Abstract

Since the Ministry of Education and Culture launched the Independent Campus (MBKM) program, all universities in Indonesia have been encouraged to adapt their curricula to meet the needs of strategic government industries. One such program is the Independent Internship program, which requires a more extended period (4-6 months) than the 1-2 months of internships (PKL). During the implementation of PKL at the STTKD (Education and Training College), several findings emerged regarding dissatisfaction among users (the placement companies for PKL cadets) with the basic knowledge possessed by management program cadets. Therefore, an analysis of the basic knowledge readiness of management program cadets in ground operations and service is necessary to determine whether they align with the National Competency Standards (SKKNI) for the Transportation and Warehousing Category, specifically the Warehousing and Airport Activities, Ground Operations and Service Sub-Division. The research employed a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques and simple linear regression to examine the 2018 management program curriculum achievements about SKKNI 226/2020. The research results showed that 23 Competency Indicators were needed for PKL Ground Operation and Service Air Logistic participants at the Airport Cargo Terminal before entering the field. Following the implementation of the 2018 curriculum, the CPMK Curriculum of the D4 MTU (Air Transport Management) and D3 MT (Transport Management) Study Programs had a 59.4% influence on the Competency Knowledge of SKKNI 226/2020 Ground Operation and Service Air Logistics. The remaining 40.6% of knowledge topics from the CPMK Curriculum needed adjustments to 10 D4 MTU and D3 MT Study Program courses to achieve the SKKNI 226/2020 competency.

Abstract

In Early Childhood Education (ECE) is a crucial stage in children’s cognitive development, serving as the foundation for future learning. Children aged 4–6 years are in a critical period of growth in recognizing concepts, including understanding and mixing colors. However, learning activities at this stage often encounter obstacles due to the lack of creative and engaging teaching methods. One alternative approach is the use of the finge painting technique with tempra paints. This study aims to examine the effect of the tempra finger painting technique on enhancing children’s cognitive abilities, particularly in color mixing. The research employed an experimental method with observational design involving Group A children at TK Hang Tuah Bengkulu City. Data were collected through direct observation of children’s learning activities and their artworks before and after the treatment. The findings revealed significant improvement in children’s cognitive abilities, including recognizing primary colors, mixing them into new combinations, and producing simple artworks according to instructions. The finge painting activity proved to be an effective stimulus that increased learning interest, developed logical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills in early childhood. Therefore, the tempra finger painting technique is recommended as an innovative teaching method in early childhood education. This research also suggests that teachers and parents should utilize more interactive and enjoyable learning media to optimize children’s cognitive development from an early age.

Abstract

Tax avoidance remains a significant concern in Indonesia, as it undermines state revenue despite being a legal practice. This phenomenon, particularly among corporations, is influenced by a range of financial and non-financial factors. Mining sector manufacturing companies often seek to reduce tax burdens while optimizing profits, prompting the need for empirical studies to explore the determinants of their tax strategies. This study aims to examine the influence of independent commissioners, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and profitability on corporate tax avoidance. The research adopts a quantitative research using secondary data from the financial statements of mining sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2020–2022 period. A total of 13 companies were selected through purposive sampling based on specified criteria. The dependent variable, tax avoidance, is measured using the Cash Effective Tax Rate (CETR), while the independent variables include corporate governance and financial performance indicators. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, supported by classical assumption testing, F-test, t-test, and the coefficient of determination. The results indicate that managerial ownership and institutional ownership have a significant positive effect, while profitability has a significant negative effect on tax avoidance. Conversely, independent commissioners do not significantly influence tax avoidance. The model explains 78.9% of the variance in tax avoidance behavior. These findings suggest the importance of strengthening corporate governance and aligning profitability with tax compliance to mitigate tax avoidance practices within Indonesia's mining sector.
