Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a supporting tutor in learning Nahwu and Sharaf for third-semester students of the Arabic Language Education Study Program (PBA) at IAIN Ternate in the 2025–2026 academic year. This study used a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, combining quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data were obtained through pre- and post-tests to measure learning outcome improvements, while qualitative data were collected through perception questionnaires, interviews, and learning observations. The results of the study indicate that the use of AI improves learning outcomes from moderate to high, particularly in the aspects of understanding Nahwu rules, i’rab, and Sharaf application. Qualitative findings revealed that AI plays an effective role in supporting self-directed learning, enhancing student engagement, and serving as a supplementary tutor that complements the role of the lecturer. Nevertheless, pedagogical guidance from lecturers remains necessary for conceptual and abstract materials.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the role of image media in improving the mastery of Indonesian vocabulary among second-grade students of MIS Fathul Munir, Ternate City. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design through a one-group pretest–posttest design. The research subjects were 24 students enrolled in the course. The data collection techniques included vocabulary tests, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the percentage of improvement and Normalized Gain (N-Gain). The results showed that the average score of students increased from 56.25 in the pre-test to 82.08 in the post-test. The percentage of learning completeness increased from 25% to 87.5%, with an N-Gain value of 0.59, which is included in the moderate category. These results indicate that image media play an effective role in improving students' mastery of Indonesian vocabulary. The use of image media also increases students' activeness and learning motivation during the learning process. Thus, image media can be used as an alternative strategy for learning Indonesian vocabulary by lower-grade students of Islamic elementary schools.

Abstract

Transparency of academic information is an important indicator of good university governance. The utilization of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) is expected to support academic information openness for students effectively and sustainably. This study aims to analyze SIAKAD’s contribution to the transparency of academic information for students at IAIN Ternate. This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational descriptive design. Data were collected through closed questionnaires using a Likert scale for active SIAKAD users and then analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple regression analysis. The results of the study show that the utilization of SIAKAD falls into the good category, with online KRS entry, grade access, and class schedule information being the most frequently used services. The regression analysis results indicate that SIAKAD has a positive and significant effect on transparency in academic information. This finding suggests that the more optimally SIAKAD is utilized, the higher the level of academic information transparency that students perceive. However, delays in data updates and inconsistencies in information input remain issues that require attention. This study recommends improving the quality of SIAKAD management and strengthening the commitment of all academic components to achieve optimal academic information transparency.

Abstract

Islamic thought views life as a trust from Allah, containing the values of monotheism, ethics, and human responsibility as caliphs on earth. This perspective has important implications for learning Biology in Madrasah Aliyah, which substantially studies the phenomena of life. This study aims to analyze the implications of Islamic thought on life for the design of biology learning in Madrasah Aliyah. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a field study type. The research subjects included biology teachers, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and 11th-grade students. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, and then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model.. The research results indicate that teachers have a normative understanding of life from an Islamic perspective, but this understanding has not yet been fully internalized systematically in the design of biology learning. The integration of Islamic values is still partial and has not been explicitly formulated in the objectives, methods, and evaluation of learning processes. This study concludes that Islamic thought on life needs to be used as a philosophical and pedagogical foundation in the development of biology learning designs so that learning is not only oriented toward mastering scientific concepts, but also toward fostering students' spiritual awareness and life ethics.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the use of natural resources in early childhood learning at RA Alkhairat Kalumpang. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with three teachers and 42 students from Groups A and B as subjects. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results showed that teachers utilized various natural resources, such as leaves, gravel, soil, sand, and water, in learning activities, although they were not systematically planned in written learning materials. The use of natural resources can create active, contextual, and child-centered learning. Children show higher levels of participation and enthusiasm, as well as positive development in cognitive, motor, socio-emotional, and language aspects. These findings are in line with Piaget's cognitive development theory, the Montessori approach, and contextual learning, which emphasize the importance of concrete learning experiences and direct interaction with the environment. The obstacles encountered included limited lesson planning, preparation time, and concerns about the cleanliness and safety of natural resources. This study concludes that natural resources are effective, economical, and relevant learning resources for improving the quality of early childhood learning.

Abstract

Student learning problems are one of the main challenges in the implementation of education in Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic Senior High School), which can impact students' academic achievement and psychological development. Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers play a strategic role in helping students overcome these problems through appropriate guidance and counseling services. This study aimed to analyze the role of BK teachers in addressing student learning problems at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Ternate City using a person-centered approach. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving BK teachers and students who experienced learning problems. Data analysis was carried out thematically through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and its validity was tested through the triangulation of sources and techniques. The results show that BK teachers apply a person-centered approach by building empathetic counseling relationships, accepting students without stigma, and encouraging student independence in finding learning solutions. This approach contributes to increased learning motivation, academic self-confidence, and student awareness of learning strategies that are appropriate for their personal conditions. However, the implementation of BK services still faces obstacles, such as limited service time and stigma towards BK services. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening person-centered guidance and counseling services within the context of madrasas.
