Abstract

Introduction: Mining work is one of the jobs where people are involved in physical hardship and therefore maintaining a good nutritional status is very important. As a result of food intake with unbalanced nutrition, it will result in workers experiencing nutritional problems, such as malnutrition or obesity. Aim: This study aims to describe the intake of macronutrients (energy, carbohydrates, protein, and fat), fiber, and sodium in workers at the Awak Mas Site PT Masmindo Dwi Area. Materials and Methods: This type of research was a quantitative study with a descriptive design with a total sample of 100. The sampling technique in this study was proportional stratified random sampling by taking samples of various categories of workers' physical activity with balanced proportions. Data collection was obtained using a 2x24 hour food recall questionnaire to obtain energy, carbohydrate, protein, fat, fiber, and sodium intake data. Data processing uses the Software Package for Social Science (SPSS) program. Data analysis is presented in a frequency distribution table accompanied by narration. Results: The results showed that, based on their energy intake, 35% had less energy intake, 58% enough and 7% more. Based on protein intake, 15% had less protein intake, 42% enough, and 43% more. Based on fat intake, 32% had less fat intake, 33% enough, and 35% more. Based on carbohydrate intake, 62% had insufficient carbohydrate intake, 37% sufficient, and 1% more. Based on fiber intake, 99% had less fiber intake and 1% had normal fiber intake. Based on sodium intake, 14% had normal sodium intake and 86% had more sodium intake. Conclusion:  Workers at Awak Mas Site PT Masmindo Dwi Area have unbalanced food intake, including insufficient intake of carbohydrates and fiber, as well as excess intake of protein, fat and sodium. Thus, it is suggested that workers pay more attention to their food intake by reducing excessive consumption of fat, protein and sodium and increasing their daily intake of carbohydrates and fiber.

Abstract

Introduction: The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia stated that as many as 56.4% of children under the age of 5 experience growth disorders. According to the results of observations in one of the Bekasi Kindergartens, the percentage of individual completeness was 43.79%, which concluded that the child had not developed well. Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status, feeding practices, parenting styles and nutritional intake with the motoric development of children aged 36-59 months in PAUD Kota Bekasi.Materials and Methods: This research method uses a cross sectional design. The research was conducted at PAUD Raudhatul Jannah, KB Penguin, and BIMBA AIUEO PAUD in July-August 2022. Data was collected through interviews for the variables of feeding practices, parenting style, and nutritional care. Anthropometric measurement data collection techniques for nutritional status variables. The sample of this research was 55 toodlers aged 36-59 months by using total sampling technique. Data analysis used the chi-square test. Results: The results of the bivariate test showed that there was a relationship between nutritional status (weight/age) and motor development (p-value = 0.023), there was a relationship between nutritional status (weight/height) and motor development (p-value = 0.032), there was a relationship between feeding practices with motor development (p-value = 0.027), there is a relationship between parenting style and motor development (p-value = 0.047), and there is no relationship between nutritional intake and children's motor development (p-value = <0 .05). Conclusion: Motoric development at the age of 36-59 months is related to nutritional status, feeding practices, and parenting styles. There is no relationship between nutritional intake and motor development of children aged 36-59 months.

