Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of Pancasila values in the era of globalization, improve adolescents' understanding of the dangers of drugs and free sex, and examine the quality of health services within the National Health Insurance Program (JKN). Globalization has brought negative consequences including the erosion of Pancasila values, rising drug abuse, promiscuity among adolescents, and uneven healthcare service quality. This research employed a literature review and a retrospective observational approach through a systematic review using meta-synthesis techniques, supplemented by a counseling program for 50 adolescents in Simpang 1 Village on July 22, 2023. Respondents' understanding rose from 58% before the session to 86% afterward. Chi-Square test results showed p < 0.05, indicating a significant relationship between service quality and patient satisfaction among JKN participants, with service speed, healthcare worker friendliness, and facility conditions as the primary determinants. Strengthening Pancasila values through adolescent education and improving healthcare service quality are two mutually reinforcing strategies for addressing globalization's pressures. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for the government, educators, and healthcare professionals in designing more effective character-building and public service programs.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) hold substantial potential in advancing Islamic value-based economic development; however, many students (santri) remain unfamiliar with entrepreneurship concepts and practices that could strengthen their financial independence. This study aims to cultivate students' entrepreneurial spirit through a community service program titled Santripreneurship: Training Students to Be Independent, conducted at Hamalatul Quran Al-Karimah Islamic Boarding School, Pare, Kediri, East Java. The implementation method included observation, preparation, socialization, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), with the Business Model Canvas (BMC) applied as a structured tool for business idea development. Using a participatory approach, students were guided to identify business opportunities within the pesantren environment, define target market segments, and draft simple business strategies grounded in Islamic principles. Results showed an increase in students' entrepreneurial knowledge, improved capacity to construct basic business models, and the emergence of concrete business ideas — including healthy juice production and bicycle rental services around the English Village (Kampung Inggris) area. The program also built students' awareness that entrepreneurship carries both spiritual and social dimensions. The Santripreneurship training proved effective in fostering student independence and reinforcing the pesantren's role as a center for Islamic-based economic empowerment.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve the economic independence of parents or guardians of students at the Tahfidz Hidayah Orphanage in Sukadamai, Bogor, West Java, through a meatball-making training program. The program was carried out in three stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The planning stage involved site surveys, scheduling, and coordination of facilities. The implementation stage covered entrepreneurship education, demonstrations by the training team, and hands-on practice with emphasis on hygiene standards and product quality. Results from the evaluation stage showed an average product score of 86.66, placing participant performance in the good category. Questionnaire data further confirmed that the instructional materials were easy to follow, the demonstrations were well-structured, and the available facilities were sufficient to support the training activities. This practice-based training proved effective in building participants' technical competence and strengthening their motivation to pursue independent entrepreneurial ventures.

Abstract

Rose cultivation in Karangpring Village, Jember Regency, has long been trapped in a low-value commodity chain — sold as fresh cut flowers for grave ceremonies, with farmers earning well below the regional minimum wage. This community service program addresses that gap by applying a creative economy approach to transform raw rose commodities into marketable food and non-food products, including rose syrup, rose jam, bakpia, reed diffusers, and aromatherapy candles. The program was carried out through Focus Group Discussions (FGD), hands-on production training, and structured mentoring sessions with the Women Farmers Community (Kelompok Wanita Tani), covering product development, brand identity, and digital marketing through platforms such as Shopee and Instagram. Beyond product diversification, the program pursued a broader objective: building a self-sustaining creative economy community under village government oversight, capable of managing production, distribution, and market expansion independently. Outcomes indicate a positive shift in community capacity, with consistent participation across five to ten sessions and early market traction through repeat orders at the local level. The program also contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of economic welfare, commodity literacy, and responsible resource use. Scaling this initiative from a community unit to a full creative industry will require strategic investment and partnership — a challenge that remains open.

Abstract

In the face of increasing financial complexity, providing elementary school students with fundamental financial literacy knowledge has become more imperative. Financial literacy is an essential life skill, but traditional teaching methods may not capture student's attention. This community service project sought to improve financial literacy among students at SDN 11 Pemecutan, Denpasar, through the gamification method "LIFIN" (Literacy Financial) using the PALAR (Participatory Action Learning and Action Research) approach. A total of 65 sixth-grade students participated. A pre-test was conducted one week prior with 54 students, while 39 completed the post-test two months later. Analysis of the 39 matched students showed an improvement in correct answers from 51% to 84.6%, and 71.8% showed high engagement with gamification, proving that game-based financial literacy education provides an interactive and effective learning experience. SDN 11 Pemecutan has committed to adopting "LIFIN" regularly across all grade levels.

Abstract

Marginalized children are prone to developing a fixed mindset that hinders their learning persistence. This community service program aimed to strengthen the learning resilience of children at Sanggar Lentera Anak Bali through swan origami activities and a Pohon Semangat (Spirit Tree) mural. Using a descriptive participatory design, 20 participants aged 7–17 engaged in a two-hour session consisting of growth mindset psychoeducation, a structured failure simulation through origami folding, collaborative games, and commitment mural creation. Observational, interview, and documentation data were analyzed thematically. Results indicated that 90% of children shifted their verbal response from "I cannot" to "I cannot yet," as measured by the frequency of positive affirmation use following the failure simulation, alongside a notable increase in independent task persistence. The mural served as a sustained visual affirmation that supported children's self-regulation. The combination of visual-kinesthetic media, local cultural values, and a social justice orientation proved effective in building children's learning resilience, with direct relevance to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and the 5th Principle of Pancasila.

Abstract

Public speaking is an essential skill that needs to be developed from an early age; however, many elementary school students still lack confidence in expressing their opinions. This community service activity aims to improve students' public speaking skills through interactive learning using the "Ceritain Dong!" card media at SDN 1 Abiansemal Dauh Yeh Cani, involving 28 fifth-grade students. The activity was designed using a descriptive qualitative approach, combining experiential learning and game-based learning principles. The method includes the delivery of basic speaking techniques, ice-breaking sessions, and direct practice through three types of card activities: question cards, challenge cards, and lucky cards. Evaluation was conducted through observation and pretest–posttest assessment using a Likert scale across three indicators: performance courage, self-confidence, and speaking fluency. The results indicate a tendency of improvement in students' abilities, as shown by the increase in the average score from 3.68 to 3.74, along with observable changes in participation, confidence, and clarity in expressing ideas, although the difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.508).

Abstract

Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDD) remain a serious threat to the health and cognitive development of adolescents. This community service activity aims to improve nutritional health literacy and practical skills among students of MA Asshodiqiyah Semarang in detecting iodine content in salt. The implementation method included interactive education, evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests, and hands-on practice of simple iodine testing. The program was conducted in December 2025 and involved 15 tenth-grade students at MA Asshodiqiyah. The results showed a significant increase in student understanding, with average knowledge scores rising from 58 (pre-intervention) to 86 (post-intervention). The skills evaluation further revealed that 85% of students were able to perform iodine testing independently and correctly. The combination of theoretical education and direct practice proved effective in raising students' critical awareness of the quality of salt they consume. This activity is expected to serve as a sustainable preventive strategy to combat IDD within school and pesantren (Islamic boarding school) environments.
