COVIT (Community Service of Health) : Jurnal pengabdian kesehatan masyarakat adalah jurnal yang mempublikasikan hasil pengabdian kesehatan masyarakat yang terintegrasi dengan bidang kesehatan masyarakat. Jurnal ini berguna bagi tenaga kesehatan masyarakat di dinas kesehatan, puskesmas, mahasiswa kesehatan masyarakat, tenaga pengajar kesehatan masyarakat khususnya dan bidang kesehatan lainnya pada umumnya. Jurnal Pengabdian kesehatan masyarakat menerima naskah dalam bentuk hasil-hasil pengabdian masyarakat baik dalam bahasa Indonesia maupun bahasa Inggris. Naskah yang diterima adalah naskah yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya. Kami berharap artikel-artikel pada edisi ini bermanfaat bagi dunia ilmu kesehatan masyarakat dan dunia kesehatan.

Abstract

A disaster is an unexpected event for everyone, it is impossible to know when and where the disaster will come, disaster will always stalk us no matter adults, elderly, or children. Fire is a type of disaster that can have a major impact on all living things. Mitigation is an effort to prevent or minimize the potential impact of a disaster event. Disaster mitigation education, especially in fire disasters, needs to be instilled from an early age. In addition, childhood is a golden period, so the orphanage is the main target of fire prevention and control programs. This activity aims to provide disaster mitigation education to orphanage children because high-rise building fires in Indonesia are a fairly frequent problem and must be taken seriously. Community service activities are carried out in the form of counseling regarding fire disaster mitigation at the Tanjung Barat Orphanage. The community service method carried out was given a pretest to 14 children consisting of boys and girls to measure their knowledge of Fire Disaster Management, followed by the delivery of materials, and games, and after that a posttest to determine the understanding of the 14 children towards the material provided. The results of the pretest showed an average target knowledge of 73.6 and the post-test results increased by an average of 86.4. Thus, it was concluded that the knowledge of the children at the Tanjung Barat Orphanage increased after being given the material on Fire Disaster Management. With this increase in knowledge, it is hoped that the children at the Tanjung Barat Orphanage can carry out Fire Disaster Management according to the correct procedures without any sense of fear. Abstract

Kampar Regency is one of the banana producers in Riau Province. As a producer of very broad bananas, many types are planted, such as: plantain, stone, bantan, sticks and so on. Bananas are very easy to get at a cheaper price, so they have the potential to develop activities into various variations and have a high selling value. This banana is very useful, banana is a healthy and delicious type that contains fiber, antioxidants and also contains lots of Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, carbohydrates and protein which are good for consumption for anyone. Bananas are an important source of fiber which helps the digestive system and is good for dieting. The purpose of this activity is to assist farmers in increasing the purchase of bananas produced by processing bananas into healthy, tasty, and attractive products for consumers to sell. Processed products such as banana satay, banana sigho and banana sanok. Banana processing is expected to improve the economy of banana farmers because so far bananas are only sold cheaply to collectors or traders at very low prices and get little profit from their harvests. Constraints faced by farmers are the use of science and technology in terms of banana production by using a blender, the purchase price of banana farmers is not proportional to the profits obtained because collectors and actors provide low prices to farmers, low motivation in banana processing. Activities that will be carried out in this Community Partnership Program include several development efforts, namely: 1. Use of science and technology in terms of banana production, which aims to make it easier for farmers to start, 2. motivate banana farmers to become entrepreneurs, 3. Training / practice of making products from bananas because there are so many products that can be made from bananas themselves. The product variants made are banana satay, sigho banana, sanok banana, 4. Packing / packaging the product until it is ready for sale, 5. Sales strategy with bananas to collectors or directly to the traditional market in Kampar district. And processed products from bananas will be sold to stalls, or opening stalls, on the internet. Abstract

Since March 2020, Indonesian has become one of  the countries on the list of the spread of the Covid-19 virus pandemic. This has an impact on the education sector. Elementary school age children are one of the age groups that are vulnerable to the Covid-19 virus and Indonesia in of the countries with the highest child Covid-19 death rate in the world. The year 2022 is known as the normal area. The Ministry of Education and Culture gives regional authority to hold limited face-to-face meetings while continuing to carry out health protocols. One of health protocols implemented is wearing a mask. Health education that is often done is wearing the right mask, but for education what do and don’t while wearing mask, removing the mask and disposing of the mask properly is still rarely done. The use of masks and proper treatment of mask contribute to breaking the chain of the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. This activity aims to provide education on the importance of mask management, mask removal, and mask disposal. The method used is counseling and joint simulation. Abstract

