Abstract

 Emotional intelligence is the ability to manage emotions towards oneself when faced with any conditions so that they can make decisions that are beneficial for themselves. Mathematics is one of the subjects that contains symbols, numbers that have a certain meaning. Based on the results of observations at SDN Kubang Sepat 1 Cilegon, it was found that in learning mathematics, many students were indifferent, students gave up easily and did not have enthusiasm in learning mathematics. Most of them lack the confidence to learn mathematics and do not like to study mathematics on the grounds that learning mathematics is difficult to understand and many experience problems in solving math problems. All attitudes shown by students are centered on the emotions that exist within them. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of emotional intelligence on learning achievement in mathematics. The research method used is Ex-postfacto quantitative approach. The research instrument used was a measurement scale of emotional intelligence and a test of mathematics learning outcomes. The research results obtained include (1) students' emotional intelligence is divided into three categories, namely low 0 students, medium 29 students and high 3 students (2) students' mathematics learning outcomes are divided into three categories, namely low 5 students, medium 20 students and high 7 students (3) There is an influence between emotional intelligence on mathematics learning outcomes seen from the significance test value of 0.000 (4) The magnitude of the influence of emotional intelligence on student learning outcomes is 34,7%. The conclusions obtained from the results of this study are the influence of emotional intelligence on the mathematics learning outcomes of students at SDN Kubang Sepat 1 Cilegon.

Abstract

The learning model serves as  a guide for learning designers and teachers in planning teaching and learning activities. Problem-Based Learning model provides students to think about a problem and then the problem is solved using the correct solution. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning model and student responses to the use of the Problem-Based Learning model in elementary schools. Thus it can help students to optimize problem solving skills in students. This study uses an experimental method with Matching pre-test post-test Control Group Design. The samples were taken from the entire class population of 40 students from 4th grade at the State of Elementary School of Buah Gede. The test instrument used in the form of questions and non-test instrument in the form of a questionnaire. Analysis of the collected data were analyzed by normality and homogeneity tests as a prerequisite test for the experimental group and the control group. Problem-Based Learning model is effective to be used in improving students' mathematical problem solving and student responses give good responses to the use of Problem-Based Learning model. Teachers are expected to utilise appropriate learning methods for mathematical problem solving and similar problems.

Abstract

In this study, researchers carried out mathematics learning activities with Sundanese ethnomathematics through Engklek games. This study aims to determine the ability of students' understanding after being given treatment through Sundanese ethnomathematics learning compared to expository learning, and the results of student dispositions after learning with Engklek games. The research approach using the experimental method by purposive sampling found two iv classes, namely the IVA class given the Sundanese ethnomathematics learning treatment as an experimental class and the control class with expository learning in class IVB with the number of students per class of 25 people. The instruments used are question tests, LKS, observation sheets, disposition questionnaires for experimental classes, daily journals, and interviews. After being given a different treatment, it showed that the mathematical comprehension ability of the experimental class students obtained good results from the control class with an average posttest score of class IVA 76.6 and class IVB 66.2 by looking at the significance results of 0.003, which was less than 0.05 on the t-test. The mathematical disposition and response of the experimental class showed positive results, judging from the average score of 77% belonging to the good category. So it can be concluded that the learning of Sundanese ethnomathematics greatly affects students' ability to understand and disposition mathematically

Abstract

Film can be utilized as a medium of learning in education. Within the film, numerous educational values can be learned by students, such as the value of patriotism. Within the film, numerous instructive values can be learned by understudies, such as the esteem of patriotism. The Tanah Surga Katanya film, which tells almost the lives of Indonesian citizens in border ranges, features a part of heroic values that emanate from the characters. The values of patriotism can be learned and imitated by fourth-grade rudimentary school understudies. This investigation was conducted to discover the values of patriotism contained in the Tanah Surga Katanya film. A qualitative approach and content analysis method were used in this research. Information in this study was collected by listening, observing, listening to dialogue, and doing fragments. At that point, the information was analyzed utilizing the steps of Miles and Huberman which are to show specific information lessening, information show, and drawing conclusions. Based on the analysis, the researchers found that there are 20 information discoveries within the Tanah Surga Katanya film which comprises 3 values of devotion, 4 values of mettle, 2 values of being willing to give up, 1 esteem of never giving up, and 10 values of adore for the nation. The results of this study can be utilized as social studies learning media regarding heroic attitudes for fourth-grade students.

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran, media ajar berperan sangat penting. Berdasarkan hasil interviu yang sudah dilaksanakan, pembelajaran matematika di kelas masih ada pelajar yang salah dalam memahami materi operasi hitung bilangan bulat, karena media yang dipakai masih bersifat konservatif dan belum berbasiskan budaya. Hal itu menjadi dasar untuk meningkatkan media berbentuk permainan tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media digital berbasiskan permainan tradisional agar menarik motivasi pelajar. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu RPP dan media pembelajaran. Subyek dalam penelitian ini ialah pelajar kelas VI. Metode penelitian yang dipakai yaitu etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai berbentuk interviu, observasi, dan study dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE untuk membuat media. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui lima tingkatan yakni, (1) Analysis, untuk menganalisa tugas, mengenali permasalahan, dan menganalisa keperluan. (2) Design, peneliti membuat kerangka untuk media dan bahan ajar berdasarkan data yang sudah dikaji. (3) Development, untuk aktivitas meningkatkan rangka design media dan bahan ajar yang sudah dibuat dan divalidasi. (4) Implementation, pengetesan produk media yang sudah divalidasi dengan subyek 15 pelajar di kelas VI SDN Semanan 14 Petang. (5) Evaluation, sebagai tahapan paling akhir dari ADDIE yaitu, menilai aktivitas berdasar hasil eksperimen media evaluasi. Berdasar hal itu, dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa produk media evaluasi yang dibuat dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan layak dipakai dalam evaluasi materi operasi hitung bilangan bulat.

