Abstract

Adolescence is the right time for them to pursue education. Education is very important for teenagers because, through education, their potential can grow. However, it is very sad when teenagers who should focus on learning and pursuing their dreams instead fall into early marriage. The biggest factor in the number of early marriages in the GKSI Syalom Unse congregation is the lack of education. This is caused by parents and children who do not understand the urgency of education itself. This PKM aims to provide understanding and awareness to teenagers to avoid early marriage and provide education on the importance of education. Thus, this PKM program has implications for the need to increase the age of marriage to a more mature age, both in terms of mental, educational, and economic aspects. The method used in accommodating the discussion of early marriage is the lecture method. However, in preparing the material using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The results of the implementation of this activity went smoothly and were well responded to by the participants. This activity helps teenagers understand the dangers of early marriage and increases their enthusiasm for studying higher knowledge.

Abstract

The development of children's knowledge in the Digital Age is accelerating. Children are now following the times so that they are not left behind. So, in children's ministry, especially in the Church, it is necessary to hold a briefing for Sunday School teachers, where teachers who teach Sunday School children are equipped with more practical ministry knowledge. If teachers update themselves, it will be easier for them to reach today's children. The Sunday School children in GMI Baithani Plaju are very active, so the teachers must be creative. Therefore, it is hoped that through this community service in the form of seminars with training accompanied by discussions of teachers and teams, Sunday School teachers will be equipped to optimize their creativity in service so that in Sunday School services, there are new things to show and make children enthusiastic in worshipping in Sunday School. This community service uses the method of seminars and discussions as well as practice to provide understanding to GMI Baithani Sunday School teachers to teach creatively and develop their creativity to foster the enthusiasm of Sunday School children in worship and ultimately strengthen children's faith.

Abstract

Based on observational research, many GKSI Pelita Harapan Lembokodi congregation members do not give offerings properly due to economic factors. The problems prompted a service activity to the congregation at the GKSI Pelita Harapan Lembokodi church to increase the congregation's awareness of Lembokodi. Even so, there are shortcomings that need to be evaluated by the church because the congregation's appreciation of God's blessings is not balanced with their knowledge about giving offerings. The church must evaluate such conditions. The methods used in writing this research article are interviews with congregants and literature studies to support valid data. This socialisation activity requires 2 (two) stages to get better results. The results obtained after this activity was carried out showed that there was a change in the attitude of the congregation's awareness of giving offerings to God. This activity aims to answer the importance of awareness and lead to the congregation's situation by expanding knowledge and discussing ways to help the congregation improve their spirituality to grow and be rooted in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Abstract

Jambu Balai is one of the hamlets in Jambu Tembawang Village, Air Besar District, Landak District, West Kalimantan Province. In this village, one of the Faithful Indonesian Christian Churches (GKSI) Jambu Balai Christ Church stands. According to observations and interviews conducted, there are some congregations who lack spiritual growth, so they distance themselves from worship meetings on the grounds of family problems, problems with neighbors, hatred of God's servants, being too busy preparing for their physical needs, lots of activities to the point of no time for God. This is what prompted the author to propose Increasing the Spiritual Growth of the Jambu Balai Christ Congregation About the Meaning of Worship Fellowship Based on Hebrews 10:25, among others: holding household worship (PA), inviting the congregation to perform/carry out worship in their homes, and inviting the congregation to take part in service. In this case, the method used by the author in writing this article is observation and library research to support complete data or information and validation.

Abstract

This article aims to apply to learning the Bible/The Word of God by using methods through songs to make the students quickly memorise verses they like in the Bible. The goal of The word of God is to fulfil and direct our way through God. (2 Timothy 3:15-17). The Bible told us that the songs had authority and significantly impacted Christianity'sChristianity's lives. The music chord will impact a hearer'shearer's soul.   The method used is training students to memorise the Bible through songs by involving them in choosing the verses they like, and then they will sing those verses to help them quickly memorise verses. After that, the students will be invited to repeat that verses until they truly memorise verses. Bible songs are helping the students to upgrade their brains to memorise the verses of the Bible. Through this method, the students desire to know the Bible more and more.