Banana is one of Indonesia's leading commodities. Harvested area and banana production always occupy the first position. In 2012 the total production was 6,189,043 tons and the banana harvested area in Indonesia reached 103,157 hectares, with a productivity of 59.99 tons/ha. Indonesia itself is the fourth largest banana producing country in the world. Banana flowers have many health benefits, including high fiber content, low protein and fat, and a source of minerals such as magnesium, iron and copper. Dietary fiber is known to be useful for lowering blood cholesterol levels, normalizing blood glucose and insulin levels so that it is good for consumption by people with diabetes mellitus. In addition, banana heart has a very high antioxidant activity, most of which comes from anthocyanin compounds which are included in the flavonoid and polyphenol groups. The purpose of this activity is to explore innovative ideas, increase creativity, instill an entrepreneurial spirit, train mentally and teach to work hard and be responsible. In addition, another goal is to reduce the waste generated by processing them into banana heart chips and banana heart chips. There are several obstacles faced, namely (1) Limited capital. (2) Low motivation for entrepreneurship with banana heart as the main ingredient. (3) There is no diversity of banana heart products. (4) There is no packaging and marketing of banana blossoms. Abstract

Universities carry out three main tasks of academic activities, namely providing education, research, and community service, which has been known as the Tridarma of Higher Education. Community Service is an activity of applying science and technology which includes development, dissemination and civilizing of science and technology among youth in the context of improving the creative economy. According to estimates from the Central Statistics Agency, it is estimated that Indonesia will experience a demographic bonus during the years 2030-2040. This means that in this period, the condition of the Indonesian people will be dominated by the productive age compared to the non-productive age. It is projected that as many as 297 million Indonesians are of productive age and youth are part of the productive age population, which is dominated by the age of 28-29 years. One of the roles of youth in development, among others, can be seen from the employment side. Youth capacity and productivity are expected in an optimal labor market and able to drive economic activity, for this reason it is necessary to understand the benefits of the creative economy among people in order to increase creativity and create new jobs. The method of implementing the activities carried out was by providing socialization to participants of the Ramadhan Scout Islamic Boarding School in Sibolga City which consisted of 40 high school students throughout Sibolga City. The output of this activity is expected that participants can increase creativity and creativity in the creative economy business based on the ability and process of creating something based on ideas, ideas and creativity. Abstract

Patient satisfaction is one form of the quality of hospital services where the better the service provided to patients, the better the quality of service at the hospital. One way to increase patient satisfaction is to communicate assertively. The purpose of this counseling activity is to add insight and knowledge for nurses and to increase nurses' awareness about the application of assertive behavior in providing services. This activity begins by asking questions about knowledge about nurses' assertive behavior in providing nursing services. Followed by giving material using power point and giving leaflets. The result of this activity is that there is an increase in knowledge about nursing assertive behavior by as much as 90%. Abstract

COVID-19 can spread from person to person especially when an infected person is in close contact with other people. One of the efforts to break the chain of spread of COVID-19 is to prevent COVID-19 which requires understanding and knowledge and good and correct behavior from all elements including nurses. The purpose of this counseling activity is to add insight and knowledge for nurses and can increase nurse awareness to carry out prevention and self-protection efforts as well as carry out health protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic. This activity was carried out at the Bengkulu City Health Center. This activity began by asking questions about knowledge about COVID-19. Followed by giving material using power point and giving leaflets. The result of this activity was an increase in knowledge about COVID-19 by 90%. Abstract

Hypertension is a condition in which a person experiences an abnormal and continuous increase in blood pressure on several examinations. Hypertension is characterized by blood pressure readings that exceed a value of more than 140 mmHg (systolic) and 90 mmHg (diastolic). Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease that can cause other diseases such as stroke, diabetes mellitus and coronary heart disease. The purpose of this activity is to reduce the incidence of hypertension and increase public knowledge. This activity was held in RT 24, Rejowinangun, Kotagede, Yogyakarta. This activity begins with collecting data, determining the priority of the problem, after that it is continued with the distribution of posters to the surrounding community. Abstract

Home industry is an independent business unit carried out by a group of people in a family. One that is included in the Home industry category is UD.WARAS with the type of oyster mushroom farming business. The packaging of oyster mushroom agricultural products is packaged in plastic and bound using an electric transformer modified with wires that are far from K3 elements. At the peak of harvesting, many mushrooms are not selling well in the market due to the many competitors from outside the region and the packaging that is less attractive than the competitors' packaging. In this PKM, it seeks to develop a home industry by providing packaging equipment in the form of a vacuum cleaner. The method in this PKM provides training on product packaging with a vocum cleaner, provides assistance to create new product packaging by adding better stamps and stickers, provides directions for making oyster mushroom crispy crackers, and explains the importance of digital marketing in this digitalization era.
