Abstract

Gayatri Widya Mandala Orphanage is an orphanage that prioritizes education based on the Belief in God whose activities are related to religion, such as making ceremonial facilities (banten) and other activities that preserve local cultural wisdom. In addition, this orphanage prioritizes formal education in schools and non-formal education related to improving children's ability to communicate in English. The problem faced by this orphanage is how to make English lessons more enjoyable and not frightening. The solution given is to provide English training for the children in a fun way, namely with games and adding vocabulary, as well as correct pronunciation. The implementation method used is a survey in the field, determining the schedule of activities, preparation, explanation, training, and ending with an evaluation. The result is that the children really enjoy the training provided and actively interact with the team and it is proven that the results of the evaluation given in writing have obtained good results.

Abstract

Snail shells carried by ocean currents to the shore can be reused into various types of skills. The basic shape and color of the snail shell add to its aesthetic value if it is processed into various skills, one of which is making it a keychain. This empowerment activity aims to preserve coastal areas from snail shell waste. The method used by the author includes providing material about opportunities and utilization of natural products, namely snail shell waste, then this activity also carries out manufacturing practices, as well as discussions. The results of the empowerment efforts show that most of the participants are not aware of the existence of business opportunities by utilizing natural products. After conducting a discussion among the participants, they intended to make hand skills using natural products around the beach.

Abstract

Misi dan visi utama Sekolah Islam Terpadu Prima Insani Palembang adalah menyelenggarakan pendidikan formal yang islami. Untuk mewujudkan misi dan visi tersebut maka Sekolah Islam Terpadu Prima Insani Palembang melaksanakan tiga bentuk pendidikan yaitu pendidikan formal di pagi dan siang hari dalam bentuk taman kanak-kanak, sekolah dasar, dan sekolah menengah pertama. Pada masa pandemi Covid-19 ini penyelenggaraan proses pembelajaran di Sekolah Islam Terpadu Prima Insani tidak berjalan dengan baik. Proses pembelajaran banyak dilakukan dalam bentuk daring dengan memanfaatkan teknologi internet. Sayang proses pembelajaran ini belum berjalan dengan baik karena keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan para guru memanfaatkan teknologi internet sebagai media pembelajaran digital yang terstruktur dengan baik sebagai pendukung proses pembelajaran pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kerjasama dosen-mahasiswa ini akan memberikan pelatihan dan penyuluhan agar dapat membantu para guru untuk memanfaatkan teknologi internet learning sebagai media pembelajaran digital.

Abstract

Health problems can be caused by the emergence of diseases in the human body as a result of bad daily life habits or can also be caused by hereditary diseases (genes). One type of disease that is commonly experienced by people in Indonesia is high blood pressure and diabetes. The lack of awareness to maintain the health of the people who live in rural areas is one of the factors causing the high number of sufferers of both types of disease every year. The purpose of this activity is to provide education in the form of efforts to increase public awareness of hypertension and diabetes mellitus as well as health services for the community in the form of checking blood pressure and diabetes mellitus. The method in this activity is in the form of a lecture method followed by direct activities in the form of health services to the community. From this activity, it was found that the community seemed enthusiastic about attending this activity and happy with the services provided, for that it is hoped that the people in Desa Silau Dunia can increase their concern for health through the activities that have been carried out.

Abstract

Fires that occur will have an impact on the community, namely causing losses to both property owned and human souls. Fire is a disaster that threatens and is very scary for everyone. The extension is the process of conveying information to others by an extension worker. Counseling on the dangers of fire and rescue efforts is given to the GPI congregation of children and youth (PAR). Papua Berthlehem Sorong city. This activity aims to increase knowledge and provide behavior change for children and adolescents about the dangers of fire. The method used in counseling is educating through lectures, discussions, and questions and answers as well as the presentation of material in the form of power points. The results showed that from the results of the posttest and pretest tests, the average knowledge values ​​were 4.2 and 8.1. After being given counseling, there is an increase in knowledge with a difference of 3.9. This activity concludes that there is an increase in knowledge that is getting better and changes in behavior in children and adolescents after counseling and education about the dangers of fire and rescue efforts are carried out. For this reason, we hope that in the future the government, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and Religious Institutions can increase collaboration with universities in community service activities regarding fire hazard education and rescue efforts for children and adolescents.

