Abstract

The implementation of sustainable accounting and ESG reporting in Indonesia has become a strategic issue that continues to grow in line with the increasing demand for transparency from both global and domestic stakeholders. However, its implementation still faces various obstacles, both within the company and due to complex external factors. The imbalance in readiness between sectors, limited infrastructure, and minimal data integration are real challenges in realizing comprehensive ESG reporting. This study aims to identify obstacles and accelerate the implementation of ESG in corporate accounting practices in Indonesia. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach and data collection through literature reviews, previous studies, and relevant documents. The data obtained were described descriptively and qualitatively to explore patterns, dynamics, and strategies that can be accepted by the company. The results of the study show that the role of leadership, desire literacy, regulatory support, and multi-party collaboration greatly determine the success of ESG reporting. The implementation of the acceleration strategy requires a comprehensive internal transformation and the use of digital technology. Public policy support and government incentives are key to creating an effective and sustainable ESG reporting ecosystem in Indonesia.

Abstract

Community-based child protection in Limbangansari Village was initially weak. The implementation of the Perlindungan Anak Terpadu Berbasis Masyarakat (PATBM) programme in this location was not yet optimal, lacked organization, and resource management was insufficient to support the adequacy and sustainability of activities. Based on these issues, this study aims to develop a community-based child protection organizational model in Limbangansari Village, Cianjur District, Cianjur Regency. The study employs a qualitative approach using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews and Focused Group Discussions (FGD) involving local stakeholders, document analysis, and observation. The research results show that the development of the model has successfully improved the organization of child protection, as evidenced by improvements in structure, clearer task distribution and child protection mechanisms, broader networks, and enhanced human resource capacity development management, thereby increasing activities. This development has succeeded in raising public awareness of child protection, increasing active community participation in activities, and enabling a faster response to child cases.

Abstract

The Disaster-Resilient Village (Kampung Siaga Bencana/KSB) is a community-based disaster risk reduction initiative designed to protect communities from disaster risks by strengthening local preparedness. This study aims to develop a KSB design through capacity building in participatory planning in Cintaasih Village, Gekbrong Subdistrict, Cianjur Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The participants consisted of eight purposively selected individuals, including members of the KSB team in Cintaasih Village, village officials, and representatives from the Cianjur District Social Office. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, document analysis, and focus group discussions (FGDs), and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings revealed that the initial KSB design was still predominantly top-down and had not fully empowered the local community. The KSB team in Cintaasih lacked the capacity to independently formulate action plans due to limited skills in locally needs based planning. The final design improved the previous process by integrating several capacity building components, including team building training, best practice sharing on community-level disaster response, education on community participation, simulation and training of the three stages of the Technology of Participation (ToP) method, and dissemination of planning guidelines. The model was also supported by technical assistance in activity reporting and a monitoring and evaluation mechanism coordinated by the Cianjur District Social Office. The implementation of this design proved effective in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and initiative of the KSB team. The participatory process fostered a sense of ownership over the action plan and helped build stronger and more sustainable internal mechanisms. The study recommends follow-up research to expand the model’s utility and replicability, enabling the participatory design to be tested, validated, and further developed into an adaptive or standardized model.

Abstract

This study addresses the social reintegration challenges faced by Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL), who often experience stigma, discrimination, and rejection post-rehabilitation. Existing legal education efforts have proven insufficient, prompting the development of a Collaborative Counseling Model using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach in Ciandam Village, Cianjur Regency. Twelve purposively selected participants, including stakeholders from government offices and the correctional center, were involved. Data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model with NVivo 15 support. A Community Working Team (TKM) was formed to implement the model, which included area mapping, home visits, and reassessment of CICL and their families. Counseling materials were delivered using infographic-based media and disseminated through community religious activities. Results showed significant improvement in public knowledge and attitudes, contributing to reduced stigma and enhanced reintegration. The model proved effective, replicable, and adaptable for broader use. The study recommends creating support forums for CICL parents and further research into model scalability.

