Abstract

Melada (Piper colubrinum Link.) termasuk tumbuhan liar yang tidak dibudidayakan untuk tujuan khusus. Melada ini tahan terhadap serangan penyakit busuk batang sehingga digunakan untuk batang bawah pada penyambungan lada. Untuk mendapatkan batang bawah yang bagus perlu pemeliharaan yang baik seperti pemupukan, sehingga dapat mendukung pertumbuhannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan bibit tanaman melada dan mendapatkan dosis optimum pupuk NPK. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura, berlangsung dari tanggal 14 Juli-4 Oktober 2023. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap faktor tunggal dengan 5 perlakuan dan setiap percobaan diulang 4 kali. Perlakuan dosis pupuk NPK terdiri atas empat   taraf, yaitu : pupuk NPK 0 gram/tanaman, pupuk NPK 6 gram/tanaman, pupuk NPK 9 gram/tanaman, pupuk NPK 12 gram/tanaman, dan pupuk NPK 15 gram/tanaman. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah pertambahan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan jumlah daun, pertambahan diameter batang, indeks warna daun, panjang daun, dan lebar daun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian beberapa dosis pupuk NPK yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh terhadap pertambahan tinggi, panjang daun, dan lebar daun melada. Penambahan dosis tidak serta merta meningkatkan pertumbuhan. Pemberian pupuk NPK dosis 6 g/tanaman menunjukkaan dosis optimum untuk bibit melada.

Abstract

Performance Study of Independent Small Holder Oil Palm Plantation at Kubu Raya Regency. Independent small holder oil palm plantations are small holder oil palm plantations that are not affiliated with any institution. Farmers sell their own produce to local mills directly or through traders. Independent oil palm smallholders are faced with various problems, including limited access to information technology sources, financing, and markets. Independent small holder oil palm plantations in Kubu Raya Regency are facing a bigger problem because most of the plantations are on peatlands, therefore efforts are needed to help these farmers. Efforts that need to be made at this time are the provision of a database of independent small holder oil palm plantations, which so far do not exist. This study aims to obtain data on the performance of independent small holder oil palm plantations in Kubu Raya Regency. Collecting data using the interview method with a questionnaire. The results showed that most of the independent small holder oil palm farmers in Kubu Raya Regency running their business only as a side job so that the management is not optimal. Another obstacle is the difficulty in accessing the market so they are forced to sell their fruit through middlemen. The problem of transportation, namely transportation and inadequate roads, is also one of the causes of the difficulty in marketing the fresh fruit bunch.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level/grade suitability of land for oil palm plantations and attempt to provide management recommendations. Results of land evaluation, whether the results obtained from the field and the results of laboratory analysis results will provide information and guidance necessary land use and finally value of production expectations increased. The research was conducted in the village of Engkasan Tayan Hulu subdistrict Sanggau district with an area of 100 hectares. Analysis of soil samples carried out in the Laboratory of Chemistry and Soil Fertility Faculty of Agriculture, University Tanjungpura Pontianak. The study started from April 2015 until the end of April 2016. The research was conducted by survey method using a grid system. Implementation of the research include: 1) Preparation, consisting of cartography topography of the site of research, collecting secondary data research sites and tools and materials used, 2) field observations, consisting of drilling and profiling of land, 3) Analysis soil samples in the laboratory, 4) Analysis and compilation of data, which consists of determining ratings soil chemical properties, determining the nomenclature of land, determination of land suitability classes, determination of the limiting factors of land, 5) Interpretation of the data and presenting the results, the data obtained in the field associated with the results of the analysis in the laboratory.The interpretation of field data and analysis in the laboratory showed that among the sites there are 4 Soil Mapping Unit, but it has one type of soil and is classified into the Order Ultisol, Sub-order Udik, Great-group Kandiudults, Sub-order Typic Kandiudults with epipedon ocric and horizon diagnostic kandik. Soil Mapping Unit 1 has a land suitability classes S3-n (nutrient status) actual and potential land suitability classes S1, Soil Mapping Unit 2 has a land suitability classes S3-ns (slope and nutrient status) actual and potential land suitability classes S1, Soil Mapping Unit 3 has the actual land suitability classes N1-s (slope). N1-s (slope) can not do so any improvement potential land suitability classes Soil Mapping Unit remain N1-s (slope) 3 and Soil Mapping Unit 4 has the actual land suitability classes N2-s (slope). N2-s (slope) can not do so any improvement potential land suitability classes Soil Mapping Unit remain N2-s (slope). Recommended management consists of organic materials recommendation, liming, fertilizing and terracing. The results of the lime requirement calculations amounted to 0.5344 ton / mgCa (CO3) 2 / ha, the result of calculation of P and K fertilizer demand respectively 159.8 kg / ha SP36 and 130 kg / ha KCl.

