Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical creative thinking ability of students after being taught with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This research is a quasi-experimental research that compares two learning models, namely, the problem-based learning model and the conventional learning model, and is designed as follows: (i) a research sample of 60 students was selected as the research sample, and (ii) the data from the research test of students' mathematical creativity ability was carried out 2 (two), namely pretests (before learning) and postes (after learning). From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the average pretest score of mathematical problem solving ability also increased in the control class, especially for fluency indicators, but from the average of the two classes, the average in the experimental class was higher than the control, which was 53.33%. The average N-gain of creative thinking abilities of students taught with PBM was 0.48 and in students teaching with conventional learning. It was known that the increase in student motivation that obtains a PBM is higher than those whose learning uses ordinary learning. Therefore, it is important for schools to socialize PBM to be applied in the learning process so that it can improve students' mathematics skills, especially the ability to think creatively mathematically and student learning motivation.

Abstract

In the early hours to early days of life, managing low blood glucose levels and screening infants at risk are common problems in the care of newborns. Still missing, though, is a precise definition of newborn hypoglycemia. The purpose of this study is knowing that pregnancy hypertension/preeclampsia/eclampsia, prematurity, small-gestational-weight (SGA), large-gestational-weight (LGA), asphyxia, and sepsis are risk factors associated with neonatal hypoglycemia. The type of research conducted was a cross-sectional retrospective analytic study on infants in the perinatology room at Wangaya Hospital in 2022. The sample in this study consisted of 18 hypoglycemia babies and 18 normoglycemia babies taken by purposive sampling with matching hypertension/preeclampsia/eclampsia pregnancy, prematurity, SGA, LGA, asphyxia and sepsis. Data collection used medical record data and perinatology register data. Statistical tests used were Chi-Square and logistic regression with a 95% confidence interval. The results showed that prematurity was an associated risk factor (OR=2.78; 95% CI=1.437-5.379), asphyxia and sepsis also showed statistical significance (OR=2.07; 95% CI=1.221-3.513) (OR=2.27; 95% CI=1.257-4.109). In multivariate analysis, there was no statistical significance among other factors (p-value 0.019). Prematurity, asphyxia, and sepsis were risk factors associated with the incidence of neonatal hypoglycemia with odds of 2.78 times, 2.07 times and 2.27 times respectively compared to the control population. However, in the multivariate analysis, there was no relationship between one factor to another factor that influenced each other in being a risk factor associated with hypoglycemia at Wangaya Hospital.

Abstract

Fertilizer is one of the important factors in plant cultivation, including melon plants. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of fertilizer use on the quality of organic melon crops. This study used an experimental design. Data in this study were collected through observations of several parameters that measure the quality of melon plant growth results. These parameters include flowering age, harvest age, stem diameter, fruit weight per plant, fruit flesh thickness, and taste test. Data obtained from observations were processed by statistical analysis, including analysis of variance, and further tests were carried out using the Honest Real Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the interaction between the use of Mutiara NPK fertilizer and Fortune liquid organic fertilizer showed no significant effect on all observation parameters. However, when considered separately, both Mutiara NPK fertilizer and Fortune liquid organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the observation parameters. Pearl NPK fertilizer significantly influenced all observational parameters, including flowering age, harvesting age, stem diameter, widest leaf area, fruit circumference, fruit weight per fruit, and fruit flesh thickness. The best treatment was observed when Pearl NPK was applied at 5 grams per plant. On the other hand, the main factor of using Fortune liquid organic fertilizer affected the parameters of flowering age, harvesting age, and widest leaf area. The best treatment in terms of liquid organic fertilizer was the application of Fortune at 8 ml per liter of water.

Abstract

Provisions regarding Justice Collaborator are regulated in Law Number 31 of 2014 concerning the Protection of Witnesses and Victims. In practice, it is not uncommon for the role of Justice Collaborator to be applied inappropriately. For example, in the case of Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu. This study aims  to examine and analyze the determination of justice collaborator according to Law Number 31 of 2014 and examine and analyze the ideal construction of determining the status of justice collaborator  for perpetrators of premeditated murder crimes. This study uses normative juridical research with secondary data in the form of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results showed that the determination of the status of justice collaborator in the Brigadier Joshua murder case by the defendant Ricard Eliezer the application for Justice Collaborator status should have been rejected by the panel of judges, where the crime of premeditated murder was not included in the category of cases that qualified as Justice Collaborator based on the provisions of Law Number 31 of 2014, but for the sake of disclosure of the case,  and in order to fulfill the responsibility of judges in carrying out their main duties and functions, to enforce the law optimally in order to fulfill a sense of justice, expediency and legal certainty. The Justice Collaborator system for premeditated murder perpetrators requires clearer, more detailed legal rules, as per the rule of law, legality, and certainty theories, compared to arrangements in America, Italy, and Hong Kong.

Abstract

This study explores the connection between environmental sustainability narratives ("green narratives") and brand equity in the hospitality industry. It investigates how adopting and communicating sustainability practices affect customer-based brand equity (CBBE) using a comprehensive framework that integrates horizontal and vertical analysis and Kevin Lane Keller's CBBE model. The horizontal analysis measured how these efforts resonate with customers and influence brand perception. The vertical analysis examined the depth of sustainability initiatives, emphasizing their integration within the organization, such as eco-friendly layout, authentic local food, and excellent service. Keller's CBBE model guides the exploration of brand development stages, from identity to resonance, highlighting how green narratives impact brand recognition, significance, response, and resonance. Through this research, the author aims to uncover how green narratives shape customer perceptions and loyalty in the hospitality industry. The data for this study came from semi-structured interviews conducted as part of the qualitative research methodology. After that, the gathered data was investigated using Keller's model, vertical analysis, and horizontal analysis. Plataran's social media green narratives have a positive impact on brand equity because consumers respect and believe in companies that are committed to protecting the environment and cultural traditions. Brand resonance can be increased through active participation on social media, satisfaction surveys, loyalty plans, and creating a sense of community.