Abstract

Paratesticular rhabdomyosarcoma (PT-RMS) is a rare, aggressive soft tissue malignancy affecting children and adolescents. Early diagnosis and multimodal treatment are crucial to reduce recurrence and improve survival. We report a 6-year-4-month-old male with advanced PT-RMS presenting with a bleeding scrotal mass, severe malnutrition, and anemia. The patient had previously received 25 chemotherapy cycles and experienced relapse, requiring reinitiation of chemotherapy with vincristine, actinomycin C, and cyclophosphamide. Imaging revealed an extensive fixed mass involving the scrotum, penis, bladder wall, and enlarged inguinal and para-iliac lymph nodes. Multidisciplinary management included supportive care, wide excision, and planned bilateral inguinal lymph node dissection. This case highlights the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges of advanced PT-RMS, emphasizing the role of proper imaging, radical surgery with inguinal lymphadenectomy, and adjuvant chemotherapy to optimize local control and prevent metastasis. Effective management of pediatric PT-RMS requires timely diagnosis, complete surgical resection with lymph node evaluation, and adequate adjuvant therapy to improve outcomes and minimize recurrence risk.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the progress of macro indicators of regional development as well as strategic development issues in Nduga Regency. The background of this research is based on the importance of measuring regional development in a multidimensional manner to understand inequality and to guide more accurate policy directions. The results show that macro indicators such as GRDP per capita, the Human Development Index (HDI), and the electrification ratio have shown an increasing trend. However, major challenges remain in terms of equitable access to education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation. In addition, strategic issues identified include demographic bonus, labor market disparities, limited infrastructure, technological disruption, and regional economic transformation. These findings highlight the need for data-driven, cross-sectoral, and inclusive development strategies to promote sustainable growth and improve the well-being of communities in Nduga Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate patient flow inefficiencies in the JKN outpatient department of a cardiac hospital and evaluate how Lean tools specifically process mapping and root cause analysis can enhance service efficiency and reduce waiting times. A qualitative single-case study design was employed using Lean methodology. Data were collected through direct observation, unstructured staff interviews, and A3 problem-solving documentation. Process mapping and value stream mapping (VSM) were used to analyze the current patient journey, while Ishikawa diagrams facilitated root cause identification. The study identified significant delays in the registration, consultation, and pharmacy stages, driven by manual processes, limited specialist availability, and fragmented workflows. Key contributors to overcrowding included early patient arrivals, inadequate appointment scheduling, and lack of digital integration. A future-state value stream map was developed, incorporating electronic queue registration and e-prescribing systems to streamline service flow and optimize resource utilization. The study demonstrates the applicability of Lean principles in high-demand outpatient settings and offers a replicable framework for healthcare organizations seeking to reduce service delays and improve patient throughput. It emphasizes the need for coordinated process redesign, digital innovation, and standardized performance metrics. This research contributes to the limited literature on Lean application in Indonesia’s public health insurance context (JKN) by integrating voice-of-process and voice-of-staff perspectives. The proposed Lean-based interventions are empirically grounded and aligned with national healthcare quality indicators, offering practical guidance for system-wide improvement.

Abstract

Homesickness refers to the longing to go home, which is one of the problems faced by students who are away from home because they are too long tied to their families and the surrounding environment, especially for those who have just adapted. This study aims to determine the effect of providing Self Compassion Training (Mirror Talk) to Reduce Homesickness in Students from Outside South Sulawesi Province. Participants in this study were 12 students from outside South Sulawesi Province who experienced high levels of homesickness. This study used a quantitative experimental form with a quasi-design without a control group using follow-up. Data collection was carried out using a homesickness scale and then conducting self-compassion training (mirror talk) by adapting the self-compassion module (mirror talk). Data analysis was carried out using a descriptive test method. Furthermore, an assumption test was carried out which included a normality test and a homogeneity test. The hypothesis was tested using a paired sample t-test and Anova. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of self-compassion mirror talk training to reduce feelings of homesickness in students from outside South Sulawesi Province. The measurement results obtained showed that there was a decrease in the level of homesickness after the provision of mirror talk training.

Abstract

Existing global agreements related to forest governance indicate that the current approach centered on promoting synergy among various instruments is insufficient to address the persistent regulatory gaps. One of the most pressing issues is the recurring transboundary air pollution caused by forest fires in Indonesia, which significantly affects neighboring countries. Indonesia’s tropical rainforests, often dubbed the lungs of the world, contribute to approximately 40% of the earth’s oxygen supply, underscoring their global environmental importance. Despite the existence of numerous international treaties that partially regulate forest-related activities, there remains no single, comprehensive international legal instrument that fully integrates all three pillars of sustainable development environmental, social, and economic in the context of forest ecosystems. This study employs a doctrinal legal research method using statutory, conceptual, and case study approaches. It concludes that the fragmented and sectoral nature of existing agreements hinders the achievement of sustainable forest management. Accordingly, this article advocates for a paradigm shift by expanding the scope and mandates of existing frameworks such as the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) to explicitly include sustainable forest governance. Furthermore, the article emphasizes the importance of cooperative mechanisms in addressing transboundary hazardous air pollution and proposes the establishment of a single, unified international convention on forests. Such a convention would provide a holistic and legally binding framework to strengthen forest protection, promote sustainable use, and enhance international collaboration.
