MANAJEMEN IKM: Jurnal Manajemen Pengembangan Industri Kecil Menengah

Perintisan jurnal sebagai berkala ilmiah berwawasan nasional dimulai sejak Februari 2006 dengan nama Jurnal MPI dengan No. ISSN 1907-3127 yang memuat 9 judul artikel pada setiap edisi. Mulai terbitan edisi September 2009, judulnya dirubah menjadi Jurnal Manajemen IKM dengan No. ISSN 2085-8418 dan E-ISSN 2622-9250. Jurnal Manajemen IKM selama ini mampu menjadi sarana penyebarluasan informasi ilmiah kepada para dosen atau peneliti lainnya, maupun masyarakat pengguna, serta sarana pengembangan. Manajemen IKM (P-ISSN 2085-8418; E-ISSN 2622-9250) merupakan Jurnal Manajemen Pengembangan Industri Kecil Menengah (IKM) yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Magister Pengembangan Industri Kecil Menengah (MPI) Sekolah Pascasarjana IPB sejak September 2006, memuat kegiatan dunia usaha kecil menengah (UKM), khususnya IKM beserta instansi yang terkait seperti perbankan, departemen teknis dan usaha swasta besar dan petani/nelayan, dalam Bahasa Indonesia maupun Bahasa Inggris. Manajemen IKM terbit setiap 6 bulan sekali (Februari dan September) dan ditujukan sebagai wadah untuk mengkomunikasikan hasil-hasil penelitian dari kajian tugas akhir mahasiswa MPI, khususnya yang terkait dengan pembinaan dan pengembangan IKM. Namun demikian, tulisan yang diterima Manajemen IKM terbuka bagi berbagai kalangan yang memiliki ketertarikan dalam pembinaan dan pengembangan IKM, baik itu peneliti, penyuluh, maupun pengusaha. Dengan diterbitkannya jurnal ini, maka kedepannya diharapkan lebih dipahami potensi, kendala dan pengembangan IKM melalui pendekatan holistik dan sinergi yang dilihat dari faktor-faktor ekonomi, manajerial dan faktor-faktor lainnya seperti kemitraan

Abstract

Food business competition in Indonesia is very diverse, because this promising industry is populated only by several large and small companies. Among the wide range of products produced by the company, there are not many food products making health as daily consumption product. Soyjoy is the first healthy product bar in Indonesia. Soyjoy sales in the Bogor area actually showed growth each year. These conditions encourage PT Amerta Indah Otsuka as Soyjoy producer to innovate and develop products with different attributes of the product in order to attract consumers to make purchases. This research is aimed to describe the Soyjoy consumer characteristics and sales trends in the area of Bogor, the effect of quality, brand image, pricing, and packaging (jointly or partial) on Soyjoy consumer buying interest and which attributes is the most dominant influence on buying interest Soyjoy in Bogor area analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study showed that the quality, brand image and price positive and significant impact on consumer buying interest, and consumer buying interest and a significant positive influence on purchasing decisions. This research may provide an answer to the problem that quality is the consumer top priority in determining the choice between healthy snacks in the market. To improve purchasing decisions, companies need to increase buying interest in advance through product quality, brand image and price.

Abstract

Case study is conducted towards 12 SME milkfish processors in Bekasi, at which its raw materials are originated from Karawang Regency through a fresh milkfish supply chain. The potentcy of Karawang Regency as a milkfish producer does not guarantee continuous availability of the raw materials. The objectives of this study were: (1) To evaluate supply chain; and (2) To compile a priority strategy of fresh milkfish supply chain management in Bekasi, West Java. Data collection was conducted by purposive and snowball sampling techniques, starting from SME processors, retailers and collective traders in Bekasi, to milkfish farmers in Ciparage Jaya Village, Tempuran Sub-District, Karawang Regency. The study used descriptive analysis, evaluation by comparing the activities of the members of the supply chain with the existing standards, Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The evaluation result showed there was gap between the activities of each supply chain member with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) namely (1) implementation of GMP and SSOP by SME processors, (2) means of transport and storage of fresh fish by collective trader and retailer, (3) good aquaculture practices by farmer and (4) supply chain management by all members along the supply chain. Based on the SWOT and AHP matrix analyses, the development strategies of supply chain by actor was (1) the formation of raw material procurement network and marketing network by SME processor (0.326); (2) the quality improvement of human resource by the government (0.249); (3) the formation of organizations by farmer (0.230), and (4) maintaining partnership in business procurement cost by collective trader (0.195).

