SP is a journal containing the results of research/non-research studies related to arts, including fine arts, performing arts, the arts of film, and also about arts education. JSP is a collection of research, literal study, performing art review, art studies, and critical study in Indonesia. JSP is published twice a year in April and October by the Dance Education Study Program in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Lampung University (UNILA). The journal welcomes articles from a wide range of theoretical and methodological approaches to research, and encourages submissions from the broader fields of education and the arts that are concerned with learning through art and creative education.

Abstract

Tarumpah is a typical Tasikmalaya leather craft. One of the manufacturers that produces this tarumpah leather craft is the Bido Collection Company which started producing tarumpah from 1997, with innovative and modern style models as well as strong and durable resistance, this makes the tarumpah produced by the Bido Collection unique. The research method used is qualitative research with an analytical descriptive. The results of this study say that the history of tarumpah is divided into 3 periods, namely the Hindu and Buddhist periods of the 9th century to the 13th century, the Islamic period of the 15th century to 1930, and the period after independence in 1950-2000. The process of making the first tarumpah leather patterning and cutting, secondly painting, thirdly leather rubbing and re-patterning, fourthly giving motifs, sizes and brands, fifthly upper fitting, sixth fitting of soles, seventh sewing, eighth sanding and finishing. Tarumpah regeneration at the Bido Collection occurred in 2015 and 2018 because many craftsmen left and needed craftsmen for production. Craftsmen training in Bido is carried out for 3 months. Abstract

This research aims to describe how Arts and Culture Learning Assessment Activities Use the Plickers Application at SMAN 13 Bandar Lampung. There are six stages in carrying out assessment activities, namely determining objectives, determining assessment plans, preparing assessment instruments, collecting data or information, analysis and interpretation, and follow-up. The method used in this research is qualitative with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that the arts and culture learning assessment activity using the Plickers application includes six stages, namely: (1) Selecting the type of formative assessment, (2) Selecting the form of assessment, accessing the account, creating a name, printing a card, (3) Creating 10 questions and inputting them into plickers application, (4) Start carrying out assessments using the plickers application, (5) Analyze and download answer results and question percentages on the plickers application, (6) Make decisions from student assessment results. As a whole, arts and culture learning assessment activities using the Plickers application have been carried out according to the stages by the teacher and received a positive response from students.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan stuktur lagu Canon  in D. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Proses analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Analisis dan observasi difokuskan pada permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan bentuk dan struktur lagu Canon in D . Hasil penelitian ini merujuk pada salah satu cara dalam memainkan irama musik dimana sekumpulan nada berdasarkan interval-interval tertentu dengan karakteristik pengulangan atau peniruan nada. Canon in D merupakan komposisi lagu satu bagian yaitu A (a a’) yang artinya pertanyaan ditirukan atau diulang dengan variasi dalam jawabannya. Kode A (a a’) berarti bahwa lagu Canon in D terdiri dari 1 kalimat saja; maka diberi kode A. Bentuk musik dalam Canon Pachelbel memiliki Time Signature atau birama berjenis common time atau 4/4 bagian dengan total 57 bar dan bertempo 52 BPM.  birama yang terdiri dari sekitar 13 motif melodi Canon. Kata Kunci: Analisis, Bentuk dan Struktur Musik , Canon in D

Abstract

Video mapping is a new course started in 2019. The Output of the Video Mapping course in 2019 is different from 2020. In the class of 2019, educational choreographic works were displayed through Youtube streaming, while the class of 2020 was in the form of dance performances with the concept of video mapping, one of which was the work of Tutur Batin. This study aims to describe the creative process of the Tutur Batin group. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation. The creative process of the Tutur Batin work group goes through the pre-production, production, post-production stages of Latief & Utud's (2015) theory. in video mapping. The pre-production stage determines the theme of the song Tutur Batin. The animation was edited using the CapCut application. Dancers were selected from group members, namely Komang Bela Safitri. The production stage compiled the animation according to the lyrics of the song Tutur Batin. Post-production stage, final editing exports 1080p (HD) resolution video. The dancer's movements are adjusted to the animation displacement adjusted to the lyrics of the song Tutur Batin.Keywords: Creative process, Video Mapping, Tutur Bati

