Abstract

Environmental cleanliness is not only focused on activities to minimize waste. However, it also talks about how people have the awareness to implement a healthy lifestyle. The community should try to see the condition or condition of the environment/region of the Maen village community themselves. The Maen village community is the driving force in implementing and achieving this lifestyle, with creative ideas and innovations needed to encourage each other in the success of environmental hygiene. With this Research Community Service program, implementing environmental hygiene encourages the formation of solidarity in religious moderation, in the sense of realizing cooperation for all Maen village communities regardless of religious background. Therefore, it is essential to implement the ABCD (Asset Based Community-driven Development) approach to develop an asset or what strength exists in the community. Strive to change the community's mindset so that they have awareness in responding to existing assets or strengths. Thus, KKN Research and the village government, and even religious leaders are trying to keep the environment free from waste problems.

Abstract

Religious, cultural and ethnic diversity in the face of Indonesian people's life. Behind this diversity, there are positive and negative potentials. The positive potential is that Indonesia has people from various backgrounds, so social interactions occur. The community upholds cooperation, mutual respect, and tolerance. These inclusive values are then practised in social life at all levels, including the people of the Taniwel sub-district, West Seram Regency, Maluku Province. Meanwhile, the negative potential is that the diversity that exists also saves space for societal barriers when easily provoked by irresponsible elements, such as violent conflicts in the name of religion that occurred in several parts of Indonesia and hit the Taniwel sub-district. A conflict then changes the way people view diversity in people's lives. As a result, religious harmony is threatened, disintegrating within the community itself. Therefore, this community service activity was carried out considering the lack of understanding among the community about the importance of national literacy and religious moderation. The attitude of religious moderation through strengthening inclusiveness values needs to be built into the community. This is an acknowledgement of the other party's existence and an attitude of respect for differences. This difference then becomes the reason not to hurt each other, suspect, and judge one another. On the contrary, it strengthens and unites each other.

Abstract

Finding a life partner is often considered a private matter that does not need to be discussed publicly. In contrast, the process of choosing a life partner is a crucial stage before arriving at marriage. Mistakes in choosing a life partner will be borne for life. The church needs to take preventive action by educating young congregations to understand the basic Christian principles in choosing a life partner. This Community Service activity aims to strengthen partners' understanding regarding choosing a life partner, especially among church youth. This activity was carried out in two forms: seminars on the basic principles of choosing a life partner in Christian theology and the psychological perspective, and group assistance to hear partners' problems regarding choosing a life partner. The results showed that the participants understood the seminar material well, while the results of group assistance revealed that the main obstacle for participants was the relationship between different religious statuses. According to God's word, the solution offered by the service team was that participants need to consider the various harmful effects that were more likely to arise from an unbalanced relationship.

Abstract

Cell community planting is urgently needed, especially in areas where the gospel has not yet been reached. The data shows that the Rancaekek and Soreang areas are two areas the gospel has not reached. Therefore, the author makes pioneering efforts with the hope that one day there will be churches in Rancaekek and Soreang, starting with cell communities in these two areas. The method used in this research is study cases. The author conducts community worship services as the forerunner of the birth of a church of God. So far, the cell community services that have been held have received a positive response from the Christian families served. Those who still need a community to grow in faith in the area where they live show enthusiasm when their house is used as a place to carry out cell community worship. Cell community is carried out not only on-site but also online. This is an alternative response to the ongoing conditions (pandemic). If conditions improve in the future, an online cell community will likely be carried out on-site.

Abstract

Some of the main issues that will be discussed in this paper include: 1) there is an assumption from the congregation that the ministry is only the pastor's job because he has attended special lessons in theological colleges; 2) the role of elders is not optimal because the pastor of the church does not prepare them through coaching; 3) elders do not carry out their duties to the fullest because they do not understand. The purpose of the research is to provide an understanding that the ministry's task is not only carried out by the pastor of the church, that's why it is necessary to prepare coaching for prospective elders to provide support for the ministry. Involving elders needs to start with coaching to understand God's Word and their ministry role. The method used is lectures and training with the hope that it can provide an understanding to the prospective assemblies that service is also their responsibility.
