Abstract

Abstract The problem with this study is "Is there an influence of make a match type cooperative model on students' learning outcomes in thematic learning?". This research aims to describe how highly the influence of make a match-type cooperative models affects students' learning outcomes in thematic learning. This research uses experimental methods. Collection technique is a measurement technique while the data collection tool is a written test in the form of multiple choice which amounts to 50 questions. Based on statistical calculations the average results of post-test class control studies were 77.31 and the average post-test experiment class was 81.43. Hypothetical test results using t-test obtained thitung = 2,521 for dk = 68 and a=5% obtained ttabel = (1,67) which means thitung ( 2,521) < ttabel (1.67), then Ha accepted. It can be concluded that there is an influence of make a match type learning model on students' learning outcomes in Thematic Learning. From the calculation of effect size (ES) obtained ES amounted to 0.53 in the moderate category. It can be said that the cooperative model of Make a Match type has a considerable influence on students' learning outcomes in Thematic Learning. Abstract

Abstrak This research was aimed to improve the students’ learning outcomes on the Vibration material using Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model. This is pre-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design, conducted at SMPN 8 Pontianak involving 28 students in class VIII C. The data were obtained using a test in the form of ten multiple-choice and five essays. Based on the Wilcoxon test using SPSS version 22, obtained Sig 2-tailed by 0.000 < 0.05; Thus, Ha was accepted. Therefore, it was concluded that there was a significant difference in the learning outcomes before and after the selected model was applied. The average scores obtained after applying NHT was 77.76, with the effect size by 1.86 (categorized high). In conclusion, the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model is effective to use in improving students’ learning outcomes in vibration material. Abstract

Abstract This research is aimed to acknowledge the relationship between self-efficacy and high schoolers' mathematical communication ability in the material of Reciprocal Trigonometric. The research is one kind of correlation and ex post facto research, emerged with the qualitative approachment. Research subjects were all the students of X IPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Sungai Raya. The technique used is measurement by giving self-efficacy scale and essay-form test of mathematical communication ability. The results showed that students' self-efficacy ability is in the medium category, while the mathematical communication ability stayed in high category. In order to gain the relationship between both variables, data analysis was conducted. Data was normally-distributed and had a linear correlation. After then, correlation analysis was done by performing Pearson Product Moment Test. The test gained Sig.(2-tailed) > α or 0.165 > 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there are no any relationship between self-efficacy and mathematical communication ability. In other words, no matter how high the rate of students' self-efficacy, it won't affect their mathematical communication ability.
