Abstract

SMA Arastamar is the only high school currently in the Air Upas area, Air Upas District, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan. In this area SMA Arastamar was founded by the Servant of God. This high school is under the SABAS Foundation. The presence of this school is to improve human resources in the region. Based on the results of observations made to class XII science and social studies students, there were students who were less active in carrying out their duties. This happened because the learning process transmigrated into distance learning or better known as PJJ as a result of Covid-19. Covid-19 and forcing students to be able to use computer technology properly and correctly. Making assignments that had to be made in Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel did not go well, due to the lack of understanding of children in operating these devices, and not only that, students also had to be able to use Gmail to send assignments that were There is. With the existing observations, the authors are encouraged to conduct community service training for class XII students majoring in Science and Social Studies at Arastamar High School in order to improve the quality of students in information technology-based education.

Abstract

Social media has become an important part of the daily lives of youth in Indonesia. However, the influence of social media can be unhealthy if used excessively or in the wrong way. Community can be a solution for youth who experience negative social media influences. This article discusses the role of the community in helping youth overcome the negative effects of social media influence and encourage positive development within youth in Indonesia. This journal uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach or participant observation. Through writing this journal, the authors can draw conclusions that the community can play a very crucial role in helping to increase public understanding and awareness of the benefits of technology. The results obtained can also provide insight that the community can play a crucial role in helping people optimize the use of technology and social media. So this research contributes not only to reminding social media users out there to be wise about the use of social media, but this research also reminds community activists out there who really understand the potential of social media in this era to teach and guide in any form to the public. Indonesia, so that the Indonesian state can progress rapidly as is the progress in existing technology.

Abstract

This article is a report on community service through a Seminar about increasing congregations’ economic through online business. The seminar was conducted for the members of Pasahutoan Gotorong Imanuel at Cisauk as the action of sharing ideas for the goodness of each member.  The community service was conducted through a seminar with discourse and discussion methods. The media was PowerPoint and TV Screens.  The purpose of this report is reference for increasing the congregation’s economy through online business. The method is qualitative research with a literature study. It started by collecting literature such as a recent journal. The analytic method is content analysis. Analytic results display descriptive. The result is the seminar has impacted the member to start and continue their online business.

Abstract

This Community Service Implementation was held at GKSI El-Shaddai which is located in Bojo Village, Budong-budong District, Central Mamuju Regency, West Sulawesi. The methods used were field surveys, interviews, discussions, and supported by literature research. Parents at GKSI El-Shaddai are people who are in need of understanding and provision of the importance of Christian religious education in the family. Why? Referring to the results of the PkM that was carried out, the cause was the lack of understanding of parents about the use and function of PAK in the family. As a result, the children at GKSI El-Shaddai experience spiritual, character and moral decline. As a form of responsibility, the servant took the initiative to organize outreach to parents and children at GKSI El-Shaddai in order to provide them with an understanding of the nature, function and role of PAK in the family. As for the contribution of thought from the servant, namely: first, providing enlightenment to parents that PAK is an effective and powerful educational figure in educating children in truth. Second, educate parents that implementing PAK in the family is a noble responsibility from God which is given to them so that it is taught to their children.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic (coronavirus disease 2019) has caused various problems in terms of health, education, economy, and other aspects. Vitamins are a complex compound that is needed by the body both for immunity and sharpening focus, especially during this pandemic. Therefore, in this social empowerment, the time conducted counseling on the importance of vitamins to teachers, parents, and students of SD Negeri Court 2. The Covid-19 pandemic has also had an impact on students' 4C (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration and Creativity) skills. To overcome this, the members of the social empowerment also conducted learning by using integer chip props to hone students' 4C skills. Through the collaboration of chemistry study program lecturers who provide socialization of the importance of vitamins and mathematics study program lecturers who provide teaching integer operations with integer chips. By these social empowerment activities, students can focus on observing the learning process and honing students' 4C skills.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of searching for identity and a high desire to know many things, including sexuality and pornography. Advances in technology make it easy for teenagers to access and watch pornographic content so that they become addicted. This condition hurts adolescents' brain systems and behavior, so it is necessary to provide an early understanding of viewing pornographic content wisely. The purpose of this article is to describe educational efforts for teenagers at Prestasi Prima Jakarta High School. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Community Service activities are carried out through webinars using a google meet with the Prestasi Prima Jakarta High School students who are members of a Christian spiritual fellowship as participants. The results of this webinar provide enlightenment and understanding to teenagers, especially about the importance of knowing the effects of pornography addiction, which can damage their self-confidence, and how to deal with it when they are addicted to pornography.