Abstract

As a part of Micro Small Medium Enterprises, home industry plays a very important role as new jobs provider that is expected to decrease unemployment and distribute wealth among society. Home industry development needs to be done in Kendal Regency. However in its implementation, this home industry faces many problems, one of them is marketing. It shows that there needs to be right marketing method and strategy to develop home industries. One of the approaches that is used right now by Small Medium Enterprises is entrepreneurial marketing. This research aims to (1) analyze the achievement being practiced by home industry in Kendal, (2) analyze the impact entrepreneurial marketing has towards the marketing performance of Kendal’s home industry. Respondents in this research are 67 home industry entrepreneur in Kaliwangu district and Patebon district, Kendal Regency. Sampling method uses non probability sampling method with convenience sampling technique. The data was analyzed with transformation index analysis and structural equation modeling with partial least square approach (SEM PLS). The result of the research shows that the implementation of entrepreneurial marketing has been quite good and the biggest aspect of entrepreneurial marketing is shown by strategic ability. According to SEM PLS analysis, concept, strategy, and market intelligence variables on entrepreneurial marketing are significant to marketing performance.

Abstract

The research analyzes the financial resources, intangible assets (innovation capital, human capital, and customer capital), competitive advantage and financial performance, also analyzing its effect and analyzing business feasibility from the point view of Net Present Value (NPV), Profitability Index (PI), Payback Period (PP) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) on cow commodities, corn and seaweed (PIJAR). The method used is qualitative and quantitative, the respondent are choose by purposive sampling with the criteria of SME which conduct their business on cow commodities, corn and seaweed at Lombok NTB Region. This research is using the Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis which is a statistical method on varian basis. The research results obtained by the Financial Resource Capacity has well sufficient capacity of (3.29), Intangible Asset have well sufficient capacity of (3.86), well good for Competitive Strategy Excellence Cost of (3.92) and quite good Financial Performance. The influence among variables on the seaweed commodities : (1) Financial Resource does not affect the financial performance and price competitive competition, so the financial resources capacity is well good, although its not yet able to contribute on the financial performance; (2) Innovation capital affect on financial performances but do not affect on competitive strategy; human capital affect on the financial performance and competitive strategy; customer capital affect on the financial performance and competitive strategy; and (3) The business feasibility for PIJAR commodities are very well based on the view point of NPV, PP, PI and IRR.

Abstract

Ideally the performance of a Government employees (PNS) aretheir service to the community in living and meeting their daily needs. The final goal of the PNS none other than to improve the welfare of society. Government Remuneration is an integral part of bureaucratic reform policy. Base on the bureaucracy awareness and also the government commitment to create a clean and good governmance. The purpose of bureaucratic reformation is to build a public trust (public trust building) and eliminate the negative image of government bureaucracy. The bureaucratic reformation vision is the establishment of the State apparatus professional and good governance. The mission is to change the pattern of bureaucratic reform mindset, cultural set, and the system of governance. Implementation of remuneration applied at LAPAN on July 2013 granted in accordance with the competences of the employees, work performance of the employees, and work discipline. The objective of this analysis is to analyze the relationship with remuneration and organizational culture, and the influence of remuneration to the employee competencies, organizational culture on employee competencies, employee competence to employee performance, remuneration to employee performance and the influence of organizational culture on employee performance. Analysis of the data used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results of Study in simultaneously and partially are known to constructs remuneration, organizational culture, and employee competence positive effect on the performance of employees at every level positions and there is a correlation relationship between Construct Remunerasi and Cultural Organization to all employees and the level of structural positions and Special and strong correlation relationships at the level of the General Functional

Abstract

The poultry industry in Indonesia often experience ups and downs the last few years. The volatility of broiler effort to shocks opportunities to develop local businesses like poultry chicken that is currently growing in popularity compared with other poultry meat. Chicken poultry industry is highly prospective, given the need for animal protein derived from poultry meat is increasing and is supported by the rapid development of the culinary industry today. The purpose of this study to identify the factors affecting the competitiveness of the poultry industry chicken. Descriptive research method, processed and analyzed using the Porter Diamond Model. The results showed the factors that influence competitiveness the poultry industry kampong chicken which has the highest attribute values, namely: human resources, the number of buyers and buyer growth rate, breeding, industrial replacement products, roadmap and business plan development of chicken, a conducive business climate. Attributes of the lowest infrastructure, capital resources, integration of industry suppliers and facilitation of exports.

