigma–Patient Satisfaction relationship. R² values indicate moderate to strong predictive power. These findings highlight that optimizing the patient discharge process is a key strategy for improving patient satisfaction.