Abstract

Tutoring is an effort to help students (students) in completing their education well. Tutoring is not always obtained only from schools, but the guidance they need to get from families and the environment in which they live. Tutoring is needed, especially by children still in elementary school, because that is the golden age where they experience rapid moral, language, cognitive, artistic, and physical motor development. Tutoring aims to guide, educate, and motivate students (students) in carrying out their responsibilities and obligations at school, for example, mastering well the lessons given at school and doing homework. The method used in conducting a tutoring program is through lectures and discussions. This tutoring follows the lessons of students (students) in school so that when they face the test, they have understood the lesson. The continuation of this program for three months has given progress to children who are enthusiastic about participating in it.

Abstract

A woman must understand the meaning of the helping words and prayer pillars. The facts show that there are still too many women in small towns and big cities who do not understand the function of a helper and prayer pillar in every household. The method used is to hold seminars about women so that many have quality spirituality. Because by having spiritual qualities, they will understand the function of being a helper and prayer pillar. The seminar implementation was delivered to various interdenominational churches; the participants were women pastors and the seminar lecture method. This is done with the hope that all participants can convey. This was done with the hope that all participants would be able to convey the material they got in the seminar to their respective congregations in their local church. Due to the covid 19 pandemic, many events are being held via zoom. This is also used to follow up on the teaching that has been delivered so that they remain in the community who want to learn.

Abstract

This paper departs from the problem of the role of God's servant/church servant in fostering the spiritual mentality of God's congregation, in this case, the inmates of Lapas IIA Cikarang. The biggest fear of inmates while serving their sentence is being away from their families. Servants of God who devote themselves to fostering inmates should also equip themselves to serve the mental recovery of inmates. Spirituality impacts the good and bad of individual behaviour in interacting with God and others, influenced by the environment, experience and knowledge. New thoughts and enthusiasm and facing the realities and challenges of life more religiously. Dare to reject negative thoughts that tempt them to return to his dark life of committing crimes. Christian Spirituality Mentality also helps His congregation find wholeness and balance in their relationship with God, others, and nature. Encouraging motivation, solidarity, dialogue and cooperation in building a just, peaceful and dignified life. Mental Spiritual Guidance is an effort to improve and renew the actions and behaviour of inmates through mental guidance of their souls and spirituality so that they become inmates who have a solid spiritual faith and healthy personality, reflect the character of Christ and are responsible for living their lives while in prison, furthermore, later, after being free and returning to society.

Abstract

Tanjung Beringin Village is one of the villages in Sungai Laur District, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan. Here is where the community service implementation activities are held. Based on the results of observations and surveys conducted, parents in Tanjung Beringin Village still lack understanding and knowledge that instilling Christian values and shaping their children's spirituality is a responsibility that must be prioritized. As a result of the problem, the parents take a less favourable stance and action for the child, namely transferring this noble responsibility to the church (Sunday school) and school (religious teacher). As a form of responsibility and concern, implementing Community Service is present as an answer to these needs. The goal is that parents in Tanjung Beringin Village can become responsible individuals in shaping their family members into a generation that fears God and has noble morals. Implementing this Community Service uses observation, survey, and discussion methods and is supported by literature studies. As for the results obtained from this effort, parents in Tanjung Beringin Village already understand and know how to be responsible individuals in educating their children in truth through family education.

Abstract

Women's empowerment has become essential for developing the whole people in Indonesia. With women's many roles as mothers, career women, educators and church servants, it is often difficult for women to develop their potential to the fullest. Flourish International, a Christian nonprofit organization since 1968 that dedicated itself to empowering women in developing countries, began giving training seminars in Indonesia in 2009. The growth of women in terms of physical and mental health, self-esteem, and opportunities to develop potential has become the main focus of Flourish International. Several training classes and seminars have been held focusing on small 20-person women's communities and training for facilitators who can later create training classes for their communities. The training methods are covered in 9 seminar sessions and activities that help participants deepen the training modules based on the word of God. This training class is accompanied by sharing and counselling sessions led by the facilitator. The class also aims for participants to experience the love of Christ and the truth of God's word through the restoration of the heart, soul and mind. It is hoped that the Flourish class will help participants find relief and transformation for their families, the surrounding environment and the church.
