Abstract

Laboratory activities are important of science learning at any level. At the elementary school lab work needs to be done in the context of daily life in order to training scientific literacy. This study aims to determine how the teacher's perspective on science teaching in primary schools in Sukabumi, West Java in the academic year 2015/2016. Research methods such as survey, data analysis quantitatively and qualitatively. Data collection  used is a kuosioner sheet and interview guides to explore the teacher's perspective grade 4 and 5 primary school in implementing and understanding the context-based practicum. The results  showed all the teachers (100%) stated the laboratory activities is important to be implemented, but most of the teachers (75%) stated the laboratory activities difficult to implemented. Teachers argued do not understand the practicum as an activity that can be done simply based on the context of everyday life in an effort to train science literacy (97%). The results of the elementary teacher's perspective is able to provide precise information about the condition of learning science as a material improvement regarding practical learning becomes more meaningful. Keywords: practical laboratory, context, Scientific Literacy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang minat mahasiswa semester awal tahun ajaran 2009/2010 pada materi biologi di program studi pendidikan biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Sampel berjumlah 30 mahasiswa yang berasal dari lima kabupaten dan satu kotamadya di Kalimantan Barat yaitu kabupaten Pontianak, Kubu Raya, Sintang, Sanggau, Singkawang, dan Kotamadya Pontianak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa instrumen skala minat. Secara khusus penelitian ini menghasilkan hal-hal sebagai bcrikut: (l) sebagian besar (56.8%) materi biologi yang terdapat dalam KTSP sangat diminati oleh mahasiswa: (2) minat mahasiswapada materi biologi berada dalam kategori cukup berminat.

Abstract

Teachers understanding on the nature of science will determine types of students learning activities in the class. In designing a science teaching-learning process meaningfully, a teacher should consider and pay attention to the learning activities. They are (1) logical plane activities; (2) evidental or experiental plane activities; (3) psychological plane activities. A science text-books centered teaching should be modified because, the students comprehension about science products (concept and principles) could not be developed meaningfully by using text-books only. This culture is also contrary with the nature of science and is not able to build a science and technology literate people.Key words: Teachers understanding; learning activities

Abstract

Natural Chemistry Learning Resources in the form of PowerPoints, scientific journals and books have not accommodated the needs of students. This research aims to provide natural chemical supplement books on the Premna genus as a source of antimicrobial metabolites that are feasible to use based on aspects of validity and practicality. The development model utilized in this study is the Dick and Carey model which includes: identifying learning objectives, analyzing learning, analyzing learners and contexts, formulating specific learning goals, developing assessment instruments, developing learning strategies, developing and selecting teaching materials, designing and developing formative evaluation, and revising the product. The researcher applied research techniques in the form of interviews and observations. The tools used in this research were interview guidelines, student and lecturer response questionnaires, and practice questions in groups. Based on the results of the assessment by material experts and media specialists, this teaching material has a validity value of 91.6% and the practicality of individual trials is 84.51% and small group trials are 76.39%.ABSTRAKPembelajaran Kimia Bahan Alam terdapat sumber belajar berupa powerpoint, jurnal ilmiah dan buku belum mengakomodir kebutuhan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Buku suplemen Kimia Bahan Alam Pada Tanaman Genus Premna Sebagai Sumber Metabolit Antimikroba yang layak digunakan berdasarkan aspek kevalidan dan kepraktisan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model Dick and Carey meliputi: mengidentifikasi tujuan pembelajaran, melakukan analisis pembelajaran, menganalisis pembelajar dan konteks, merumuskan tujuan pembelajaran khusus, mengembangkan instrumen penilaian, mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran, mengembangkan dan memilih bahan ajar, merancang dan mengembangkan evaluasi formatif, dan melakukan revisi produk. Teknik yang digunakan meliputi wawancara dan observasi. Alat yang digunakan adalah pedoman wawancara, angket respon mahasiswa dan dosen serta soal latihan dalam kelompok. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian oleh ahli materi dan ahli media memiliki nilai kevalidan sebesar 91,6% dan kepraktisan uji coba perorangan sebesar 84,51% serta uji coba kelompok kecil sebesar 76,39%.Kata Kunci: Antimikroba, Buku suplemen, Dick and Carey, Tanaman Genus Premna.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to characterize impedance, capasitance and relative permitivity of the characteristics of electric thin film ZnS and ZnS:Mn. This research was started from making thin film with different deposition speed and with thermal co-evaporation method in vakum tubes.  The estimation is the characteristics of thin film ZnS impedance and ZnS:Mn was done outside this vacum with various frequency between thousaund to million hertzs, with different deposition speed and the same thickness. Defining impedance of ZnS thin film wich the most optimal frequency would influence capasitance and relative permittivity of the thin film on the characteristics of the electricity. Besides, capasitance and resitance values of ZnS:Mn thin film would change if given different Mn portion on that thin film. From the result of the research, it could be identified as follows. On the area of the thousand to ten thousand Hertz, it was know is that relative permitivity/constante static dielectrics K(0) ZnS:Mn thin film was not the frequency function that it could be regarded as constant like K(o) = 10. The price of capasitance ZnS:Mn was increasing with less Mn amount in that thin film. The price of ZnS:Mn electric resitance is reduced with less Mn amount on  that thin film. Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure the ability of the experimental design students PGMIPAU in the practicum General Biology.The title practicum General Biology is respiration with the implementation of inquiry based laboratory activities are generated lesson.The method used in this study was a pretest - posttest control group design. The sample in this study is a first semester student PGMIPAU the 2013/2014 school year in the practicum General Biology. The instruments used is guidance practicum, worksheet, and inquiry test by multiple choice. The results show the ability of the experimental design students PGMIPAU in the practicum General Biology with inquiry -based laboratory activities are generated lesson in the very good category is determine the type of problem have average 96%. Beside that, the ability determining purpose of the experiment in the good category with average percentage 85%. Key word: inquiry based laboratory, respiration.

