Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematical creative thinking ability of class VIII junior high school students in one of the schools in Karawang district in solving problems related to the material of flat shapes. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The subjects in this study were 16 students of class VIII in one of the junior high schools in Karawang Regency. The instrument used was in the form of a mathematical creative thinking ability test consisting of four essay questions and interview guidelines.  The data collection techniques used in this research were tests and interviews. The data analysis technique used in this study consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results and discussion of this study, it shows that the test results of students creative thinking skills are 25% in the high category with 4 students, 31.25% in the medium category with 5 students, and 43.75% in the low category. with a total of 7 students. So it can be concluded that the mathematical creative thinking ability of SMP class VIII students at one of the schools in Karawang district is still relatively low, and students also have not met the indicators of creative thinking skills, namely fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration

Abstract

This study aims to determine the students' motivation to learn mathematics in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic at MAN 1 Cirebon City in class XI. This type of research is a field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. Methods of data collection is done by observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Researchers took high school students at MAN 1 Cirebon City class XI as a sample, data source sample collection was done purposively and snowball to produce a sample that can logically be considered representative of the population and find key informants who have a lot of information. The results of the study stated that the mathematics learning motivation of MAN 1 Cirebon City students during the covid-19 pandemic was in the "moderate" category with the average percentage gain from the observational analysis of learning motivation of 56.25%, while the results of the questionnaire analysis of learning motivation obtained an average percentage by 78.42% so that it is included in the "high" category. Based the results of interviews and questionnaires, can be concluded that students of MAN 1 Cirebon City have high motivation. So, the motivation for learning mathematics at MAN 1 Cirebon City students in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic is categorized as "high" from the results of interviews where students meet six indicators of learning motivation.

Abstract

The error analysis in this study is the error made by students in solving stories problems on the topic of a two-variable linear equation system based on the Newman procedure. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII B MTsN 13 Pesisir Selatan. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The instruments used to collect data are tests and documentation. The results showed that the errors that were mostly made by students were encoding error of 34.64%, including the high enough category. Furthermore, the process skill error and are 30.46%, including the fairly high category. Meanwhile, the transformation error is 15.23%, including the small category. For the comprehension error of 15.23%, including the small category, and the reading error of 4.64% including the very small category. So, it can be concluded that the mistakes that many students make in story problems are two-variable linear equation system problems, encoding errors of 34.44% and the smallest errors made by students, reading errors of 4.64%.

Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills in learning are very important to have in the 2013 curriculum. The purpose of the study was to describe the critical thinking skills of students in SMP Negeri 7 Jember class VII J in solving mathematical problems in algebraic material, in terms of reflective and impulsive cognitive styles. This research is a descriptive study that uses a qualitative approach with 4 research subjects from class VII J consisting of 2 reflective subjects and 2 impulsive subjects. Data collection techniques used are tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques were carried out by reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Technique of data validity using triangulation method. The results of the research that have been carried out are that reflective subjects are able to meet all of the FRISCO critical thinking indicators (Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarity and Overview) in solving critical thinking test questions tend to be thorough, take a long time and the answer is correct. Impulsive subjects were only able to fulfill some of all the FRISCO critical thinking indicators (Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarity and Overview), namely focus and situation. Impulsive subjects cannot solve critical thinking questions because they do not understand how to solve problems.

Abstract

The rate of return (return) and risk are inseparable in investing activities. One equilibrium model that describes the relationship between return and risk assumes that the expected return is influenced by more than one macroeconomic factor. Furthermore, the causal relationship between stock returns and macroeconomic factor returns was analyzed using VAR. The application of VAR in this study is to predict stock returns through the stages of checking data stationarity, determining the optimal lag length, testing Granger causality between variables, estimating VAR model parameters and Portmanteau diagnostic tests, and predicting stock returns. The results show that the VAR (1) model is the most appropriate model to describe the relationship between stock returns and macroeconomic factor returns with a significant model owned by BBCA, ICBP, INTP, KLBF, and SMGR stocks. Furthermore, the VAR (1) model is used to predict the five stock returns. The prediction results show that INTP's stock returns are negative while the returns of the other four stocks are positive. This shows that INTP shares experienced a capital loss, while the stock returns of BBCA, ICBP, KLBF, and SMGR experienced capital gains

