Abstract

The increasing adoption of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices has encouraged organizations to implement sustainability programs as part of their strategic and operational activities. Although sustainability initiatives are expected to enhance employee engagement and organizational commitment, excessive sustainability demands may potentially create psychological pressure and green fatigue among employees. This study aimed to examine whether employees perceive workplace sustainability programs primarily as a source of motivation or as a contributor to green fatigue. A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design was employed. Data were collected from 202 employees working in organizations implementing sustainability or ESG-related initiatives in Indonesia. The collected data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS to evaluate the relationships between Sustainability Program Perception, Employee Motivation, and Green Fatigue. The results showed that sustainability program perception had a significant positive effect on employee motivation (? = 0.699, p < 0.001), indicating that sustainability initiatives can strengthen employee engagement, organizational pride, and meaningful work experiences. However, sustainability program perception did not significantly influence green fatigue (? = -0.018, p = 0.889), and employee motivation also showed no significant effect on green fatigue (? = -0.156, p = 0.199). These findings indicate that sustainability programs function more as motivational drivers rather than sources of employee exhaustion. The study concludes that organizations should integrate sustainability initiatives with effective communication, employee participation, and recognition systems to maximize motivational benefits while maintaining employee well-being.

Abstract

Psychological well-being is critical for employees in high-risk industries such as oil and gas due to intensive job demands, remote working conditions, and safety risks that may increase stress levels. This study, The Effect of Social Support and Resilience on Psychological Well-Being, With Self-Acceptance as a Mediating Variable, Among Employees of Pertamina’s Upstream Subholding, aims to examine the influence of social support and resilience on psychological well-being, with self-acceptance as a mediating variable among employees of Pertamina Subholding Upstream. A quantitative survey design was applied, involving 383 employees selected using the Slovin formula and purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. Findings indicate that social support and resilience have positive and significant effects on both self-acceptance and psychological well-being. The model demonstrates moderate explanatory power, with an R² value of 0.430 for psychological well-being. Psychological well-being is influenced by both external factors (social support) and internal factors (resilience and self-acceptance). Strengthening workplace support systems and individual psychological resources is essential to enhancing employee well-being and organizational performance in high-risk industrial settings. These findings highlight the importance of integrated mental health strategies within organizations, particularly through strengthening supportive leadership, peer relationships, and resilience-based interventions to improve employee well-being and sustain long-term productivity in the energy sector context.

Abstract

French pronunciation accuracy is an important aspect of international communication, particularly for diplomats and state officials who use French as a language of diplomacy. Differences between Indonesian and French phonological systems may cause pronunciation interference, affecting the clarity and professionalism of spoken messages. This study aims to identify and describe the types of French pronunciation errors produced by the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs in a public speech. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method. The data were obtained from a French-language speech video uploaded on YouTube and analyzed through phonological transcription using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) to compare the actual pronunciation with the standard French pronunciation. The results indicate eight pronunciation errors involving four major patterns: addition of final consonants, vowel substitution, sound deletion, and inappropriate nasalization. The findings show that the errors are mainly caused by Indonesian phonological interference and the tendency to pronounce French words based on their written forms. Several errors, such as accord pronounced with an additional final consonant, dans with an unnecessary [s] sound, and Indonésie with incorrect nasal vowel realization, demonstrate difficulties in mastering French phonological rules. These errors may influence intelligibility and semantic accuracy in diplomatic communication. In conclusion, mastery of French vocabulary alone is insufficient; effective diplomatic communication requires specific pronunciation training focusing on French phonological features, particularly silent consonants, nasal vowels, schwa, and grapheme-to-phoneme correspondence.