Abstract

The community service activity program given to partners is in the form of training in the manufacture of aromatherapy-based liquid detergent with drill mixer technology. In the process of this activity, participants will be given a drill mixer as a technology stirrer that produces large amounts of liquid detergent. The process of this activity is also the community service team providing knowledge of the product marketing process that has been made as a group business. The basis of the goal of the community service team to select the Ms. PKK group in Matang Teupah Village, Bendahara District, Aceh Tamiang Regency is that the PKK group has the potential to advance the group, but they are limited in knowledge and funds to start from where to start a business and make products as income. economics for groups. Thus, this service activity was precisely carried out, the proof of this that the service team obtained it was seen by the enthusiasm of Mrs. PKK in Matang Teupah Village who attended the training activity and they were also enthusiastic to help the service team in the process of making liquid detergent. We use the results of this activity as data in distributing an understanding questionnaire which will be evidence that the sustainability of service activities will be carried out next. The results obtained from the questionnaire understanding of 89% on the indicators of knowledge of product-making materials, it can be concluded that service activities have a positive impact on the PKK group.

Abstract The world of education changes as the impact of Industrial Revolution 4.0. All parties experience rapid changes and transformations in the fields of information, technology, and communication. After learning is carried out remotely due to the pandemic, teachers have different needs that should be accommodated. This decision to meet their needs have to be made because blended learning will take place due to the increasingly developing technology and the new normal faced by the world of education. Professional Development Program is a great way to help teachers improve these skills on an ongoing basis which has an impact on teachers and education in general. Abstract

The development of mobile or android-based technology is now very advanced and is often used for the world of information technology, business, education and learning media. Along with the fulfillment of the needs of android-based programmers in the city of Medan, it is still far from the expected amount even though the income obtained by mastering this programming is very large, as evidenced by the large number of new rich people who have succeeded through mastering this android-based mobile programming. The development of mobile or android-based technology is now very advanced and is often used for the world of information technology, business, education and learning media. Along with the fulfillment of the needs of android-based programmers in the city of Medan, it is still far from the expected amount even though the income obtained by mastering this programming is very large, as evidenced by the large number of new rich people who have succeeded through mastering this android-based mobile programming. From the results of the questionnaire, the level of understanding of participants in the use of android applications, namely 85% stated that they understood using android applications in the operation of mathematical calculations. And 15% do not understand. And from the results of the satisfaction level of participants who stated that they were very satisfied by 90% with the activities carried out. And 10% are dissatisfied with the reason the training time is too short.

Abstract

Based on the results of surveys and observations, high abrasion has been seen on the western coast of Kei Kecil Barat District, Southeast Maluku Regency as well as Sevav Hamlet, Ohoidertom Village. Geographically, the location of the village is directly opposite the open sea. therefore causing high wave pressure accompanied by strong winds to hit the coast throughout the west monsoon. This is caused by the loss of coastal vegetation due to community activities. Therefore, it is very important to take steps to rehabilitate the coastal area by involving the community and youth of Ohoidertom village. This community service activity includes socialization and training conducted in May 2021. The purpose of this activity is to educate the community about the benefits of mangroves for the coastal environment, then increase awareness of the mangrove ecosystem and to train the community to carry out coastal rehabilitation through mangrove cultivation. This community service activity uses interactive dialogue and training methods. The result of this socialization and training activity was an agreement from Sevav traditional leaders to implement the "sasi", where the prohibition contained customary sanctions for people who intentionally damaged mangroves, taking snails in the Sevav Ratut mangrove forest area. Furthermore, it is known that the community is well educated to rehabilitate the coastal area of Sevav Ratut, and the implementation of mangrove cultivation of three mangrove species namely Rhizophora apicullata, Rhizophora mucronata and Bruiguiera gymnorhiza which consists of 300 trees..

Abstract

Alai Village which is located in Lembak District, Muara Enim Regency is an area that has considerable potential in producing pineapples, but has not been utilized optimally by farmers, most of the pineapples produced are directly sold raw without being processed by them. The processing of pineapples packaged in plastic zippers is intended to extend the shelf life of the fruit, maintain the nutritional value, and increase the economic value of the fruit. With this processing empowerment, it is hoped that it can help improve the village economy and utilize pineapple raw materials that are more durable to bring up various innovations of processed pineapple in a sustainable manner.
