Abstract

Reading corners can be used to increase students' interest in reading. This research aims to improve students' reading ability through reading corners in junior high schools. What is contained in this research is how effective the reading corner is in increasing students' reading interest. What is the school doing to prepare for the reading corner movement in the classroom? What are the problems behind students' low interest in reading? This research is a qualitative descriptive study. This research uses data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation techniques, data reduction, data presentation. The techniques for checking the validity of the data used in this research are observation and interviews. There are several factors that influence improving students' reading ability through reading corners in junior high schools, namely having a reading corner in each class makes students more enthusiastic about reading books, and the reading corner in each class is made as attractive as possible.

Abstract

The aim of this research is: To describe how moral values education is implemented in Civics learning at SDK Onekore 1 Hayam Wuruk. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection in this research was obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis in this research uses qualitative data analysis techniques which include data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that: (1) Implementation of moral values in learning Pancasila and citizenship education, namely the values of discipline, honesty, religion, independence, responsibility, democracy, love of the country, and social care and demonstrated through attitudes or behavior that reflect these values. Moral values. (2) Factors supporting the implementation of moral values in citizenship education learning include the condition of the environment around the school, role models and habits, as well as meetings between educators and parents. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are the absence of educators, lack of parental attention, and excessive use of gadgets

Abstract

This research aims to find out how portfolio-based learning is implemented in social studies learning in class V of SDI Woowona 2, Rewarangga Village, East Ende District. This research is a qualitative research. Research subjects were class V students and class V teachers at SDI Woowona 2. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display (data presentation), and conclusion drawing/verification (drawing conclusions). Meanwhile, checking the validity of the data was carried out using triangulation techniques, namely source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of the research show that the implementation of portfolio-based learning in social studies learning in class V SDI Woowona 2 uses the method of creating an active student learning atmosphere, participatory learning, cooperative learning groups, reactive learning and fun learning. The obstacles faced in implementing portfolio-based learning in social studies learning in class V SDI Woowona 2 are that the use of time in portfolio-based learning in social studies learning takes a long time, costs money to create work, teachers are not diligent and patient in assessing students' work, teachers have not able to provide students with an understanding of the importance of responsibility.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to test the significance of scientific writing abilities among secondary school students. The research methodology used involved a literature review, specifically using library research, and adopted a descriptive qualitative approach. The analysis methodology includes a systematic exploration of diverse sources, including books, journals, and research, to understand, evaluate, and synthesize information related to the assessment of scientific writing skills in secondary educational institutions. According to the results of this research, an important component in the Indonesian language curriculum is learning to write scientific papers, which is taught during the secondary education phase. The process of writing a scientific paper is different from writing a regular composition. Achieving accuracy in writing requires the application of certain writing methods and techniques. Improving students' abilities in scientific writing includes several dimensions, including the preparation of the structure of scientific work, the ability to analyze problems and content, proficiency in grammar and spelling, proficiency in writing quotations and bibliography, as well as maintaining accuracy in scientific writing. Mastering writing skills, especially in the context of scientific work, is a complex endeavor with great challenges. Students face challenges in various aspects of scientific writing, including formulating titles, background information, problem statements, discussions, quotations and bibliography, as well as writing formats. Teachers are expected to provide better guidance to students in developing background information, formulating problem statements, building theoretical foundations, solving problems, and creating accurate and appropriate bibliography.

Abstract

This research is class action research (Class Action Research) which aims to improve social studies learning outcomes in class IV SDI Otombamba. The implementation of this research consisted of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and evaluation and reflection. The subjects in this research were 27 class IV students at SDI Otombamba, 14 male students and 13 female students. Data on the level of students' understanding of social studies subjects, material on natural appearance and socio-cultural diversity through giving tests at the end of the cycle. Data on student activity during the learning process is obtained from the results of observations filled in on the observation sheet. Data obtained from observations were analyzed qualitatively while data from sociology learning results were analyzed quantitatively. The research results showed that in the first cycle which was completed individually, only 11 students or 40.7% of the 27 students met the minimum completion criteria (KKM). Classically it has not been fulfilled because the average value obtained was 58.7. Meanwhile, in cycle II, 26 students or 96.7% had fulfilled the KKM and classically had been fulfilled, namely the average score obtained was 75.9. In cycle I, student learning outcomes were in the medium category. This means that student learning outcomes regarding subject matter have increased from the medium to high category. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the learning outcomes of SDI Otombamba students through the application of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model have increased.