Abstract

Transshipment point maritime coal logistics involves high occupational safety risks due to dynamic sea conditions, continuous operations, and complex vessel-handling activities. Current monitoring practices primarily rely on CCTV systems for security purposes, limiting the real-time detection of unsafe acts and delaying corrective interventions, which contributes to recurring human-factor-related accidents. A gap remains between safety reporting mechanisms and real-time behavioral observation, indicating the need for proactive monitoring integration at the Bulk Sumatra site. This study designed a proactive occupational safety monitoring system to improve the early detection of unsafe acts and support decision-making in complex maritime operational environments. A qualitative case study approach was employed using observations, interviews, and document reviews conducted at a transshipment point. The collected data were analyzed using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), SWOT analysis (Internal Factor Analysis Summary [IFAS]–External Factor Analysis Summary [EFAS]), and Design Thinking to develop a user-centered monitoring framework. The findings revealed discrepancies between reported unsafe conditions and observed unsafe acts, highlighting the limitations of existing monitoring practices. CCTV systems were found to be underutilized for occupational safety purposes. The proposed system integrates risk-based camera placement, digital safety reporting, monitoring dashboards, risk classification, and structured follow-up mechanisms to enhance response effectiveness. The system design emphasizes early warning capabilities, faster supervisory intervention, and improved accountability across operational areas. The proposed model enhances safety visibility, accelerates risk mitigation, strengthens occupational safety controls, and supports improved safety performance in transshipment operations. This study contributes to the transition from reactive safety management toward proactive, risk-based decision-making within maritime coal logistics operations.

Abstract

Zakat Management Organizations (OPZs) play an important role in managing public funds, requiring high levels of transparency, accountability, and reliable financial reporting. However, many OPZs continue to face challenges in implementing PSAK 409 consistently due to limited accounting capabilities and inadequate financial information systems. The advancement of digital technology provides opportunities to improve accounting processes through automated, integrated, and standardized reporting systems. This study aimed to examine the effect of technology-based accounting implementation on financial statement quality and PSAK 409 compliance in Zakat Management Organizations. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive causal design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to OPZ managers and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing with statistical software. The results indicated that technology-based accounting implementation had a positive and significant effect on financial statement quality by improving the accuracy, relevance, reliability, and timeliness of financial information. Furthermore, technology adoption strengthened PSAK 409 compliance by supporting standardized recording procedures and reducing the risk of human errors in zakat financial management. The findings demonstrated that accounting technology functioned not only as an operational tool but also as an internal control mechanism that enhanced organizational accountability. This study concluded that digital transformation in accounting systems was essential for improving transparency, professionalism, and governance quality in Zakat Management Organizations.

Abstract

The increasing deployment of low-voltage distribution panels in coastal and industrial environments has created significant challenges due to corrosion, material degradation, and maintenance requirements of conventional metallic enclosures. Corrosion exposure can reduce equipment reliability, increase operational costs, and compromise electrical safety. This study aimed to design and evaluate a low-voltage distribution panel using recycled high-density polyethylene (rHDPE) as an alternative enclosure material for corrosive environments. The research employed an experimental approach involving material preparation, panel design, mechanical and electrical characterization, corrosion resistance testing, and verification based on IEC 61439-1 standards. The rHDPE compound was developed from post-consumer HDPE with magnesium hydroxide reinforcement and evaluated through tensile strength, impact resistance, dielectric strength, volume resistivity, salt spray exposure, and panel-level electrical performance tests. The results showed that the rHDPE panel achieved adequate mechanical properties with 93% retention of tensile strength and impact resistance compared with virgin HDPE, while providing superior electrical insulation performance with a dielectric strength of 18 kV/mm. The corrosion test demonstrated complete resistance after 500 hours of salt spray exposure, with no mass loss, surface degradation, or electrical resistance changes, whereas the mild steel reference panel experienced significant corrosion deterioration. IEC 61439-1 verification confirmed that the proposed panel met safety and performance requirements. The study concludes that recycled HDPE is a feasible, sustainable, and cost-effective material for low-voltage distribution panels, offering corrosion immunity, reduced maintenance, and environmental benefits.

