Abstract

MSMEs play a strategic role in Indonesia and are crucial for the economy, employment, job creation, and poverty reduction. In 2023, MSMEs contributed 61.07 percent to the national GDP and employed 97 percent of the Indonesian workforce. As competition increases, it is crucial to understand the factors that can help MSMEs perform more effectively. Good financial health combined with strong human resource capabilities supports better innovation capabilities, which in turn improves the level and quality of not only competitiveness but also overall business performance. The research conducted in this paper aims to investigate the influence of financial aspects, human resource competencies, and product innovation on business performance, both partially and jointly. The research method used is quantitative, employing a survey method. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a Likert Scale, which was distributed to 100 registered MSME owners in the Menteng area. The sampling method used a purposive sampling method. The data analysis method utilized SPSS to examine the relationship and influence between the variables of financial aspects, human resource competencies, and product innovation on business performance. The results of the study indicate that the financial aspect variable has a significant positive influence on business performance (0.000 at a 5% significance level). The HR competency variable also has a significant positive influence (0.000 at a 5% significance level), as does the product variable (0.023 at a 5% significance level). The simultaneous test also shows that the financial aspect variable, HR competency, and product innovation all have a significant positive influence (0.000 at a 5% significance level). Therefore, by improving these three elements simultaneously, integrated financial management, HR competency development, and product innovation can provide business actors with an effective means to increase performance competitiveness.

Abstract

Teacher competency evaluation plays a crucial role in improving educational quality; however, assessment practices at MTSS MPI Bagan Asahan are still conducted manually, leading to limited documentation, potential subjectivity, and the absence of systematic analysis. This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) based on the Modified Profile Matching method to measure teacher competency alignment with predefined ideal standards and generate proportional coaching recommendations. A quantitative case study was conducted involving 22 active teachers selected through total sampling. Data were collected from supervision documents, observations, interviews, and literature review. Competency evaluation was performed using GAP analysis between actual and target profiles, applying a 60% weighting for Core Factors and 40% for Secondary Factors to compute final ranking scores. The results show that competency scores ranged from 3.80 to 4.70, with a mean of 4.25 and a standard deviation of 0.24, indicating relatively homogeneous performance levels. Beyond ranking, the system generates adaptive coaching recommendations based on the number of negative GAP indicators. Black Box testing confirms functional reliability. The integration of proportional rule-based recommendations transforms the DSS from a static ranking tool into a structured competency diagnostic and professional development planning system. The proposed system also has the potential to be implemented in other educational institutions to support objective and data-driven teacher competency evaluation.

Abstract

The determination of toddlers eligible for the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT) at the Integrated Health Post in Perkebunan Tanah Datar Village is still conducted manually, which can lead to subjectivity and inaccurate targeting of assistance. This study aims to develop a Decision Support System using the Profile Matching method to determine priority PMT recipients in a more objective and systematic manner. The assessment compares the actual condition of toddlers with an ideal profile by calculating GAP values across several criteria, including stunting status, nutritional status, parents’ income, and mother’s education level. These criteria are processed using Core Factor (60%) and Secondary Factor (40%) weighting to generate priority rankings. The system evaluation was conducted using seven toddler data samples, producing ranking results in which toddler B6 obtained the highest priority score of 4.5. The results indicate that the proposed method is able to generate consistent eligibility rankings and support a more transparent and measurable decision-making process compared to manual selection. By automating the calculation of GAP values and weighting factors, the system reduces subjectivity and improves the efficiency and accuracy of PMT recipient determination. However, this study is limited by the relatively small dataset and its implementation in a single Posyandu location. Future research may involve larger datasets and additional evaluation criteria to improve the robustness and applicability of the model in broader community health service settings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of gamification elements in influencing user behavior within digital financial applications and to identify which elements are most associated with the development of financial habits. This research adopts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach guided by the PRISMA framework. Literature was collected from three academic databases, namely Scopus, ScienceDirect, and IEEE Xplore, covering publications between 2019 and 2025. After applying predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, 17 empirical studies were selected and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that gamification significantly enhances user engagement and financial behavior by making financial management activities more interactive and motivating. The most frequently implemented elements include points, rewards, badges, leaderboards, and progress tracking. Cash-based rewards show stronger effects in encouraging short-term transactional behaviors, while progress visualization and real-time feedback contribute to sustained financial management practices. This study contributes theoretically by synthesizing behavioral and technology adoption perspectives to explain how gamification mechanisms influence financial behavior in digital contexts. Practically, the findings offer insights for developers and financial institutions to design more effective and user-centered financial applications. However, this review has several limitations. Most included studies rely on self-reported survey data, which limits causal inference. In addition, the majority were conducted in emerging market contexts, which may constrain the generalizability of the findings. Furthermore, most studies focus on short-term behavioral outcomes, leaving long-term habit formation insufficiently explored. Future research is therefore needed to examine long-term effects and to investigate how cultural and socioeconomic factors influence the effectiveness of gamification.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) as a basis for determining employee salary increases at PT Sucorinvest Asset Management, Jakarta. Effective human resource management requires an objective performance measurement system to ensure that employee contributions are aligned with organizational goals and compensation policies. In this context, KPI serves as a strategic tool for measuring employee performance through measurable indicators and supporting managerial decision-making related to remuneration. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving seven informants representing managerial and operational levels within the organization. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the company has implemented a KPI system based on the Balanced Scorecard approach, integrating financial, customer, internal process, and learning and growth perspectives into employee performance evaluation. KPI has been utilized as an important reference for salary increase decisions and performance monitoring. However, several challenges were identified, including inconsistent KPI socialization among employees, limited transparency in the conversion of KPI scores into salary increase percentages, variations in KPI monitoring practices across divisions, and the influence of external business conditions on KPI target achievement. These issues affect employees’ understanding and perceptions of fairness regarding the performance evaluation process. The study concludes that KPI provides a structured framework for performance appraisal and supports more objective salary increase decision-making. The findings highlight the importance of consistent KPI communication, greater transparency in remuneration mechanisms, and adaptive performance targets to enhance the effectiveness of KPI-based performance management systems.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the fast-food industry has fostered the development of sustainable and adaptive digital ecosystems, particularly among Generation Z consumers. This systematic literature review synthesizes 30 rigorously selected peer-reviewed articles from six major academic databases to examine how intelligent systems—artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics—support sustainable growth in quick-service restaurants. The thematic analysis identified measurable impacts: intelligent systems increased average order values by 15–25%, reduced customer service response times by 40–60%, and decreased food waste by 15–25% through supply chain optimization. Generation Z consumers also demonstrated 30–40% higher repeat purchase frequencies when exposed to personalized recommendations and sustainability transparency features. The findings indicate that AI-driven personalization, automation, and supply chain optimization can simultaneously enhance operational efficiency, enable hyper-personalized customer experiences, and promote sustainable consumption behaviors. However, implementation challenges—including data privacy concerns, algorithmic bias risks, and greenwashing vulnerabilities—require robust governance frameworks. This review advances understanding of how emerging technologies align profit objectives with environmental responsibility, while offering practical implications for restaurant operators, technology providers, and policymakers.
