Abstract

Pregnant women are one of the populations at risk of contracting Human immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Syphilis, and Hepatitis B diseases in children more than 90% are infected from their mothers. The risk of mother-to-child transmission for HIV/AIDS is 20%-45%, for Syphilis is 69-80%, and for Hepatitis B is more than 90%. All three have the same transmission routes in the form of sexual intercourse, blood, and this transmission mostly occurs through vertical transmission from mother to fetus during pregnancy. Triple elimination is a program that aims to achieve and sustain mother-to-infant elimination of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, and Syphilis in order to achieve better health for women, children, and their families through a coordinated approach. Detection and prevention of HIV incidence during pregnancy or postpartum should be prioritized and is essential to reduce mother-to-child transmission of HIV. In line with the increasing cases of mother-to-child HIV transmission, the government has made various control efforts through the PPIA or PMTCT (Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission) program. This research used field research to obtain qualitative data. Researchers go to the field to make observations about a phenomenon in a natural situation and are closely related to participant-observation. The results of the research obtained ANC services have been running well. Barriers to ANC access are related to cultural aspects and organizational systems that have not made maximum efforts to improve services, especially STIs (HIV/AIDS). At Puskesmas Helvetia, every pregnant woman will be directed to do HIV testing. Integrated ANC services have been running well. Routine technical training to improve obstetric competence for midwives and other supporting training needed as well as laboratory examination training for laboratory analysts (including STI and HIV/AIDS testing training) has been running well and systematically.

Abstract

Giving support to women's breastfeeding after cesarean sections is important to adjust their attitudes, belief systems, and external environments, as well as help them improve their confidence. Information support provided by health workers is an initial effort to influence the understanding of mothers and families about the benefits of breastfeeding. This was a qualitative with a phenomenological approach that explores the various experiences of post-cesarean mothers in providing exclusive breastfeeding. The analysis used was thematic analysis with the help of the Nvivo 12 Plus software. The results of this study revealed three main themes regarding obstacles to exclusive breastfeeding for post-sectio caesarean mothers. The themes are anxiety, lack of knowledge, physical discomfort, and lack of support. The anxiety of breastfeeding mothers greatly influences their intention to provide exclusive breastfeeding. The first step in encouraging mothers to continue with exclusive breastfeeding is for health professionals to educate more people about it. Physical discomfort for post-sectio caesarean mothers can increase mothers' anxiety about breastfeeding.

Abstract

Pregnant mother with Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) are pregnant women who suffer from a lack of calories and protein (malnutrition). Factors that influence CED pregnant women include age and parity. Age will affect the ability or experience of parents in providing nutrition, while parity is a woman who has given birth to a live (viable) baby. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between age and parity with the incidence of CED in pregnant women at the Gaji Kerek Health Center, Tuban Regency. The study used comparative analysis with a case and control approach. The sample are 80 people consisting of 40 pregnant women with CED and 40 without CED, sample was taken by simple random sampling technique. In this study, age and parity were the independent variables and chronic energy deficiency was the dependent variable. Data collected from secondary data were then analyzed by testing the contingency coefficient with a significance of α <0.05. The study showed most of the pregnant women who experienced CED (case group) occurred at the risk age and almost all of the pregnant women who did not experience CED (control group) occurred at the non-risk age. Most of the pregnant women who experienced CED (case group) and without CED (control groups) were multiparous. Based the result of this study, there is correlation between age and parity with the incidence of CED in pregnant mother (p-value = 0.000). Suggested to health workers at the Puskesmas Gaji to screen nutritional status as early as possible in their teens and carry out treatment to reduce the incidence of CED in pregnant women.

Abstract

The Pregnant Women Class is a study group for pregnant women with a gestational age between 4 weeks to 36 weeks (before delivery) with a maximum number of participants of 10 people. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the Pregnancy Class on Primigravida Mothers' Anxiety at the Kabanjahe Community Health Center in 2023. This research is quantitative research. This research uses correlational research. Population is the subject of research. The population in this study were all primigravida mothers with a gestational age of 8-37 weeks, namely 30 people. The research sample and the sampling technique used a total sampling technique, namely 30 people, so the entire population was used as the research sample. The time period required for this research is April to July 2023. The location of this research will be carried out at the Kabanjahe Community Health Center, Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency in 2023. This analysis was carried out to see the relationship between the independent variable (class of pregnant women) and the dependent variable (level of maternal anxiety primigravida). Does this variable have a significant relationship. In this analysis the statistical test used is the Chi Square test with a significant p-value (0.05). The results of the Spearman correlation analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between the class of pregnant women and primigravida anxiety with P = 0.010 with a strong correlation coefficient value between the class of pregnant women and the anxiety of primigravida mothers. If the class variable for pregnant women increased then the anxiety variable for primigravida mothers decreased and conversely, if the class variable for pregnant women decreases, the anxiety variable for primigravida mothers increases. Abstract

Pregnancy anemia is where the hemoglobin level is less than 11 grams or less than 33% at any time during the first trimester of pregnancy. Keywords: Pregnant women's class, pregnancy, anxiety, primigravida. Research objectives: To determine the relationship between age and parity of pregnant women in the third trimester and the incidence of anemia in pregnancy at the Nd Clinic. Retno, Kabanjahe sub-district, Karo district in 2023. This research design uses a descriptive research design with a cross-sectional quantitative approach. This research was carried out in April-July 2023. The research population was all pregnant women who visited and were hospitalized at the Nd Clinic. Retno, Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency, namely 43 people. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample in this study was 43 people. Bivariate analysis was carried out on two variables that were thought to be related (Notoatmodjo: 2012). The statistical tests used in this research are the Chi Square test (x2) and the Fisher's Exact Test. This test is used because the data to be analyzed is categorical data. To see the significance of the statistical calculation results, a significance limit of α=0.05 is used so that if statistical analysis results are found with a p value <0.05, the relationship between the two variables is declared meaningful or significant. especially those who suffer from anemia, so that they know how their HB levels are progressing to normal. Future researchers need to carry out further research in order to develop knowledge, especially about anemia in pregnant women.