Abstract

The increasing number of motor vehicles has led to a continuous rise in Pertalite fuel consumption, while petroleum reserves remain limited and non-renewable. One proposed solution is the application of a fuel cell (HHO generator), which utilizes water electrolysis to produce hydrogen and oxygen gases to support the combustion process inside the engine. However, studies examining the effect of fuel cell reactor volume on engine performance remain limited. This study aims to determine the effect of fuel cell reactor volume on the performance of a Pertalite-fueled engine using 75 mL of fuel. The research employed an experimental approach by comparing engine performance without a fuel cell and with a fuel cell equipped with a 180 mL reactor volume (containing an electrolyte solution of 5 g of caustic soda and 180 mL of distilled water, with a current of 3.5 Ah) at three engine speed levels (2000, 3000, and 4000 RPM), with each condition tested three times. The measured parameters included engine speed, operating duration, engine temperature, and battery voltage using a tachometer, stopwatch, temperature gauge, and avometer. The results showed that the use of a fuel cell with a 180 mL reactor volume increased the engine operating duration for the same fuel volume, with an average improvement of approximately 27.5% across the three tested speed levels. However, the final engine temperature tended to be higher, and the battery voltage slightly decreased after testing. These findings indicate that a 180 mL reactor volume provides improved fuel efficiency compared with the engine condition without a fuel cell.

Abstract

Air quality degradation caused by industrial activities, urbanization, and increasing transportation has become a significant environmental issue affecting human health and ecosystem sustainability. Conventional air quality inspection methods often require lengthy measurement processes and are unable to provide real-time information, resulting in limitations in continuous monitoring and decision-making. This research aims to design and develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air quality monitoring system integrated with the Mamdani Fuzzy Logic method to support real-time inspection processes and improve air quality classification accuracy. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The developed system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with multiple sensors to measure particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), and ozone (O3) parameters. Data transmission is conducted through GSM/LTE communication and visualized using a web-based monitoring platform. The results indicate that the system successfully performs real-time data acquisition, storage, visualization, and air quality classification based on Indeks Standar Pencemar Udara (ISPU) standards. The implementation of Mamdani Fuzzy Logic shows that air quality conditions were predominantly categorized as Good, with the highest ISPU value of 67 recorded at 12:00 due to increased PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations. The findings demonstrate that the proposed IoT-based monitoring system can provide an effective, automated, and structured solution to support air quality inspection processes. Future improvements are recommended through sensor calibration, the addition of environmental parameters, and integration with predictive intelligence models.

Abstract

Rice farming plays an important role in supporting national food security and the rural economy in Indonesia. However, rice farmers face several challenges, including increasing production costs, limited farming capital, land conversion, and uncertainty in agricultural sustainability. Dawuan Barat Village, Cikampek District, Karawang Regency, is one of the rice production centers with high agricultural potential, but farmers still experience constraints related to land ownership, rental costs, and production inputs. This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility of rice farming in Dawuan Barat Village based on production costs, revenue, income, and feasibility indicators. The research used a quantitative descriptive method conducted in August 2023. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires involving 35 selected farmers using a simple random sampling technique from a population of 131 farmers. The analysis employed cost, revenue, income, Revenue-Cost Ratio (R/C Ratio), and Break Even Point (BEP) calculations. The results showed that the average production cost was IDR 31,226,778 per planting season per farmer, with revenue of IDR 48,834,286 and income of IDR 17,607,508. The R/C Ratio value reached 1.56, indicating that rice farming is financially feasible. Furthermore, BEP analysis demonstrated that the selling price, production volume, and revenue exceeded the break-even point. Based on land-scale analysis, small, medium, and large-scale farmers also obtained R/C Ratio values above 1. Therefore, rice farming in Dawuan Barat Village is profitable and feasible to be continuously developed.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has driven significant transformations in various sectors, including the global financial sector. One of the most dynamic financial instruments is foreign exchange (forex), the trading of foreign currencies, which plays a crucial role in international economic activity. However, the high volatility and complexity of factors influencing exchange rates make predicting forex price movements a significant challenge. Conventional approaches such as fundamental and technical analysis are limited by their subjective nature and inability to recognize non-linear patterns in price data. This research aims to develop a data science-based forex prediction system with the integration of machine learning algorithms and an interactive web dashboard. The models used include Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU), designed to analyze time series data and capture long-term patterns in the EUR/USD currency pair's price movements. The development process follows the CRISP-DM (Cross Industry Standard Process for Data Mining) stages, including data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and system implementation. Thus, this research provides two main contributions: (1) academically, strengthening the application of Machine Learning methods in the field of digital finance based on Data Science, and (2) practically, producing a prototype of an interactive forex prediction system that can be used as a decision support system for traders and financial analysts.
