Abstract

The coastal area in Teluk Tamiang Village has a relatively high potential for biological natural resources. The potential of natural resources owned by this island can be seen in the ecosystem of coral reefs, reef fish, ornamental fish, seagrass beds and fisheries. In addition to having an ecological function, this ecosystem also has a high aesthetic value for the development ofmarine tourism. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability class and carrying capacity of marine ecotourism for snorkeling and beach activities that can be utilized in Teluk Tamiang Village, Tanjung Selayar Laut Island District, Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan Province. The results showed that the suitability class of marine ecotourism in Teluk Tamiang was in the appropriate and very suitable category, with a capacity for snorkeling tourism activities of 164 people / day with a utilization area of 4.12 ha, and for beach tourism with a utilization area of 1910 meters, able to accommodate tourists as many as 152 people/day. Thus, the total number of tourists that can be accommodated by both types of tourism activities is 317 people/day.

Abstract

Commercial diplomacy is often used by the Indonesian government in achieving its national interests. One of these interests is to obtain FDI funding for the development of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN). A potential country is Japan because it has been a long-standing partner of Indonesia, especially in investment. The study discusses the efforts of the Indonesian Investment Promotion Center, Tokyo branch (IIPC Tokyo) in attracting Japanese investment for the IKN area with a reach of 2023-2024. The concept used is commercial diplomacy according to Naray which contains 6 main activities in the FDI promotion area. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with primary and secondary sources. The results of the study revealed that IIPC Tokyo has carried out a series of commercial diplomacy efforts in order to increase investment interest in the development of the IKN with a series of activities such as collecting and identifying, providing direction, and providing investment proposals to prospective Japanese investors and coordinating with the Ministry. However, IIPC Tokyo does not carry out advocacy activities because this is not their responsibility and they also do not use the office facilities of the Indonesian Embassy in Japan. However, if it is needed to support the representative activities, IIPC Tokyo can use the facilities of the Embassy.

Abstract

This study examines the factors influencing purchasing decisions through TikTok Shop, focusing on live streaming as a promotional medium. In the context of local MSMEs in Indonesia competing with imported products, this research tests the effects of live streaming viewing frequency, parasocial relationships, and social interactivity on purchasing decisions, as well as the mediating roles of utilitarian shopping value and consumer attitudes toward ELS. The research method involves surveys and SEM-PLS analysis with 105 sample. The results show that live streaming viewing frequency does not affect actual purchase, while parasocial relationships and utilitarian value have a positive effect. Consumer attitudes toward ELS also positively influence purchasing decisions. Utilitarian shopping value mediates the effect of live streaming viewing frequency, while consumer attitudes mediate the effect of parasocial relationships. The novelty of this research lies in analyzing the factors influencing purchasing decisions through TikTok and its contribution in providing insights for local MSMEs to design more effective marketing strategies in the digital era.

Abstract

This study explores how Generation Z perceives Javanese cultural content published through the TikTok account kratonjogja.id. The background of this research is the increasing role of social media, particularly TikTok, as a medium for promoting culture in the digital era. The method used is a qualitative reception analysis approach, focusing on the interpretation and experiences of audiences in consuming local cultural content. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with five informants representing this generation. The findings reveal three reception categories: dominant hegemonic position, negotiation, and opposition. Informants in the dominant hegemonic position fully accepted the content as engaging and relevant cultural education. Meanwhile, informants in the negotiation position appreciated the creativity of the content but felt that certain terms lacked adequate explanation. On the other hand, those in the opposition position found most cultural messages unclear and not aligned with their media preferences. The conclusion of this study is that TikTok can serve as a strategic platform for preserving local culture; however, improvements in content packaging are needed to make it more inclusive and informative for a heterogeneous audience. This study emphasizes the importance of collaboration between cultural traditions and technology to effectively reach younger generations.

Abstract

The development of electric vehicles, particularly electric motorcycles, has seen an increase in sales in Indonesia; however, their contribution remains significantly low compared to conventional motorcycles. Despite being more competitively priced, electric motorcycles accounted for only 1% of total motorcycle sales in 2022. This phenomenon highlights an intriguing gap for research, particularly concerning consumer purchasing behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived behavioral control, herding behavior, sustainability attitude, motivation, and facilitating conditions on the purchasing behavior of electric motorcycles in Bali, with consumer expectancy as a mediating variable. The research employs a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to electric motorcycle consumers and analyzes the data using SEM-PLS. The findings reveal that perceived behavioral control negatively influences purchasing behavior, while herding behavior, sustainability attitude, and facilitating conditions have a positive impact. Interestingly, motivation does not affect purchasing behavior. Additionally, consumer expectancy mediates the influence of sustainability attitude, motivation, and facilitating conditions on purchasing behavior but fails to mediate the effect of herding behavior.