Abstract

AbstractThe people in Rasau Jaya Umum village Kubu Raya regency have used plants as ingredient food that has been inherited from generation to generation for daily cooking or to make the typical food. The typical food in Rasau Jaya Umum village like Rengginang, crackers, and salted fish. The purpose of research to collect data of plants used as food additives by people in Rasau Jaya Umum village. The respondents were chosen through snowball sampling technique and then given a series of questions using observation sheet. The head in Rasau Jaya Umum village is chosen as the main respondent then proceeded to the traders and home industry owners who produce the typical food. The results showed that there are 18 species of 15 plant families used as natural additives, namely Liliaceae, Zingiberaceae, Amaranthaceae, Oxalidaceae, Rutaceae, Arecaceae, Poaceae, Gnetaceae, Malvaceae, Cactaceae, Pandanaceae, Piperaceae, Polygonaceae, Anacardiaceae, and Myrtaceae.Keywords: plants, food additives, Rasau Jaya Umum village

Abstract

Implementasi Problem Posing ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran Fisika siswa SMA di sekolah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan secara kolaboratif dengan setting Lesson Study. Pelaksanaan Lesson Study memiliki tiga tahap yaitu : Plan (merencanakan kegiatan pembelajaran); Do (pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas dengan dihadiri observer); dan See (diskusi dan refleksi proses pembelajaran). Lesson Study dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus di SMAN 7 dan SMAN 4 Pontianak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan refleksi perkuliahan dapat meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran. Hasil angket dan wawancara siswa menunjukkan peningkatan minat siswa yaitu 78,94 % pada siklus I dan 80,00 % pada siklus II. Jadi secara umum pelaksanaan Lesson Study dapat meningkatkan minat siswa pada bidang studi Fisika. Kata kunci : lesson study, problem posing

Abstract

This research is aimed to investigate the influence of implementing physic?s test questions with picture to senior high school students for the increasing of physic students? learning outcome. Research is done in four different schools from different regencies in west Borneo by using data collection tools in form of analytical test to the students grade XI. The research is done by comparing the students? test result who has given the analytical test  (verbal representation) and analytical test with picture (verbal representation and picture). Research outcome shows that most of the student learning outcome who has given the test question with picture is higher (11.57) rather than student learning outcome who has given the test question without picture (9.89) . Abstract

This aims this study is to obtain objective information about the learning outcome after implementation of type STAD cooperative learning model on basic statistics course in third semester of  PAPK Program in Biology Education. In addition, this study develop students?s ability to understand in working together to solve and resolve the problem. The samples of study were third semester students in  PAPK program who follow the Basic Statistics course in Biology Education Departement of PMIPA FKIP Untan 2016-2017. Implementation in the data presentation focused on the subject matter, size and placement of the central symptoms.The data collection conducted in providing achievement test after being given treatment. Form of test is essay with 2 questions which consist of 13 questions. The results showed if the  type STAD cooperative learning model is one model that could improve student?s outcome on the subject presentation of the data, the size of the placement and symptoms in statistics basic course.Keyword: STAD cooperative learning model
