Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze effective teaching strategies based on Islamic educational psychology for early childhood, in order to address the lack of integration of Islamic values in education. This study is a qualitative literature review examining literature related to early childhood education from an Islamic perspective. The results show that the implementation of effective teaching must consider child developmental psychology, divided into three stages: the infant and toddler stage (0-3 years) focusing on the values of monotheism and sensory stimulation; the preschool stage (3-6 years) emphasizing the formation of morals through play-based learning and Islamic stories; and the transition stage (5-6 years) with approaches such as learning the Qur'an and prayers, as well as the development of Islamic character. With appropriate teaching methods, children can develop holistically, encompassing cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects.

Abstract

The aim of research is critical thinking, an important tool to help students make responsible and rational decisions by understanding, analyzing, and evaluating the information they receive. Currently, adolescents' critical thinking skills are not optimal. They tend to be easily influenced by false or misleading information, receive information from social media or the internet without evaluating the truth, so they are vulnerable to hoaxes and propaganda. Teens tend to rely on instant solutions or follow the opinions of others without considering better alternatives. This can result in less effective decision-making and often does not consider future impacts. This study aims to analyze critical thinking from the perspective of Islamic educational psychology in adolescents, focusing on how adolescent development affects their critical thinking abilities. The research uses a qualitative approach and library research methods. The result of this study is that the development of critical thinking in adolescents is strongly influenced by various cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors that are the basis of Islamic educational psychology. A holistic and integrated approach to Islamic education can help facilitate critical thinking skills by emphasizing spiritual, moral, and ethical values in the learning process. In addition, support from family, school, and community also plays an important role in creating an environment conducive to the development of critical thinking skills. The study confirms that with the right approach, Islamic education can contribute significantly to developing critical thinking capacity in adolescents, which in turn will help them in facing life's challenges and becoming more thoughtful and reflective individuals.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of teachers in improving the independence of students with special needs, particularly those with intellectual disabilities. Using a qualitative approach, the research explores how teachers support independence through learning strategies, individual assistance, and self-development. Data were collected through observation and interviews at an inclusive junior high school. The findings show that teachers play a significant role in developing student independence through systematic routines, such as habituation and social interaction training. Customized learning strategies include module modification, differentiated curriculum, talent development, and individual mentoring using the one-teacher-one-student model. Despite challenges like limited facilities, inadequate tools, and varying student abilities, positive outcomes were observed. Students demonstrated improved ability to complete simple tasks independently, increased self-confidence, and greater initiative in social interactions. These results underline the importance of teacher involvement, flexibility in instructional approaches, and the need for continuous collaboration between schools and families. The study highlights that with proper support and strategies, students with intellectual disabilities can develop meaningful levels of independence and participate actively in their learning environment.

Abstract

Learning in Vocational High Schools aims to produce graduates who are job-ready with skills relevant to their vocational fields. However, there remains a mismatch between graduates' competencies and labor market demands, exacerbated by limited practical facilities and weak synergy between schools and the business and industrial sectors (DUDI). The revitalization program for vocational schools through the link and match approach was launched to address this issue by emphasizing curriculum alignment and intensive collaboration with industry. This study aims to examine the implementation of the link and match program at SMK Negeri 1 Pengasih, Bantul, Yogyakarta. A qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of link and match at SMK Negeri 1 Pengasih has been systematically carried out through industry-based curriculum alignment, industrial work practice, training for vocational teachers, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with industry partners, and competency-based skill assessments. The program has succeeded in enhancing graduates' competencies and competitiveness, although it faces challenges such as limited internship quotas, differing industry standards, and inadequate practical facilities. Strong collaboration among schools, industries, and the government is essential for success, with recommendations including improved facilities and strengthened partnerships to optimize the program’s effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of supervision and multicultural education evaluation within an effective Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning model at SMP Islam Terpadu (Integrated Islamic Junior High School) As-Sunnah Makassar. Multicultural education plays a vital role in shaping students’ tolerant and inclusive character, especially within a school environment grounded in Islamic values. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using a case study method. Data collection techniques included classroom observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that supervision is carried out in an educative and developmental manner, encouraging teachers to design contextual, collaborative, and integrative learning strategies that align with multicultural values. The dominant instructional model applied is Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), which is further supported by cooperative learning and problem-based learning approaches. Evaluation is conducted comprehensively and continuously, covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, while also incorporating reflection and character development processes. Teachers act not only as instructors but also as role models who embody Islamic values in their daily interactions with students. This study underscores the importance of synergy between educative supervision, relevant learning models, and continuous evaluation in fostering effective and contextual IRE learning within a multicultural educational setting.

Abstract

This study explores the concept of happiness from the perspective of al-Ghazali’s mysticism and its relevance to people with disabilities in the modern era. Drawing on al-Ghazali’s theological, philosophical, and Sufi insights, the research examines how spiritual well-being, moral refinement, and closeness to God serve as core elements in achieving true happiness, beyond material or physical limitations. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study analyzes classical Islamic texts alongside contemporary literature on disability studies. The findings reveal that al-Ghazali’s emphasis on inner purification (tazkiyat al-nafs), gratitude, and patience offers a transformative framework for understanding happiness among individuals with disabilities. In the modern context, this mystical approach can help challenge societal stigma, promote inclusivity, and encourage a more holistic view of human flourishing. The research concludes that integrating al-Ghazali’s spiritual paradigm with contemporary perspectives on disability can foster both personal resilience and social acceptance, paving the way for a more compassionate and equitable society.