Abstract

This study aims to analyze keyboard learning at the Musicaisha Music Course in Tasikmalaya City. The subjects of this study were teachers/coaches and students in the Musicaisha Music Course. This study focused on learning components such as materials, methods, strategies, keyboard learning used in the Musicaisha  Music Course in Tasikmalaya City. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data obtained through direct observation during learning. Interviews were conducted with teachers/keyboard trainers as well as documentation in the form of photos of the learning process. The findings of this study indicate that the keyboard learning process at the Musicaisha Music Course is going well. This is supported by a private learning process. The stages of delivering the material were in accordance with the knowledge and abilities of the students, the first meeting students were given basic material regarding introduction to the keyboard until the sixth meeting, students were able to play the keyboard musical instrument by playing the simple song Ode To Joy even though it was not perfect.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Evaluation of the Arts and Culture Learning Process Using the Discussion Method at SDN 1 Perumnas Way Kandis. The stages in carrying out an evaluation of the learning process using the discussion method are the planning, implementation and results stages. The method used in this research is qualitative with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include the data collection stage, data reduction stage, data presentation stage, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that there are three stages in evaluating the arts and culture learning process using the discussion method at SDN 1 Perumnas Way Kandis. Starting from the planning stage by preparing a Learning Implementation Plan and preparing student assessment instruments. In the implementation stage, the teacher creates a conducive learning atmosphere by asking questions about the material that has been studied, providing direction for the discussion by forming students into four groups and providing the main material. In the results stage, the teacher gives a score to the learning process by looking at affective, cognitive and psychomotor aspects. Student scores on the affective, cognitive and psychomotor aspects of the evaluation of the learning process using the discussion method are used as added value in arts and culture learning.

Abstract

AbstractThe research aims to analyze the structure of the movement and describe the function of Ligar Mustofa's pencak silat arts. This study uses a qualitative method with an analytic descriptive approach. with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The results of this study are the results of the analysis of the motion of 13 moves which have the meaning of Islamic symbols in each of their movements. This shows that pencak silat has an important use and role in society, especially in developing Islamic preaching which is aimed at the meaning of every movement, as well as fostering a sense of wanting to develop and preserve pencak silat in the younger generation to love their culture and traditional arts more. Abstract

The Ittar Mulei dance is a cultural heritage dance from Central Lampung that depicts the process of releasing the bride to the groom. The research aims to describe the form of the Tari Ittar Mulei in the Widya Sasmita Studio, Central Lampung Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique is divided into three stages: reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings show that the elements of Tari Ittar Mulei consist of movements, musical accompaniment, makeup, costumes, props, and floor patterns. The dance has three movement parts: matek, cangget, and bedana. The musical accompaniment includes gongs, canang, drums, gujih, accordion, kulintang, rebana, and bedug. The costumes include clothes brackets, tapis cloth, kamisol, selappay tapis, bebe, belt, and bridal siger. The props used in this dance are tapis cloth, talam becaluk, and two pieces of selendang cloth. There are five floor patterns in Tari Ittar Mulei: letter A-shaped, arrow, letter V, two three two, and hexagon.Keywords: dance form, Ittar Mulei dance, widya sasmita company

Abstract

This study aims to find out the process of poetry musical extracurricular activities at K.H A Wahab Muhsin Vocational School and how to foster students' interest in poetry music extracurricular activities. This study uses a qualitative method with an analytic descriptive approach. with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The results of this study are extracurricular activities outside of school hours and still included in formal education at school. These extracurricular activities are no less important than intracurricular activities, because by participating in these extracurricular activities students are given the opportunity by the school to further develop their talents, interests and hobbies that students like. There are various kinds of extracurricular activities in school, one of which is Poetry Musicalization. Poetry musicalization is a way of conveying poetry by turning a poem into a song. The musical arrangement used must also be in harmony with the meaning of the poem to be conveyed. But on the other hand, for musical instruments there are no limitations for using any musical instrument. For the instruments used at K.H A Wahab Muhsin Vocational School, they use non-conventional musical instruments, namely musical instruments that are not as usual. Keywords: Extracurriculars, Poetry Musicalization, Non-Conventional Musical Instruments.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang bentuk dan fungsi tari Bejeneng dalam upacara adat bejeneng pada masyarakat adat Keratuan Melinting. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teori dalam penelitian ini menggunakan konsep bentuk milik Hadi dan fungsi milik Jazuli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tari Bejeneng merupakan tarian yang ditampilkan dalam sebuah upacara pemberian gelar adat bejeneng. Tari Bejeneng ditarikan secara berpasangan oleh laki-laki yang akan mendapat gelar dengan orang yang bergelar sama. Tari ini memiliki tiga ragam gerak diantaranya salam, mampang randu, dan balik palau. Alat musik yang digunakan adalah talo, kendang, canang, dan gong dengan satu tabuhan yaitu tabuh kedanggung. Busana yang digunakan adalah pengawo, bidak, kerimbung, kopiah, serta keris. Tari Bejeneng memiliki satu pola lantai berbentuk horizontal dan tidak menggunakan properti apapun. Tari Bejeneng berfungsi sebagai upacara adat karena tari ini menjadi rangkaian dan hanya dapat ditampilkan dalam upacara bejeneng. Tari Bejeneng juga memiliki fungsi komunikasi dan interaksi sosial karena mengandung nilai-nilai yang ingin disampaikan melalui simbol gerak, serta banyak terjadi interaksi sosial dalam tarinya.