Abstract

The Effect Of Various Concentrations Of Liquid Organic Fertilizer From Goat's Urine On The Growth Of Growth Of Areca Plants (Areca Catechu, L.).  Betel palm (Areca Catechu, L.) is one of the plants that has various benefits ranging from health, care, to coloring. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of giving goat urine liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of areca nut plants. This study used a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK), with 5 treatment concentrations and replicating 4 times, namely: Po: 0% (0 ml poc + 1000 ml water), P1: 5.0% (50 ml poc + 950 ml water), P2 : 10% (100 ml poc + 900 ml water), P3 : 15% (150 ml poc + 850 ml water), P4 : 20% (200 ml poc + 800 ml water), with fertilizer spray method liquid organic as much as 50 ml/plant every 1 week. Parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), stem diameter (mm). The results of this study showed that giving urine liquid organic fertilizer for P1 treatment had a significant effect on the number of leaves at 5 Mst, namely 2.10 leaves.

Abstract

Forest conversion activities into non forestry purposes impacts on decreasing of forestfunction as a main role sustainable development, especially as water regulators and as carbon storage. Therefore, deforestation not only causes a direct loss of forest habitat but also leads to indirect impacts as ecosystem services deteriorate or fail. Forests provide ecosystem services that include the regulation of weather and climate at local, regional and even global levels. Existence of protected forest Pinang Luar ± 3.228 acres take an important part and people living in the area has a high dependency on the forest. Farming activities become a treat to the forest and their indications show that cropland and palm estate already in the forest area. Land cover changes in protected forest Pinang luar at 2003 – 2012 impacts on villages at ring 1 area hierarchy decrease cause by population growth are not followed by the additional of infrastructures in economy, health and education. It is also caused by landconversion that occurred in the protected forest Pinang Luar. In the period 2003 - 2012, the villages directly affected (ring 1) have a level area hierarchy is much worse compared to villages that are not directly affected (Ring 2). And it affected to the development of the villages in the ring 2 which is better than the village at ring 1. These conditions happen because at the village in ring 1 change only on land not on the impact on the level of development that could affect the region hierarchy. This is in contrast with the ring 2 villages where the changes occur not only on land but also on its impact on the development so as to enhance the region hierarchy in ring 2 villages.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of bagasse compost on growth and yield of beans on alluvial soil. This study uses a randomized block designconsisting of 5 treatment, and repeated 5 times, each replication consisted of 5 samples. Those treatments include, k0 without bagasse compost, k1 = 10 tonnes/ha, equivalent to 4.2 kg/plot, k2 = 20 tonnes/ha, equivalent to 8.4 kg/plot, k3 30 tons/ha, equivalent to 12.6 kg/plot, k4 = 40 tonnes/ha, equivalent to 16.8 kg/plot. Variables observed include green level of leaf (SPAD unit), leaf area (cm2), dry weight of the upper part of the plant (g), root volume (cm3), root dry weight (cm3), The number of pods per plant (fruit), length of pods ( cm) and weight of pods per plant (g). Results showed significant effect on the variable observation pod length and pod weight plant however   not real effect on the variable observation root volume, root dryweight, leaf area, leaf chlorophyll, and plant dry weightand number of pods.

