Abstract

Evaluation of learning outcomes in the form of multiple choices generally only measures Lower Order Thinking Skill (LOTS) abilities, namely: remembering, knowing and applying. Measuring student learning outcomes is not only LOTS, but also Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). This requires a modified form of multiple-choice instrument. The aim of this service is to provide training in writing reasoned multiple choice questions based on HOTS and to determine the satisfaction of elementary school teachers at the UPI Serang Campus Laboratory after participating in the training activities. The method of this service is training, with two sessions, namely the first session providing material related to HOTS and the second session is a presentation and reflection on the results of HOTS questions made by elementary school teachers. This training activity consists of three stages, namely the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. The results of the teacher satisfaction questionnaire regarding the training activities carried out showed that teachers gained very good knowledge of the material and satisfaction in terms of training facilities. This training can be used as a reference for increasing teacher capacity in developing HOTS-based questions in the future.

Abstract

Karang Taruna is an organization formed by the community as a forum for the younger generation to develop themselves, grow, and develop on the basis of awareness and social responsibility of younger generation, which is oriented towards achieving social welfare for the community. Karang Taruna empowerment is a process of developing capabilities, opportunities, and granting authority to Karang Taruna to increase potential, prevent and handle social problems, develop pioneering values through the use of human resources, natural-social resources, and technology. This empowerment is also felt by the Karang Taruna "Putra Intan Jaya" which is domiciled in Langkaplancar District, Pangandaran Regency. In the course of the Karang Taruna there were several obstacles, especially those related to organizational management; human resource capacity (education); capacity of economic resources (entrepreneurship); facilities and infrastructure (education and sports). In practice, empowerment is carried out in the form of improving organizational management, human resource capacity as well as facilities and infrastructure. Organizational management improvement is carried out through guidance and provision of organizational equipment. Capacity building for human resources is carried out through education, training, guidance, and best practice. Then, improvement of facilities and infrastructure is carried out through the provision, addition and development of equipment

Abstract

The issue that arises in this study is the lack of ability to read the Qur’an with beautiful rhythms and good reading according to the rules of tajwid science. Therefore, the presence of the Tilawati Method is a recent innovation in reading the Qur’an. This training has many advantages, in which the Tilawati method is an approach to learning the Qur’an that combines habituation through a classical approach with reading and listening techniques. There are various learning resources. This training can be applied by various circles. This community service is carried out by targeting class V students at MI Mansya'ul Huda. The method used in writing this article involves certain stages: 1) preparation, which includes gathering training needs, determining activity materials and participants, and providing materials and teaching aids, 2) implementation, which includes tests to measure reading ability levels, and 3) evaluation. The results of this training show the development of students in reading the Qur’an in accordance with the rules of the science of recitation and beautiful rhythms. Concrete evidence has shown that this Tilawati training has high effectiveness in increasing and awakening students' enthusiasm for reading the Qur’an.

Abstract

Aspects of cognitive development is one aspect that is very important for children, one of which is in recognizing colors. the background of this training is the lack of understanding of children in the IZZATI KB in recognizing colors. The method used in the Rainbow walking water training is direct demonstration and practice. This training aims to help children develop cognitive aspects of children, namely color recognition. This training was held at KB IZZATI Kampung Beting, Pantai Bahagia Village, Muara Gembong District, Bekasi Regency, with the target of training 2 teachers and 18 children aged 5-6 years. The stages in this training are divided into three stages, namely (1) preparation, (2) implementation stage, (3) evaluation and reporting stage. From the results of this training it can be concluded that cognitive development in the IZZATI KB is well developed, there is influence from the Rainbow walking water training method.

Abstract

The use of gadgets among children makes it difficult to control the intensity of gadget use. This is what parents in Sigedang Village, Kejajar District, Wonosobo Regency, Central Java. Apart from that, the potential of Sigedang Village has not been properly explored. The community service aimed to determine the effectiveness of a SEJENAK Program in reducing the use of gadgets among children in Sigedang Village, Kejajar sub-district, Wonosobo Regency. The service is to find out the percentage of decreased time for playing with gadgets by children in Sigedang Village and to find out children's responses to Generation Z-based playgrounds in the village of Sigedang Kejajar Wonosobo through the program. The community service methods used are counseling and education programs in the form of surveys, interviews, distribution of questionnaires to parents to find out the intensity of gadget use in children, and literature studies from various sources such as journals, theses, books, and theses both nationally and internationally regarding similar research that supports arguments and result of the program. The results of the SEJENAK program show that there is a decrease in the level of Gadget use after a moment. The intensity of the decrease in gadget use is from 3 hours per day to 0.5 hours per day. The SEJENAK Program can reduce the level of anxiety of parents in Sigedang Village about the side effects of using gadgets on children

