Abstract

General Background: Character education remains a pivotal aspect of holistic student development. Specific Background: In Indonesian Islamic schools, Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is instrumental in shaping discipline through structured religious routines. Knowledge Gap: However, limited studies deeply explore the sustainable role of PAI in cultivating discipline as a lived moral habit rather than mere curriculum content. Aims: This study aims to investigate how PAI contributes to instilling students’ disciplinary character through integrated religious activities in the school setting. Results: Employing a qualitative descriptive method at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Banyudono Special Program, data from observations, interviews, and documentation revealed that discipline is nurtured through daily practices such as congregational prayer, Qur'an memorization, and surah recitation. Novelty: The study highlights the proactive role of PAI teachers—not only as instructors but as moral exemplars and consistent mentors—supported by school leadership that fosters a culture of discipline. Implications: These findings underscore that PAI-based discipline formation goes beyond theoretical teaching, embedding moral values into students’ habitual behaviors, with implications for character education frameworks in Islamic schooling contexts. Highlight PAI shapes discipline through daily religious routines. Teachers act as moral role models and mentors. School leadership reinforces a disciplined environment. Keywords: Islamic Religious Education, Student Character, Discipline Formation, Moral Habituation, School Culture

Abstract

General Background: In today’s competitive labor market, graduates must possess not only academic excellence but also strong soft skills to secure employment. Specific Background: Interpersonal skills, problem solving, and resilience have been identified as key competencies influencing employability. Knowledge Gap: However, limited studies have examined how student organizations (ORMAWA) contribute to these competencies in the context of Islamic higher education institutions. Aims: This study investigates the influence of interpersonal skills, problem solving, and resilience on the work readiness of ORMAWA FEBI UINSU students. Results: Using a quantitative method with 98 respondents and SEM-PLS analysis, results reveal that interpersonal skills and resilience significantly affect work readiness, while problem solving does not. Novelty: The study uniquely highlights resilience as the most dominant predictor and applies SEM-PLS to an entire population of active student organization members within an Islamic university context. Implications: These findings suggest the importance of integrating soft skills development, particularly resilience, into organizational and academic programs to better prepare students for the workforce.Highlight : Resilience is the most dominant factor influencing work readiness among student organization members at FEBI UINSU. Problem-solving skills showed no significant impact, indicating its development may need more structured practice. Active participation in student organizations (ORMAWA) strengthens interpersonal skills and mental adaptability. Keywords : Interpersonal, Problem Solving, Resilience, Job Readiness, ORMAWA Students

Abstract

General Background: Coastal communities in Indonesia depend heavily on fisheries, with fishermen playing crucial roles in both resource provision and economic vitality. Specific Background: In Kejawanan Beach, Cirebon, fishing is the main livelihood despite its inherent uncertainties. Knowledge Gap: While many studies address coastal livelihood issues, few explore the integrated perceptions of fishing families regarding both economic and social impacts in this region. Aims: This study aims to understand how fishing families in Kejawanan perceive the socio-economic effects of the fishing profession and the factors shaping those perceptions. Results: Using a qualitative method with thematic analysis, the study revealed three major themes: unstable income tied to fishing seasons, social pressures including emotional strain and limited family interaction, and adaptive survival strategies like borrowing or saving. Novelty: This study presents a holistic analysis of household-level perceptions, combining economic instability and social dynamics within a single framework, which is rarely addressed in similar coastal studies. Implications: Findings highlight the urgency for inclusive financial innovations (e.g., digital cooperatives), gender-aware economic planning, and educational support to break the poverty cycle among fishing families, informing more effective coastal development policies.Highlight : Unstable Earnings: Fishermen’s income depends heavily on seasons and daily catch results. Social Impact on Families: Limited family time and the double burden on women are key concerns. Survival Strategies: Families cope by saving during harvest seasons and borrowing during lean periods Keywords : Fishermen, Fluctuation, Income, Social, Kejawanan

Abstract

General Background: Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are vital to Indonesia's economy, particularly in the culinary sector. Specific Background: Despite their growth, many culinary MSMEs struggle with poor financial reporting due to limited financial skills and low digital adoption. Knowledge Gap: Prior studies show mixed results on the influence of financial literacy, financial technology (fintech), and financial management on financial reporting quality, and few focus on culinary MSMEs in Sukabumi. Aims: This study analyzes the impact of financial literacy, fintech, and financial management on the quality of financial reports among culinary MSMEs in Sukabumi City. Results: Using quantitative associative methods with 180 MSMEs, the findings show that financial literacy negatively affects report quality, fintech has no significant effect, while financial management has a strong positive and dominant influence. The regression model explains 48.1% of the variance. Novelty: Unlike existing studies, this research identifies financial management as a stronger determinant than literacy or fintech, and highlights the counterintuitive negative role of financial literacy. Implications: The results emphasize the need for targeted training in financial practices and effective use of digital tools, supporting policy and program development for MSME financial capacity building in local contexts.Highlight : Financial management is the most dominant factor improving report quality. Financial literacy negatively affects the quality of financial reports. Fintech usage is still limited among culinary MSMEs. Abstract

Vocational education plays a crucial role in preparing students to meet the demands of the industrial world. At SMK Muhammadiyah Ngawen, the implementation of the Field Work Practice (PKL) program is evaluated using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model to assess its effectiveness comprehensively. Despite the importance of PKL, few studies have thoroughly evaluated its alignment with industrial needs using a structured evaluation model. This study aims to analyze the implementation of PKL evaluation at SMK Muhammadiyah Ngawen through qualitative methods, including observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the PKL evaluation is conducted effectively, supported by solid collaboration between schools and industrial partners, and has enhanced students' practical skills and job readiness. The novelty of this study lies in its structured use of the CIPP model in a vocational setting to identify gaps between school training and industry expectations. The implications suggest the need for broader industry partnerships and curriculum adjustments to strengthen the relevance of PKL programs in vocational education. Highlights: Highlights effective PKL evaluation using the CIPP model. Reveals strong school-industry collaboration in vocational training. Recommends curriculum alignment with industry needs. Keywords: Field Work Practice, CIPP Model, Vocational Education, Skill Development, Industry Partnership