Abstract

Pictorial word dice is basically a dice where each side is pinned with words and pictures for students to read. Used of pictorial word dice media will be explained in the form of learning plans or commonly referred to as lesson plans. This lesson plan mainly pays attention to learning themes, basic competencies and indicators of learning Indonesian in the second grade of elementary school. This study using a descriptive method with data processing techniques literature study. The description is of course based on a literature review that was developed through the author's interpretation in a scientific, concise, and clear manner. The sources of data obtained from previous research, books and journals that are relevant to this research. The first result of this study is to provide a general and comprehensive description of the characteristics of the pictorial word dice media that can be used as a medium for learning to read beginning. Second, it provides a description of the initial reading lesson plan associated with the use of pictorial word dice media, namely in the form of a plan for implementing Indonesian language learning activities for early reading in the second grade of elementary school. This literature study can be used as a basic basis for developing learning using picture dice in further research.

Abstract

Emosi dan sikap agresif merupakan salah satu bagian yang paling penting dari manusia, karena melalui emosi seseorang mampu mengekspresikan perasaannya, selain itu juga pada setiap aspek perkembangan manusia pasti terdapat perkembangan emosi didalamnya.Guru memainkan peran penting dalam memungkinkan siswa untuk mengontrol emosi dan sikap agresif. Salah satu upaya yang diharapkan bisa membantu mengendalikan emosi dan perilaku agresif siswa adalah dengan cara metode bermain menggunakan permainan ular tangga. Metode yang akan digunakan untuk pengkajian ini studi literatur atau studi pustaka. Data yang diperoleh dikompulasi, dianalisis, dan disimpulkan sehingga mendapatkan kesimpulan mengenai studi literature. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukan bahwa metode bermain dengan menggunakan permainan ular tangga mampu mengendalikan emosi dan sikap agresif yang dialami oleh siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see the quality of the items in theme 6 for fifth grade and this is based on a review of the validity of the questions, the reliability of the questions, the level of difficulty, discriminating power and effectiveness of distractors and to find out whether the questions of theme 6 are Higher Order Thinking Skill-oriented. Questions are declared good if they meet the conditions that have been set. Thinking is an activity in which a person manages his memory to solve a problem. This study uses a mixed method or mixed method, in which this mixed method connects qualitative and quantitative techniques in one study. The data collection technique uses documentation, namely collecting student answer sheets on theme 6 and the technique then the questions are then analyzed to determine the validity, reliability, discriminating power, level of difficulty, and effectiveness of the distractors using the Anates Version 4 application. using Bloom's Taxonomy table. Based on the analysis of the questions, there are 4 questions (20%) in the very good category, 4 questions (20%) in the good category, 5 questions (25%) in the very good category, 5 questions (25%) in the bad category and 2 items in the multiple choice theme. 6 bad categories. Based on the HOTS study of multiple choice items, Theme 6 of the 20 questions submitted based on Operational Verbs used in Bloom's taxonomy include 7 questions in group C1 (Knowing), 5 questions in group C2 (Understanding), 2 items questions in group C3 (Applying), 4 questions in group C4 (Analyzing) and 2 items in group C5 (Evaluating) there are no questions that are included in group C6 (Creating). So, out of 20 HOTS-oriented questions, there are 6 questions.

Abstract

One of the challenges faced in education is the low level of language literacy among elementary school students. Language literacy is a skill in obtaining and processing information, which is important for every student to have. This research aims to determine the effect of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) model assisted by interactive PowerPoint on the language literacy of elementary school students. The method used in this research is quantitative and carried out on fourth-grade students at Sultan Agung Islamic Elementary School 4. The design in this research is pre-experimental design with the type of research being one group pretest-posttest design. The research instrument includes a list of pre-research interview questions as well as a list of pre-test and post-test questions. The result of the research shows that there is an effect of the Inside Outside Circle model assisted by interactive PowerPoint on students’ language literacy. Evidenced by the sig. value (2-tailed) hypothesis test result paired-sample t-test is 0.000 0.05. It can also be seen that there is an increase in the average post-test result of students’ language literacy compared to the average pre-test of students’ language literacy, which is 72.28 from 55.64. In conclusion, there was a significant increase in students’ language literacy skills, indicating that the Inside Outside Circle model assisted by interactive PowerPoint can be an innovation for teachers to improve students’ language literacy. These results can be used by practitioners and teachers in dealing with similar problems with alternative combinations of models and appropriate media.

Abstract

The mathematics lesson on addition and subtraction word problems for second-grade students in elementary school can enhance students' problem-solving skills and enable them to analyze information to find solutions. According to students, mathematics is considered a boring and difficult subject, especially in the material of addition and subtraction word problems, where students often struggle to understand the sentences, making it hard for them to solve the problems. Therefore, the objective of this research is to test and determine the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by interactive PowerPoint learning media on the mathematical calculation abilities of second-grade students at the Primary School of Islam Sultan Agung 4. This study uses a quantitative research method with a pre-experimental type, specifically the one-group pretest-posttest design, and employs a test as the data collection technique. The sample consists of 20 students. Based on the normality test results, the pretest has a sig. value of 0.627 ˃ α, indicating that the data is normally distributed, while the posttest has a sig. value of 0.768 ˃ α, also indicating normal distribution. In the hypothesis test using the paired-sample t-test, the sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000 ˂ 0.05, suggesting a significant difference in mathematical calculation abilities before and after the treatment using the PBL model assisted by interactive PowerPoint media. After the treatment, students became more active in learning, able to engage in discussions, divide tasks within groups, and differentiate sentences that indicate addition and subtraction operations in word problems, ultimately improving their calculation abilities.
