Abstract

Training students' critical thinking skills cannot be done with one-way learning because learning focuses only on the teacher. The inquiry learning model is very common for teachers because it involves students directly to conduct inquiries. This study aims to determine the influence of the inquiry learning model in chemistry learning to improve students' critical thinking. This study used the SLR (Systematic et al.) method. Data sources were obtained from articles, research journals, and electronic databases such as ERIC, Google Scholar, and Taylor & Francis. The variables used in this study are the dependent variable, namely the ability to think critically, and the independent variable, namely the inquiry learning model. Data is obtained through literature studies by capturing reputable and accredited national and international articles following the criteria studied. Twelve articles were obtained and then analyzed one by one. Each article briefly describes the results of its research. Student success with the inquiry learning model is seen from the increase in students' critical thinking skills. The study found that the inquiry learning model increased student competence, interest in learning, motivation, and critical thinking skills. The inquiry learning model can create a more active learning atmosphere to make learning more meaningful.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of numerical ability in class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Parigi Kab. Parigi Moutong. This research was carried out from January to March 2023. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. Data analysis using descriptive statistics. The sampling technique is random sampling. The research instrument used was a description numerical ability test. The results showed that the level of students' numerical abilities on the indicators of performing mathematical calculations was in the low category, with a percentage of 28.44%. The logical thinking indicator obtained low category results with a percentage of 28.24%. The problem-solving indicator obtained a very low category result of 11.45%. On indicators recognising patterns and relationships between numbers, results with a percentage are in the very low category. Data on the results of students' numerical abilities at SMA Negeri 1 Parigi are categorised as very low. The results of this study are expected to be a source of information regarding the numerical ability of class XI students in chemical equilibrium material.

Abstract

Understanding regarding the Minimum Competency Assessment has not been fully obtained by teachers. Teachers find it difficult to construct minimum competency assessment questions according to the criteria set in preparing for the National AKM. The purpose of this study was to find out how the level of depth of understanding of chemistry MGMP teachers in Sidoarjo regarding technology-based minimum competency assessment. Data collection techniques used in research are questionnaires, interviews, test questions, and documentation. The questions from the interview serve to explore the perspectives of AKM Teachers at MGMP Chemistry in Sidoarjo. The population formed as general student data related to AKM knowledge through Googleform. The results of the implementation of the open questionnaire on 15 MGMP chemistry teachers as a sample. The teacher's statement has represented the existing population. 75% of teachers strongly agree that it is necessary to prepare for AKM. In addition, 91.7% of teachers strongly agree and need teaching materials for AKM questions. As many as 91.7% of teachers strongly agree and need an application that facilitates the preparation of the National Assessment. Therefore, teachers really need intensive assistance in the preparation of the National Assessment, especially in abstract chemistry material.

Abstract

The development of globalization affects all aspects of life, including education. The world of education entering the fifth revolution is characterized by the use of digital devices and the internet in learning. This results in demands and responsibilities for teachers and students to train the framework of creativity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking known as 4C.One effective way to enhance students' critical thinking and communication skills is through the implementation of the ADI (Argument-Driven Inquiry) learning model. The application of the ADI model is focused on the activities of students in building their knowledge independently to convey the results of their findings as a form of communication. Implementing ADI in chemistry learning will train students to find a finding based on scientific evidence. However, implementing the ADI learning model has obstacles to achieving learning objectives. One is that students are less accustomed to arguing during learning. This causes the ADI learning model to need to be assisted by other approach models in order to increase the effectiveness of ADI learning. This literature review applies Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by reviewing the results of previous research and adjusting to the focus of the study. The results of the review of some of these studies indicate that applying the ADI learning model with the help of several approaches, such as metacognitive and practicum-assisted learning chemistry, provides better results in increasing students' critical thinking skills and scientific argumentation.

Abstract

Unemployment is one of the social problems occurring in almost every country in the world. In Indonesia itself, unemployment is dominated by vocational school graduates. Ideally, vocational schools are educational institutions that emphasize the formation of students to be ready and capable of facing the demands of the workforce and industry. However, in reality, vocational school graduates contribute significantly to the high rate of open unemployment in Indonesia. Therefore, various efforts and strategies have been made by various parties including schools to address this issue. One of these strategies is through the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Thus, the aim of this research is to describe and analyze the implementation of the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila with the theme of employment as an effort to achieve vocational education goals carried out at SMK Syubbanul Wathon in Tegalrejo, Magelang Regency. The approach used in this research is qualitative research with a case study design. The techniques used by the researcher to collect research data are through interviews, observations, and document studies. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of the Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila  with the theme of employment not only shapes students to have abilities according to the demands of the business world and industry through activities such as creating job application letters and CVs as well as interview simulations but also shapes characters in accordance with the Pancasila student profile needed to compete in the global competence arena and support and provide a strong foundation for the competencies possessed by students to avoid misdirection.

Abstract

Vibration and wave material in science subjects has several abstract concepts that make junior high school students' learning motivation low. One way to increase student learning motivation is to develop interactive learning media. This study uses the ADDIE model which consists of the stages of analysis - design - development - implementation - evaluation. The purpose of this research is to produce interactive media based on an Articulate Storyline on vibration and wave material that is valid, feasible, and able to motivate students to learn. The results of the interactive media that have been developed have the following content, namely, a) a description of the concept of vibration and wave material, b) the role of waves in various natural phenomena, c) a mathematical equation of the concept of vibration and waves. Then for the results of the expert validation test, our media was declared very valid with a percentage of 100% by material experts and 95.0% by media experts. Furthermore, from the results of the due diligence, our media obtained very appropriate criteria with a score of 96.2% by students and 98.0% by teachers. Meanwhile, from the results of the student learning motivation questionnaire after learning, our media obtained a percentage of 91.1% in the very good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the interactive media based on Articulate Storyline that we developed on vibration and wave material for junior high school students is valid, feasible, and able to motivate students to learn.