Abstract

This PkM activity was carried out in Janjang Village, Tayan Hulu District, West Kalimantan. The approaches used are field surveys and literature research. The PkM activities held were an effort to provide training to children aged 5-13 years in Janjang Village about the urgency of spiritual intelligence. The implementation of the service activities was motivated by the fact that some children in Janjang Village were experiencing degradation in their spiritual intelligence, so this had a significant impact on their spiritual life and morality which was not in accordance with the truth of God's Word. Looking at this problem, the PkM Service offered an idea as an alternative solution to the problem, namely: Providing education to children aged 5-13 years in Janjang Village about the meaning, benefits and indicators of spiritual intelligence that must be known, understood and manifested. The results obtained from this PkM activity are that children aged 5-13 years in Janjang Village already understand and comprehend the meaning, benefits and indicators of spiritual intelligence, as well as how to apply them in their lives.

Abstract

Praise and worship have a reasonably large portion in worship. Therefore, praise and worship leaders must have proficiency in everything. Based on observations made by the Bethany Church Malaysia Kuching team, the problem was that the worship leader servants could still not provide worship leadership service. Therefore, this ecclesiastical Community Service aims to improve the quality of worship leader servants in carrying out their duties and responsibilities in ministry. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, the implementation method is through seminars, discussions, pastoral counseling, and performances such as talent search events. The result of this community service is that worship leader servants experience improvements in leadership skills, spirituality, and psychology. They are increasingly responsible for their duties as a servant worship leader.

Abstract

Character is a complex attribute influenced by nature, behavior, and personality. The rapid globalization and technological advancements can quickly reshape an individual's character. This phenomenon also applies to the youth of GPDI Ayapo Congregation, who tend to be influenced by external cultures and are highly dependent on technology in various aspects of their lives. A Service Team from STAKPN-Sentani conducted Christian leadership training and character education in GPDI Efata Congregation, Ayapo Village, Sentani-Jayapura, aiming to enhance resilience in the face of disruptive eras, foster competence and instill good character through Christian teachings. The activity involved youth and adolescents from GPDI Ayapo Congregation. The methods employed in this training included observation and interviews, lectures and seminars, reflection and conclusion, documentation, and report compilation. The program spanned over two days and featured several speakers addressing various aspects, such as challenges faced by youth in the era of disruption, Christian character development, and the importance of good behavior. The results of this activity encompassed improved attitudes and understanding among the youth regarding contemporary challenges, as well as motivation to build a solid Christian character that positively impacts their ability to cope with the pressures of the times and shapes them into individuals who contribute positively to society.

Abstract

In the development of this increasingly fast and sophisticated world, many people compete to equip themselves with various skills, one of which is branding themselves and improving how to communicate effectively and efficiently or on target. Good communication can improve skills, influence the interlocutor and even increase self-confidence. The Community Service (PkM) method is descriptive qualitative with a literature study approach to strengthen this writing. The results obtained from personal branding and communication training for students at Sekolah Tinggi Agama Kristen Anak Bangsa are: Students respond as a whole that the importance of building personal branding and training communication from now on, in addition to increasing self-confidence the training is a provision for students to face community conditions/sites that later they become stakeholders so that student knowledge increases, which needs to be done 1) Students need to find out what abilities they have, 2) Ensure students want to be widely known as what, 3) Do it with everything consistently, which means keep training him.
