Abstract

Tourism plays an important role in regional economic development, and beach tourism is one of the main attractions in Lampung. This study aims to analyze the attractiveness of beach tourism in Lampung and its influence on tourists' interest. Various factors such as natural beauty, accessibility, facilities, environmental sustainability, and promotional efforts are examined to determine their impact on tourists' interest in visiting. This study uses a Likert scale by distributing questionnaires through a purposive sampling method to 200 respondents, with Smart PLS 3.0 as the analytical tool. The results indicate that natural beauty, well-maintained infrastructure, and effective marketing strategies significantly influence tourists' interest. However, several challenges such as waste management, security issues, and limited public transportation remain obstacles in the development of beach tourism in this region. Findings from this study suggest that improving beach management, strengthening promotional strategies, and implementing sustainable tourism practices can further enhance tourists' interest in Lampung's beach destinations. This research provides valuable insights for local governments, tourism stakeholders, and business operators in developing more competitive and attractive beach tourism.

Abstract

Sustainable tourism is a crucial aspect in maintaining the attractiveness of tourist destinations while minimizing environmental and economic impacts. This study aims to analyze the influence of tourist satisfaction, environmental impact, and destination attractiveness on the sustainability of tourism at Lampung Marriott Resort & Spa. This research employs a quantitative approach using a simple random sampling method, involving 100 tourists visiting the destination. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using regression tests with SPSS version 23 to examine the relationships between the research variables. The findings reveal that tourist satisfaction, environmental impact, and destination attractiveness have a significant positive effect on tourism sustainability. High tourist satisfaction indicates that the services and facilities provided meet visitors’ expectations. Effective environmental management contributes to maintaining long-term destination appeal, while destination attractiveness, including natural beauty and cultural diversity, plays a key role in attracting more visitors. This study concludes that achieving tourism sustainability requires continuous improvement in service quality, sustainable environmental management strategies, and innovation in destination development. Therefore, tourism managers should enhance visitor experiences and implement sustainability principles to maintain long-term competitiveness.

Abstract

For strategic tourism planning in Jember, data-based segmentation must be applied in order to optimize destination management. The clustering of tourist attractions in Jember needs to be categorized in order to derive descriptive patterns and support the policies pertaining to tourism development. Experiments apply K-Means Clustering, DBSCAN, and Agglomerative Clustering methodologies to classify the tourist sites based upon name, rating, ticket prices, location, and reviews. Data Preprocessing involves encoding for categorical features, scaling for numerical features, and addressing missing values. Elbow Method, Silhouette Score, Davies-Bouldin Score, and Calinski-Harabasz Score are applied to ascertain the most fitting clustering solution. K-means clustering has identified three major clusters: high-priced premium destinations, low-priced mass spread destinations, and overwhelmingly crowded yet highly satisfactory destinations. DBSCAN shows two distinctive clusters and outlier clusters with unique destinations. Agglomerative Clustering gives clear separate clusters of high, middle, and low-cost attractions. Such findings are useful for tourism stakeholders to develop targeted marketing policies, improve visitor experiences, and use their resources in the most efficient way. By the performance indicators of each cluster, tourism managers can optimize service quality and competitiveness of the destination. This study assists in data-informed decision-making in regional tourism planning which goes hand in hand with sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the legal protection of consumers in tourism digital marketing strategies in the digital economy era. As the tourism industry develops to utilize digital platforms for marketing, new challenges related to consumer protection arise, such as information transparency, misuse of personal data, and potential fraud in digital transactions. Therefore, it is important to evaluate existing legal protection mechanisms to safeguard consumer rights and ensure the sustainability of the tourism industry. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, collecting data through document analysis, legal literature, and interviews with industry players and consumers. Legal analysis was conducted by comparing the prevailing practices in the tourism sector with legal provisions in Indonesia, such as the Consumer Protection Law (Law No. 8/1999) and the Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27/2022). The results show that while there is a strong legal basis for consumer protection, its implementation in the digital tourism sector still faces challenges. Some of the main issues are the lack of information transparency and the potential misuse of personal data. Many consumers feel uninformed about the products they purchase and are concerned about the leakage of their personal data. The conclusion of this study is that Indonesia's tourism sector needs to strengthen consumer protection, especially in terms of information transparency and personal data management. It is recommended that the government and tourism industry players raise awareness and strengthen regulations and supervision of digital marketing practices.

Abstract

In the case of COVID-19, the intention of people to travel has been influenced heavily by digital touchpoints especially from influencer content. This study aims to explain the mediating role of the image of the destination in the relationship between influencer-generated content and travel intention in the context of tourism recovery following the pandemic. A questionnaire was given to potential travelers, out of a total of 300 administered surveys, 227 responses were considered valid. The relationships were tested using regression analysis. The results of the study suggest that influencer marketing enhances the intention to travel more than anticipated and that the image of the destination as a powerful intermediary factor plays a great role. Travelers who were able exposed to engaging, authentic, and trustworthy content written by travel influencers tended to have high perceptions of the destination. These findings propose integrated digital storytelling and image strategy are necessary for tourism destinations trying to restore confidence and demand in the market. This study adds to the body of literature on digital tourism by providing empirical evidence regarding the mechanisms of travel intention towards tourism destinations in the post-pandemic world.