Abstract

Introduction: Patient with malnutrition condition accompanied by infection diseases such as bronchopulmonary have an interacts with each other, so that the nutrition care process was needed to improve condition and sufficient of the nutrition. Nutrition Care Process have four stages, there are assessment, diagnosis, intervention, dan monitoring evaluation. Aim: To implementation of Nutrition Care Process in bronchopneumonia patien with severe malnutrition during three days of intervention.   Materials and Methods: This case study was conducted in November 2022 in hospitalized patients of RSUD Cilacap. NCP were made for 3 consecutive days. Aspects that will be observed are aspect of antrophometry, biochemical, clinical physic, and food intake. Result: After carrying out the nutrition care process for 3 consecutive days, the physical clinic patient began to improve, marked by the condition of the patient who looked fit and medical complications were resolved, biochemical laboratory result such as leukocyte and platelets also showed decrease to normal values, and the patient’s intake increased every day. Conclusion: Based on monitoring and evaluation result that have been carried out, overall intervention given is achived.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting is a linear growth disorder caused by malnutrition and chronic infectious diseases as indicated by a Z-Score for height for age (TB/A) less than -2 standard deviations (SD) based on WHO standards. Objective: To determine the socio-economic relationship (education, employment and income) to the feeding patterns of stunted toddlers aged 24-59 months in the working area of ​​the Malimongan Baru Health Center. Materials and Methods: This research was conducted on 66 stunted toddlers aged 24-59 months in Makassar City using the random sampling method and chi-square analysis using the SPSS application. Results: There is a relationship between mother's education, mother's occupation, father's occupation, and parental income with feeding pattern (p-value<0.05) and there is no relationship between father's education and feeding pattern (p-value>0.05 ) Conclusion: High maternal education, working mothers and fathers, high family income have proper feeding patterns for toddlers compared to low maternal education, mothers and fathers do not work, and low family income.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by lack of nutritional intake for a long time, resulting in growth disorders in children, namely the child's height is shorter than the standard age. Mother's self-efficacy in offering MP-ASI is a mother's self-confidence in carrying out the feeding process which includes the quantity and quality of MP-ASI, safety in providing food and the responsive feeding. Objective: To describe the mother's self-efficacy in giving complementary feeding and the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-23 months. Methods: This study used a descriptive design. Involving 100 samples of baduta and mothers, obtained by cluster random sampling technique. Data was collected by using a complementary feeding self efficacy (CFSE) questionnaire and measuring baduta’s body length using a lengthboard. This research was conducted on Barrang Lompo Island, Makassar City. Descriptive data analysis using SPSS 25 application. Result: Mother's self-efficacy in the high category is 52% and low 48%. Majority of mother's self-efficacy in giving complementary feeding tends to be low in the quality and quantity aspects of MP-ASI is 55% and the responsive feeding aspect is 52%. The incidence of stunting reached 31% of the total sample. Conclusion: There are still many mother's self-efficacy in the low category, especially in the quality and quantity of MP-ASI aspects and responsive feeding aspects. The incidence of stunting is 31%. Mentoring are needed for mothers whose self-efficacy is still low and increased knowledge of mothers through nutrition education, especially about stunting and providing good complementary feeding. Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is also called a "silent killer" because people with hypertension often do not show symptoms. Hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases and the most widely borne by the public.  Starfruit leaves have content to lower blood pressure that is methanol extract containing flavanoids as antioxidants. Aim: This study aims to determine how long the shelf life of starfruit leaf tea products (Averrhoa  Bilimbi L.) to patients with hypertension by using the Accelerated Shelf Life Test (ASLT)        Arrhenius model. Materials and Methods:  This study is a descriptive study with laboratory analysis. Starfruit leaf tea stored for 14 days at a temperature of 25oC, 35oC and 45oC by measuring the parameters of water content. The Data is then calculated based on the Arrhenius equation. Processing and analysis of data using Microsoft excel and presented in the form of tables and narratives. Results: Water content in starfruit leaf tea products decreased during storage 0 to 14 days. Reaction kinetics of degradation follows zero-order reactions. Tea stored at 25oC has a longer shelf life of 112 days than storage at 35oC and 45oC. The temperature of 35oC has a shelf  life of 60 days. The products are stored  at  a temperature of 45oC has a shelf life of 39 Day. Conclusion: The higher the storage temperature, the shorter the shelf life of the bilimbi leaf tea product.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Anemia gizi besi merupakan salah satu masalah kekurangan gizi, prevalensi anemia memiliki kecenderungan meningkat pada remaja. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui factor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja. Bahan dan Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 100 siswa SMK Al-Muhtadin Depok. Pola konsumsi pada remaja diukur dengan menggunakan Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ), pengecekan kadar Hemoglobin dengan EasyTouchGcHb, dan analisis deskriptif dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS. Hasil: hasil penelitian menunjukkan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri di SMK Al-Muhtadin Depok sebanyak 70%. Terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan, dan lama menstruasi dengan kejadian anemia dan tidak ada hubungan antara pola konsumsi protein hewani dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri. Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan, dan lama menstruasi dengan kejadian anemia. Kata kunci : Anemia, Pengetahuan, Pola konsumsi, Lama menstruasi, Remaja putri