Abstract

Critical thinking skill is necessary to be learned by every students, because by thinking critically students are able to understand other mathematical skills. One of the problems that can improve critical thinking skills is Problem With Contradiction Information (PWCI), which means problem that contains wrong information. Every student has their own characteristics, it also influences their critical thinking. One of the ways to identify a type of personality people is by using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which classifies humans based on several perspectives, such as how to understanding and receiving information (Sennsing-Intuition), also how to make a conclusion and decision (Thinking-Feeling). The purpose of this study is to describe the critical thinking skills of students with sensing, intuition, thinking and feeling personalities. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This research was based on SMAN Arjasa, and the subject was 8 students consisting of 2 students each with sensing, intuition, thinking and feeling personality. Data collection methods used are test and interview. The analysis technique used is the analysis of test results, interviews and triangulation.  The results of this research revealed that students with sensing, intuition, thinking and feeling personality types have their own characteristics when solving the problem. The results of the critical thinking test found that there were no students who were able to fulfill critical thinking skills but there were students who were able to find contradictory information in the question

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain pembelajaran matematika dengan metode Flipped Classroom pada pokok bahasan teorema Pythagoras. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam pengembangan desain pembelajaran dengan metode flipped classroom adalah model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 20 Bulukumba. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi oleh para ahli, angket respon siswa, dan soal tes siswa materi teorema Pythagoras. Hasil penelitian pengembangan desain pembelajaran matematika ini melalui lima tahapan mulai tahapan analisis permasalahan dasar,analisis teori belajar dan materi, menyusun instrumen, angket dan soal, validasi instrumen oleh ahli, revisi instrumen, angket, pemilihan materi, pengembangan desain pembelajaran menggunakan metode flipped classroom, implementasi desain pembelajaran pada subjek sebanyak 25 siswa, hingga tahap evaluasi desain pembelajaran dengan melakukan penyebaran angket respon siswa dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan desain pembelajaran matematika dengan metode flipped classroom yang dikembangkan layak digunakan karena memenuhi kriteria desain pembelajaran seperti valid dengan skor 3,64 dari para ahli. Memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan desain pembelajaran dengan persentase 84,48% untuk angket respon siswa dan memenuhi kriteria keefektifan desain pembelajaran dengan persentase 84% siswa yang memiliki nilai yang memenuhi KKM.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan apa saja yang jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal TIMSS dengan menggunakan metode analisis kesalahan Newman. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-J SMPN 2 Telukjambe Timur. Jenis penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan metode observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan menurut Miles dan Huberman yaitu dengan mereduksi data, lalu menyajikan data dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini berdasarkan analisis kesalahan Newman menunjukan bahwa terdapat 18% kesalahan dalam jenis membaca soal, 13% kesalahan memahami soal, 15% kesalahan transformasi, 16% keterampilan proses dan 26% kesalahan dalam menuliskan/menyimpulkan jawaban. Faktor terjadinya kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa adalah siswa kurang telitinya dalam menjawab soal, siswa tidak mencermati pertanyaan soal sehingga siswa tidak dapat menangkap maksud dari soal, kurangnya penguasaan konsep  oleh siswa, siswa juga terkadang ceroboh dan terburu-buru dalam menjawab soal sehingga mereka tidak melakukan pengecekan kembali terhadap jawabannya. Sebaiknya guru dapat mengajarkan siswa untuk lebih teliti dalam menjawab soal-soal sehingga tidak terjadi lagi kesalahan yang diakibatkan dari kecerobohan dan kurang teliti.

Abstract

Istana Coklat Bakery, one of the bread industries in Gorontalo, produces two types of products, namely birthday cake and cake. Production planning in the istana Coklat Bakery begins with forecasting demand using double moving average method to production cost data, and production costs as variables that will be counted in the Bowman Transportation Matrix. based on the research results, obtained that the production process was fulfilled for regular production and overtime production using the Bowman Transportation Matrix method.  The total cost obtained from production planning using the Bowman transportation matriks method is IDR 864,437,500.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan hasil belajar siswa ketika menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dan model pembelajaran Discovery learning berbantuan canva, khususnya dalam materi transformasi geometri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan memberikan soal tes mengenai materi transformasi geometri. Subjek PDA penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas IX D di SMP Negeri 3 Cimahi yang berjumlah 38 siswa. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya diolah dengan menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang mulanya 65 meningkat menjadi 76.
