Abstract

The mining industry plays a pivotal role in the global economy, but it faces significant challenges related to occupational safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Mine inspectors are essential in ensuring mining operations adhere to safety standards and regulations. The supervisors' leadership styles heavily influence these inspectors' performance. This systematic review examines the impact of leadership models—transformational, transactional, situational leadership, and Herzberg's two-factor theory—on mine inspector performance. Researchers have found that transformational leadership, characterized by inspiration and motivation, significantly enhances job performance, satisfaction, and commitment among employees. Transactional leadership, which focuses on supervision, organization, and performance through rewards and punishments, is effective at ensuring compliance and efficiency. Situational leadership emphasizes the need for leaders to adapt their style to their followers' developmental levels, promoting flexibility and responsiveness. Herzberg's two-factor theory differentiates between motivators and hygiene factors, highlighting the importance of job satisfaction in enhancing performance. The path-goal theory, which outlines the leader's role in clearing the path toward goals, also provides valuable insights. The review concludes that transformational leadership is particularly effective in improving mine inspector performance, but a combination of leadership styles tailored to specific situations and needs is essential for optimal results. This understanding can guide mining industry leaders in adopting strategies that enhance safety, compliance, and overall operational efficiency.

Abstract

This research analyzes the contribution of leg power, agility, flexibility, and speed to the T-kick ability of PPLP Dispora South Sulawesi martial arts athletes. We use quantitative methods with a correlational analysis approach. The results showed that agility made the largest contribution to T-kick ability with 83.3%, followed by leg power at 68.8%. Speed contributed 40.5%, while flexibility contributed the lowest at 24.7%. The combined analysis of the four variables (leg power, agility, flexibility, and speed) on T-kicking ability shows a very significant contribution, namely 96.0%. In conclusion, agility and leg power have a dominant role in improving an athlete's T-kick ability. Even though flexibility has the lowest contribution, the combination of these four factors is very decisive in developing T-kick ability. These findings can be a valuable reference for coaches when designing effective training programs to improve the performance of South Sulawesi Dispora PPLP martial arts athletes.

This study aims to ascertain the impact of the Box Skip Exercise on the leg muscle power of pre-service teachers at STKIP YPUP Makassar. This study employs an experimental design, specifically a quasi-experimental design. In this study, the population and sample were the pre-service teachers of STKIP YPUP Makassar, with a sample size of 30 people divided into two treatment groups and a control group. We used the t-test to test the research data. The research data that was tested with the t-test shows that the treatment group's data has a calculated T value that is higher than the T table with a value of 9.291>1.753. The significance value of 0.00 falls below 0.05, indicating that box skip exercise has a significant impact on the leg muscle power of physical education pre-service teachers. In contrast, the data from the control group revealed a calculated T value of 3.674, which exceeded the T table by 1.753. Additionally, the significance value of 0.00 was less than 0.05, indicating that the treatment group had a greater influence than the control group. Based on the above data, we can conclude that the treatment group exerted a greater influence than the control group in enhancing the leg muscle power of physical education pre-service teachers at STKIP YPUP Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether a play approach improves learning outcomes for basic 60-meter running movements in class V Elementary School Lariang Bangi 1 Makassar. This study employed a classroom action research (PTK) approach, utilizing two cycles. In this research, the independent variable is the playing approach, while the dependent variable is the result of learning the basic movements of the 60-meter run. The population of this research was all 30 students of class V of Lariang Bangi 1 Makassar Elementary School; the sample was drawn using a total sampling technique. We collected the research data by implementing a play-based approach and monitoring the student's progress in mastering the fundamental movements of running 60 meters. We used descriptive statistics, along with percentages, as the data analysis technique. The study findings revealed that using the play method in the basic movement test of running 60 meters could improve the learning outcomes of class V students at Lariang Bangi 1 Makassar State Elementary School. Cycle I to cycle II scores demonstrate the improvement in learning outcomes for the basic movements of running 60 meters. In cycle I the completion value was 67%, and in cycle II it was 87%. The average value of learning outcomes for the basic movements of running 60 meters also increased, reaching 74 in cycle I and 82 in cycle II. Based on these findings, we can deduce that class V students Elementary School experienced a rise in learning outcomes for the fundamental movements of running 60 meters using a play-based approach.