Abstract

Introduction : Consuming fruits and vegetables regularly in the right portions has a major impact on the metabolism of the body and is associated with various health problems, one of which is related to symptoms of depression. For this reason, consumption of fruits and vegetables in sufficient portions needs to be done by each individual. Methods: This is a type of analytical observational research using a cross-sectional method. Respondents in this study were students of the Bachelor of Nutrition study program at Surabaya State University, totaling 79 female respondents. Data were collected using the CES-D and SQ-FFQ questionnaires via a goggle form. The chi-square test was used for data analysis. Results: In this study, the majority of respondents had less fruit and vegetable consumption, namely 50 people (63.3%) consumed fruit and 47 people (59.5%) consumed vegetables. There were 45 students (57%) had depressive symptoms, whereas 34 (43%) did not. The results of the analysis showed that fruit consumption and the incidence of depressive symptoms had a p-value <0.001, whereas the consumption of vegetables and the incidence of depressive symptoms had a p-value = 0.01. Conclusion: The results show a relationship between fruit consumption and the incidence of depressive symptoms among undergraduate students of the Nutrition Study Program at Surabaya State University, and a relationship between vegetable consumption and the incidence of depressive symptoms in students of the Nutrition Undergraduate Study Program at Surabaya State University. Attention needs to be paid to fruit and vegetable consumption behaviors in students and their mental health.

Abstract

Introduction: Dysmenorrhea in early adult women can be overcome by consuming food sources of iron and calcium, such as eel and soybeans. Objectives: This study aims to determine the production process and the acceptability of meatballs based on eel and soybeans. Methods: This study used a descriptive observational design. The semi-trained panelists consisted of 11 lecturers and staff from the Hasanuddin University School of Public Health for the hedonic quality test and the consumer panelists consisted of 65 undergraduate students of Public Health Faculty of Public Health Hasanuddin University for the hedonic (preference) test who belonged to the early adult group. The research was divided into preliminary research stages (making meatball products) and main research (hedonic quality tests and hedonic tests) using questionnaire research instruments. Results: The composition of the ratio of paddy eel and soybeans is a ratio of 100:15 for formula 2 (F2) or 22%, 100:20 for formula 3 (F3) or 33%, 100:25 for formula 4 (F4) or 45% and control formula (F1) which only uses paddy eel as the main ingredient. The results of the hedonic quality test by semi-trained panelists who had the highest score overall were formula 2. The most preferred consumer panelist test results for each parameter were color parameter F4 (72%), aroma parameter F2 (69.2%), taste parameter FI (72.3%) and texture parameters F1 (68.9%). Overall the most preferred formula with the highest acceptance rate is F2 (66.23%). Conclusion: Based on the results of the organoleptic test as a whole the most preferred formula is F2, to improve the taste in the manufacturing process, soybeans are soaked first and then exfoliated on the skin to minimize the bitter and sepet taste.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Salah satu masalah gizi yang sering terjadi di lingkungan remaja adalah fenomena gizi lebih (overweight dan obesitas). Salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan gizi lebih pada remaja adalah kebiasaan melewatkan sarapan dan durasi tidur. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kebiasaan sarapan dan durasi tidur pada remaja status gizi lebih di SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung Kabupaten Gowa. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deksripstif. Sampel penelitian merupakan remaja usia 13-15 tahun kelas VII dan VIII yang mengalami gizi lebih. Penentuan sampel menggunakan total sampling dengan jumlah sampel 79 orang. Kebiasaan sarapan dan kualitas sarapan diperoleh melalui kuesioner wawancara dan recall 24 jam, serta durasi tidur diperoleh melalui kuesioner Sleep Timing Questionnaire (STQ). Hasil: Sebagian besar responden memiliki kebiasaan jarang sarapan <4 kali/minggu (64,5%) dan masih memiliki kualitas sarapan yang kurang yaitu <15% dari AKG (50,6%). Durasi tidur sebagian besar remaja masih kurang yaitu <8 jam/hari baik weekdays (58,2) maupun weekend (51,9%). Kesimpulan: Sebagian besar remaja gizi lebih di SMP Muhammadiyah Limbung memiliki kebiasaan jarang sarapan dan kualitas sarapan yang masih kurang. Durasi tidur sebagian besar remaja masih kurang yaitu <8 jam/hari baik weekdays maupun weekend.