Abstract

Small-medium enterprises (SME) is a sectors who get special attention from Indonesia Government to face ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). Bandung is a city in West Java with a good growth on SME. But, SME have not awareness on their product legality. So, Bandung Government, make collaboration with State Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade  Industry and Ministry of Justice and Human Rights Bandung City, to make a new programs for protecting SME in Bandung. This purpose of this research were: (1) to know the adoption rate of trademark IPR facilitation programs in Bandung, (2) to analyze the factors can influence SME to take a decision for adopt the fasilitation programs of trademark intellectual property rights (IPR) for SME, and (3) to analyze the effect SME chararacteristic toward adoption rate of trademark IPR facilitation programs in Bandung, and Research was conducted in Bandung, since in June 2015 to April 2016. The results showed adoption rate in IPR trademark facilitating program, that most of SMEs registering IPR trademark were late majority. Around 51.50 percent of respondents registered on September and October 2014. Attribute of innovation are have influenced to take a decision, so give influenced too for adoption rate this program. But communication channel and communicator did not influence rate of adoption. SMEs characteristic did not influence significantly adoption rate  of the program

Abstract

OBK is the company's acquisition in 2013. This acquisition led to a change in the managerial rank that influence new policies were implemented company. New policy of employee development as an effort to increase the performance of the company. This study aimed to analyze the perception of Workshop division employee of accomplished trainings at OBK Company and their improved performance after the training. This study analyze the relationship between the respondents perceptions towards accomplished training activities and the perceptions towards performance after the training. The perception data were processed using an average test score, the correlation using Pearson’s rank test and training Need Assessment Tool (TNA-T) to analyze the employee training needed. The results showed that the perception of production and PPIC subdivisions are satisfied with the training organized by the company and the perception of Maintenance and QC subdivision are quite satisfied. Perception on the improved performance of Production, QC and PPIC subdivisions after the training is increased on the average. Meanwhile the performance of Maintenance subdivision is enough. The relationship between the variables of training and improved performance in Production, PPIC, QC and Maintenance subdivision has a positive direction. This shows that the higher the perception of the training, the higher the perception of improved performance. A strong and significant relationship between training and improved performance are on Production, QC and PPIC subdivisions. Respondent perceptions on these subdivisions are high on the average. On the Maintenance subdivision, the relationship is low and not significant between training and performance. Low relationship is assumed to occur because the assessments of respondents tend to vary on the training variable. The result of TNA tools that  training is required by all respondents but not urgent.

Abstract

Shrimp is one of the leading commodity of fishery sector in Indonesia because the number of export increasing the foreign exchange for this country. In globalization era, business has fierce competition, so that the quality is a keyword to succeed. Therefore, shrimp hatcheries must be certified. The objectives are to: (1) study the related Good Hatchery Practices (GHP) regulation, (2) Analyze the relationship of application of GHP on shrimp hatchery performances, (3) measure the performance of shrimp hatcheries, (4) identify the Gap of the application of GHP. Content analysis, multiple regression analysis and important-performance analysis (IPA) was used to process the data. Result of content analysis showed that there were no regulation contain the obligation that every farmer must be certified in order to control the seed shrimp quality. Result of multiple regression analysis revealed that the application of GHP had positive impact on shrimp hatchery performances and the most influence factors were food safety and environment. Important-performance analysis showed that the best performance was the availability of adequate production equipment. Average production after applied the GHP principles showed that production increased by 19%. Level of concordance between expectation and performance on hatcheries to meet customer satisfaction and consistency of GHP implementation showed a negative gap value by -1.118, overall performance on hatcheries have not meet customer satisfaction and inconsistent implementing GHP principles

Abstract

Policy ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) lead to competition in the cosmetics industry is increasing. Performance operation-production must be increased in order to produces cosmetic quality standards of ASEAN. Research conducted in medium-scale cosmetic companies PT ANI, with the aim of determining the mission and objectives, business strategy, operating strategy based on priority performance goals operation-production function and formulate strategy and policy for operation-production resource and process development. Research methods with descriptive qualitative and and analysis tools used are SWOT analysis, SFAS matrix, Porter Generic Strategy, TOWS matrix,   operations strategy matrix and the AHP for weighting internal/eksternal strategic factors and prioritize operation-production strategy determination. Based on the results of this study concluded that PT ANI mission is produce facial and personal care cosmetics using natural active ingredients that are safe and good quality, to capture domestic and overseas niece market. The company's business strategy is competitive strategy of differentiation focus and serve the manufacture of face and personal care cosmetics with variants and volume according to customer requirements.  The development of resources and operation-production  processes priority is to meet the five performance objectives, namely quality (0,454), reliability (0,270), flexibility (0,147), speed (0,082) and cost (0,048). On the other hand operation-production strategic priority to meet the performance targets is a process technology (0,425), supply chain network (0,235), capacity (0,206), the development and organization (0,133).