Abstract

The Urgency of Agricultural Extension Competence in Empowering Pepper Farming Groups on the Border of West Kalimantan. The aim of the research is to describe the urgency of the competency of agricultural instructors in the context of empowering pepper farmer groups on the West Kalimantan border. The type of research is descriptive qualitative. Research data is primary and secondary data. Validate data by triangulating sources and methods. The data analysis technique uses interactive analysis. The results of the research conclude: (1) The target of the extension program is to increase the empowerment of pepper farmer groups, so that pepper farmers receive various information about pepper cultivation so that their production increases and at the same time their income increases; (2) Agricultural extension programs can be successful if they are based on the principles of community empowerment which include: Integrated Development, Human Rights, Sustainability, Empowerment, Self- Reliance, Organic Development, The Integrity of Process, Co-operation, and Participation; (3) The competence of extension workers has a very important contribution in determining the success of the extension program or empowerment of pepper farmers, because the competence of extension workers will increase the competence of farmers in the aspects of knowledge, skills and active participation in managing farmer groups.

Abstract

This study aimed to assess and compare the soil erodibility (K) in the former mining land (quarry C) with different degree of slope on the hills in the Village area Sedau. Analysis of the data used deskriktif analysis. Ie using paired T test, soil sampling was carried out with a free grid method in soil samples taken in the form of intact or undisturbed and disturbed soil samples. Observation point includes 3 levels of the slope of the former mining land (quarry C), the slope of the land 250, 300 land slope, and the slope of the land 450. where in each class a different slope samples taken 5 points of observation with a depth of 0-10 cm layer. The measurement includes the observation variables, (a) texture, (b) permeability, (c) organic materials, (d) size of the soil structure. The average value of soil erodibility obtained classified into low soil erodibility class, with range values ranged erodibility (0.11 to 0.20) which erodibility values contained in the slope class 250 value 0,18 and in the slope class 300 have the value of 0.15 , while the slope for class 450 with a value of 0.15.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of tillage on the amount of deposits of weed seeds in the soil on alluvial soil. Research conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture experimental field Tanjungpura in August to December 2014. Identification and data processing carried out at the Laboratory of Plant Pests Tanjungpura University . Research using observation method with weeds growing vegetation analysis after tillage. Observations were made after 1 times tillage , 2 times , 3 times and 4 times. Results of this study indicate that there are five species of weeds that have the highest amount of seed bank with a value of SDR above 10 % and is considered an important weed that is, Borreria alata, Cyrtococcum sp, Ageratum conyzoides, Ludwigia parennis and Phyllantus debilis. Based on the results of this study concluded that as many as 1 times tillage can reduce the weed seed bank  in the soil deposits if done before the weeds produce seeds.

Abstract

Perubahan yang terjadi karena adanya perkebunan kelapa sawit akan berdampak baik atau buruk pada masyarakat sekitar. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak sosial dan ekonomi yang ditimbulkan oleh berdirinya perkebunan kelapa sawit PT.MAK (Musthika Abadi Khatulistiwa). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif, dan hipotesisnya diuji dengan Uji Mann Whitney. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sekilap Kecamatan Mandor Kabupaten Landak dan sampelnya terdiri dari 44 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa berdirinya perkebunan kelapa sawit PT.MAK di Desa Sekilap telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan terhadap berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat. Terdapat dampak positif yang mencakup peningkatan pendidikan, akses kesehatan yang lebih baik, peningkatan infrastruktur jalan, akses terhadap teknologi komunikasi, peningkatan pendapatan, dan lapangan kerja, namun dampak negatif juga terlihat, seperti menurunnya minat terhadap pendidikan pada sebagian remaja, kerusakan lingkungan, penurunan kualitas hubungan sosial, peningkatan konflik sosial, dan perubahan perilaku sosial yang menunjukkan penurunan dalam partisipasi dalam kegiatan gotong-royong dan berkontribusi. Dari aspek ekonomi, berdirinya perkebunan kelapa sawit PT.MAK telah memberikan dampak positif dengan meningkatnya jenis pekerjaan, peningkatan pendapatan masyarakat, dan peningkatan harga jual tanah. Namun, dampak negatif seperti pencurian buah kelapa sawit dan ketidaksetaraan ekonomi antara perusahaan pekerja dan non-pekerja juga terjadi.