Abstract

This Community Service (CS) contained training and mentoring for all teachers and education personnel at the Laboratory Elementary School of UPI Serang Campus. The purpose of this CS is to provide basic knowledge and skills to teachers and education personnel about the prevention and handling of school bullying. The implementation of CS activities is carried out through three main stages. The first stage was an initial survey, aiming to gather information about the demographics of the participants and understand their level of understanding about bullying. This information became the basis for designing training that suited the needs of the participants. The second stage was the training to provide both insights and practical skills that can be applied immediately, which consisted of two main sessions: a session focused on introducing and understanding different forms of bullying, so that participants were able to recognise the signs and effects of this behaviour; and a session provided practical guidance to effectively respond to and deal with bullying in the school environment. The final stage was a final survey to evaluate participants' perceptions of the training materials that had been delivered as well as to formulate a follow-up plan for the workshop in form of lectures, brainstorming and interactive discussions to ensure the sustainability of the programme. The results of the training showed that the education units consisting of teachers and education personnel involved had a better understanding of the concept of bullying. They are expected to follow up on this activity by developing bullying prevention programmes in their respective schools, thus creating a safer and more inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

The implementation of differentiated learning that is integrated with the development of social-emotional competencies in the context of the Independent Curriculum in this webinar activity is to explore the strategies and approaches used by educators in maximizing differentiated learning to improve the quality of education. The main focus of this activity is to review how adaptive learning to students' needs can support their social-emotional development, which ultimately contributes to the formation of a generation that is better prepared to face life's challenges. Through key questions and interactive discussions, this webinar uncovered various best practices applied in the field, as well as the challenges faced by educators in implementing differentiated learning in the Independent Curriculum. The results mentioned that differentiated learning integrated with social-emotional competence has a positive influence on improving student learning motivation and student learning outcomes in the context of Merdeka Curriculum. It can be concluded that overall, the surveyed teachers often implement differentiated learning in their classrooms. The percentage figure is 82.3% which indicates a very high level of agreement with the integration of KSE in differentiated learning. Teachers must enhance and incorporate KSE to supports student development.

Abstract

The cadre of preachers needs to include knowledge of encouraging preaching methods in order to improve the capabilities and quality of preaching of young cadres. This community service activity aims to provide assistance for exciting da'wah training in the environment of the Muhammadiyah Branch Leadership (PRM) of Kadibolo Village, Klaten Regency. In the implementation of this community service using the Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) method based on 5D (Discovery, Dream, Design, Define, and Destiny) with 3 (three) stages of implementation, namely planning, action, and evaluation. The results of this activity include (1) in the planning stage begins with knowing the history of Kadibolo village, especially the Muhammadiyah profile, the management, how many residents follow Muhammadiyah, especially young cadres who will continue the generation in da'wah activities; (2) at this stage of action began to gather Muhammadiyah young people who were in the teenage category to be taught how to da'wah techniques through 3 programs, namely KAGEMBOLO, Qur’an teaching practices and parenting studies. With this da'wah training, it is hoped that young Muhammadiyah children will take turns preaching at study events; (3) the evaluation stage is more self-reflection of da'wah training activities. The results of this assistance program are shown from the emergence of awareness of da'wah by PRM cadres and then interest in spreading to peers and school-age children as a continuation of Muhammadiyah regeneration. This program has implications for a model of cadre and increased capability and success of da'wah that has an impact on the environment.

Abstract

Plastic waste is one of the most pressing environmental challenges in Indonesia, including in rural areas such as Bulu Village, Bulu Subdistrict, Temanggung Regency. The lack of awareness about waste management and the absence of economic value in plastic waste have led to the accumulation of waste that pollutes the environment. This community service aimed to empower the community to process household plastic waste into economically and educationally valuable craft products. The methods used include a participatory approach through socialisation, technical training, and integration of activities with basic education. Through a participative and educative series of programs, it targeted environmental awareness among the local community and children. The main outcomes of the programme include increased knowledge and skills among the community in processing waste into economically valuable craft products, the creation of craft products such as keychains and mini trash bins, and the involvement of primary school students in environmentally-based creative projects through project-based curricula and mini expos. Evaluations indicate positive community responses and the emergence of sustainable initiatives in the form of novice craftsmanship groups. It concluded that an educational and applied approach to community programs can create tangible ecological, economic, and social impacts. The programme has potential for replication in other villages and integration into the primary school curriculum as a form of contextual learning and character building that promotes environmental awareness.