Abstract

History learning at school, the learning model used by teachers is still felt to be very lacking in class XI IPS at SMA Muhammadiyah Ende Flores. The learning model used by teachers is just the same, resulting in students' activeness and independence in learning increasingly decreasing. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new learning model that can stimulate the activity and independence of students in class XI IPS at SMA Muhammadiyah Ende Flores in learning, namely the discussion and personal investigation learning model. This research uses RnD (Research and Development) which is a research method used to produce certain products and to test the effectiveness of these products. Researchers focus on developing discussion and personal investigation learning models which are intended to be able to develop a new learning model that can be applied in learning with clear steps according to scientific principles. The results of research on the development of discussion and personal investigation learning models in learning are as follows: (1) students are more active in learning, (2) students no longer rely on friends when there are assignments or discussions, (3) students can analyze problems that occur in learning easily. , (4) can foster a sense of responsibility in each student, especially responsibility as a group member, (5) with this learning model the learning process in class is more enjoyable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze education financing management based on the effectiveness and efficiency of education financing management and the use of technology in education financing management. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with secondary data collected through literature studies and analyzed qualitatively by reducing displays and concluding results. The results of this study indicate that effective and efficient education financing management in educational institutions is key to supporting the achievement of quality education goals. The management of education financial resources must pay attention to the essential stages, because education financing is considered an investment in human resource development. In this context, the effectiveness and efficiency of education cost management is essential to maximize educational outcomes. The current development of digital technology opens up great opportunities to optimally utilize the education financing system. With the adoption of information and communication technology, educational institutions can automate the financing process, integrate digital payment systems, and enable real-time monitoring of fund flows and financial reporting.

Abstract

This study was meant to analyze the psychological factors that influence the speaking ability of first semester students of English Department students in UNDIKMA, Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Psychology is the study of the nature of the human soul as well as its process. Psychology deals with the study of external behavior using objective observation methods for stimulation. In addition, there are some psychological factors that hinder students from speaking in English classes such as fear of making mistakes, shyness, anxiety, lack of confidence and lack of motivation. Those factors were commonly caused by their fear of being laughed at by their friends. Some psychological factors such as shyness and anxiety are considered as the main causes of students' reluctance to speak. This study was conducted in a qualitative approach. The population of this research was taken from A and B Classes from the first semester students of English Department students in UNDIKMA, Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara Province. The sample of the study consisted of 30 students. The researchers determined some techniques as the data sources, namely observation, documentation, field notes and tests or interviews. The researchers found that the psychological factors that contribute toward students' speaking abilities are as follows: students who have a fear of making mistakes, shame, anxiety, have low self-confidence, and those have low motivation will make them reluctant to speak in English because they found difficulties in speaking English.

Abstract

This article aims to find out strategies for overcoming violence against children through child-friendly Islamic boarding schools. This study was guided by a problem formulation, namely how to overcome violence against children through child-friendly Islamic boarding schools. This study is a literature review or often called a literature review. The analysis approach uses a content analysis approach. The author found that the strategy for overcoming violence against children through Child-Friendly Islamic Boarding Schools is: first, training of teaching staff; second, the establishment of a code of ethics and anti-violence policies; third, restorative approach; fourth, education on children's rights; fifth, the role of parents and family; sixth, carry out monitoring and evaluation; seventh, campaign and promotion of Child Friendly Islamic Boarding Schools; and eighth, leadership commitment. The results of this study contribute to strengthening the foundation for developing models and guidelines for Islamic boarding schools to become Child Friendly Islamic Boarding Schools.

Abstract

This research has the main objective of conducting an in-depth analysis of the role and function of leadership in the context of educational institutions, with a focus on improving performance and effectiveness. Through an analytical approach, this research aims to provide a deeper understanding of how leadership influences the dynamics of educational institutions and creates an optimal learning environment. This research identifies leadership practices that are effective in improving the overall quality of teaching, learning, and school management. In addition, this research analyzes the impact of leadership on staff well-being, teacher motivation, and student learning outcomes.The bibliographic method was adopted as the primary approach to collecting and analyzing data, allowing the researcher to detail key concepts and explore recent developments in the educational leadership literature.The research results show that leadership in the context of modern educational institutions is not only related to administrative functions, but also requires adaptation to environmental changes. Leadership functions involving strategic aspects, human resource development, and creating an inclusive organizational culture are the keys to achieving success in educational institutions. The leadership concepts introduced reflect diverse approaches to leading in educational institutions, able to adapt to the unique demands of complexity and dynamics in the world of modern education. Overall, this research contributes to the educational leadership literature and provides insights that educational institution leaders can use to improve and strengthen their role in achieving desired educational goals
